Hi there.

I started bleeding about a week after having the IUD inserted. One day before my period was suppose to start and it kept going for three weeks solidly. It was a lot heavier than normal and the PAIN was constant!!

I did not have the joint pains (yet!) but I did feel bloated and the moods! I was crying for nothing and got angry about little things. It was terrible.

I decided after a month that I have had enough. No help line or gynie was going to convince me to keep this ... Having constant pain is no joke. It was like being in labour all the time!!

I have had mine removed and even though I have wasted R2500 (paid from my pocket) it was not one day too soon! Never ever again!!!! I am glad to be rid of mine ... I am my old self again without pain and bleeding all the time! I have never had heavy bleeding and here I was bleeding all the time and heavy with big lots of stuff coming out - that was so disgusting, and no one bothers to tell you that this is what it is going to be like.

Good luck with having yours removed!! Remember, you will still bleed a bit, but then your body can go back to normal!!

Please write again when you are back to you old self!!!
