Good questions

As far as the juicer goes the champion can do green leafys...but not the best. I think if thats the route you want to go you might want to get a twin-gear juicer (research the green-power juicers).

As far as post surgury, I'm not a doctor so I couldn't really advise you with any type of credentials. That being said, I think you would be totally OK to do the juice-fast for at least three or four days. Probably the energy you save in digestion would be beneficial to your healing process.
