I am impressed with myself on how easy it was to get through the first day. But the first day is always easy. The power of belief is a strong thing. For example. I being water fasting on Monday February 13, 2012. I have good reason to be determined to do this. I understand that water fasting is not the answer to long term health but it is a good start if it is done right. I have read studies by the National Institute of Health that say that mice live 40 percent longer if they fast every other day. The same could be for humans. I am going to do all that I can do to do this the right way. This is not a quick fix, this is the start of me getting it right. And I am gonna get it right this time. I am beginning a 60 day water fast that will begin on March 15th, 2011. I will keep you guys updated on my condition as time goes on. I’d love to see comments if anyone is interested. I wish there was a way for people to donate to charrity for everyday I am successful. 60 days is a long time. I know that a balanced diet is the key to losing weight but this really is a game for me. I did go on a 9 day water fast before giving up. Thats the cold truth. But I do feel that my job as a baker does require me to be on my feet for 9 hours at a time and there is a lot of heavy lifting. I just decided to quit after 9 days. I broke it with rice and I lost 24 pounds in this time. visit the page

I have made little progress on my battle of the bulge and just can’t seem to get it right. I hope that the new year brings more self control for me and i can somehow get myself on the right track. I have had a realization that water fasting is not the longterm answer to real weight loss. Sure it will make you lose weight and fast but it does not tackle the issue of using food for comfort. That must come through moderation. And moderation comes through straight self discipline and will power. That is the ability make yourself do something because it is right and not because it is easy. Well its day 1 again for me, i gave in yesterday and begin anew tomorro august 25th. I will not set a time goal this time just to go as long as i can. I know to most this water fasting thing is nuerotic and i guess it is. Obsessing over food is neurotic also. I’m very obese and i can offord to water fast for very long periods of time as a skinny person would be asking for death if they did. I gave in. I broke my 60 day water fast and gave in and ate because i am mentally weak. My mind wasent totally made up. I guess i let reason creep into my head. Moderation is the key to success in life. Right now i am trying a restricted calorie diet. visit the page

- I am down 19 pounds so far...
Today is day 5 of my 60 day water fast and i feel empty inside. I feel drained like i have nothing in me. I do feel that i am more in touch with my emotions though. I havent felt weak anytime before today and today i can really tell that my body is burning pure fat for me to be alive. I am drinking about 4 liters of water a day. My face is much thinner and my butt is sore because of the fat loss in it. I can’t believe it but my butt look half the size it used to and sitting down i can feel the bones where there used to be padding there. My belly is still huge. I know this sounds crazy but i need people here online to keep me motivated because if you tell people in your daily life what your doing as far as the water fast they will think your crazy, i have only told 3 people. I will not tell everyone because they will probably have a negative reaction. I live alone so there is nothing tempting me like the smell of cooking.
