Half way woo hoo!!
 
Half way thru and i am absolutley going to see this thru, very bored with juices, dont really feel like anything but trying to keep them up for calories. I have lost a bit of weight, as always heaps to go. My sleping is all messed up again, when i sleep it is so deep but just have trouble falling asleep. Or rather that i like to go to bed late and sleep in, which has happened on other fasts too. I wish i could just go with what feels right but not sure work would completely understand sleeping thru the day!! well i am back again, this is my sixth 30 day fast and im on day 12. i havent kept a blog so far because i havent felt i needed one but on reflection i wish i had. i will try and post how it has been the last 12 days and stay up with it now. but right now i am trying to get to sleep so i guess typing on here is counter productive! will post more tomorrow! happy to be back!!   visit the page

Feeling excellent!!
 
Woo hoo completed my fifth 30 day long juice fast. I am guessing i lost about 8kgs, again i still have probably another 5 to go mostly my tummy but happy to work on it with low carb low fat diet and increase the exercise. this fast was relatively easy in regards to my willpower but i do not think i got the benefits i usually feel. next one i need to look more into different types of juice and take the detox much more seriously. i think it would be good to to start a 60 day one right from teh start. but now the hard stuff begins trying to ease into eating and not go overboard! lookign forwa ...   read more

Woo hoo only two days to go and not even a broken juicer is going to stop me getting there! Yep unfortunately yesterday it just stopped working! i am going to make it thru on master cleanse and i queezed orange juice in a little hand squeezer - tedious but lucky only two days to go. weight isn’t budging at all which is again very frustrating. looking forward to finishing, but very glad i have done it!   visit the page

Still going ok some days are better than others, yesterday i ran and for the first time i had energy and was not really sore. i cannot wait to get to 30 days. the weight is coming off but very very slow, the scales have only moved a couple of pounds in 9 days. this is hard to cope with but experience has told me that this happens. my pants that i go by now fit me fine, my aim was to get to the point that they are too big. not sure if that is going to happen in this fast so again looks like i have more work to do after the fast. still need to look at why i continue on this roller coaster ri ...   read more

well it is very strange for me posting so far into a fast. this is the first time i have done one without blogging everyday, the main reason i started to post is i really like looking back on how i was feeling and when i did previous fasts. it helps. and since i plan doing a 30 day fast every year it is a good record! yep so i am 18 days in and feeling pretty good. i will say as usuall i am a bit bored with the fast. i really miss eating but i also love the light feeling you get with fasting. i am not sure what i weighed before i started i just know i was overweight. the last four months ...   read more

slept really well last night didnt want to get out of bed, thank goodness i have to work otherwise would have laid there for hours and then be awake all night. trying to avoid a bad sleeping pattern which has happened to me on previous fasts. starting to get those little voices in my head saying you dont have to do this, just eat, have fun dont worry about the cleansing. they come and go and really its just a matter of telling myself i want to do this! well hopefully that and sticking to it! my tongue is covered in white yuck which is good. not having enough bm’s so will have to have lax t ...   read more

just going thru the motions
 
non eventful really...a bit of trouble sleeping but to be expected. first few days of the fast just a means to getting to a point where i feel fantastic, usually around day 7-10. sticking to apple and orange juice, water and herbal tea. this has worked in the past so going with what gives me the most sucess whilst achieving my goals and cleansing. no exercise as yet will work on this in the next few days!!   visit the page

well here i go again - time for a cleanse and i guess there is no better day to start then today!! goals are as usual get thru each day and have milestones to achieve. this is again about weight but i dont have that much to lose this time - 10-15 pound would be good. this one is more about the detox and getting healthy!! christmas, new year and easter have taken its toll on me and i find i am eating food that i never use to eat - so i want to get back to that feeling of being clean and not clogged up. its also about taking control and exercising my power over consumption!! i am feeling bo ...   read more

a new year brings new possibilites!!
 
my weight has still remained the same which is good that i have not gained any but i do still have a desire to be smaller but obviously not putting the work in to make that happen. christmas and new year was a big test and some of it was good some not so good. i did not overeat which i am proud of myself. i maintained mostly raw on most days and when i did eat cooked i really portion controlled. exercise was not good and still isnt. i only went for one walk in two weeks, i definately want to get back into it and just have to make myself do it. i am really considering another 30 day fast bu ...   read more

Lost a little
 
I have lost a little weight only a few pounds but some clothes are fitting better. Same story as last week really - i havent put on any weight and i havent lost any. I am ok with this at the moment but still have a bit to go to get to where i want, but i am still happy with my progress so far. Well with a banana and mandarin the fast is over - i finally weighed myself and i am 140pd. the last time i weighed myself ws a long time before the fast but i was 162 pd I am guessing i was around that weight if not a little heavier, so i lost 22pd - not bad not great but about average for what i lose on a fast. I love posting that headline! Woohoo very proud of myself i have proven i still have it in me to do this!! Feeling really good, tonight i walked around the big lake and did some weights etc. It feels like the exercise is here to stay. I dont know my weight exactly but judging on other fasts and how a few things fit i would say around the low 140’s, with a loss of probably about 20 pounds. Ran again tonight had lower energy than last night and my legs were a bit sore. Had to work thru lunch today so didnt get my juice which really didnt help with the run. Last day tomorrow as always mixed emotions about finishing. Very much in the fasting rythm it seems such a pity to disrupt it. But its will be good too start working on this weight the hard way - with food added! all good still!
 
today was a good day feeling really great - ran four miles and did some weights situps and push ups. Definately getting fitter. The worse thing is the weight is not moving at all- i am not weighing myself but going by clothing and my smaller work pants dont fit me any better than last week. I experienced this last two fasts where the weight slows downs to snail pace at the end. it hardly seems possible when i am exercising so much. Last weekend of fasting- it was very laid back. Saturday walked the big lake and sunday was a day of rest - completely! Back into running tomorrow. Starting to want food, i am not hungry just looking fwd to eating. Weight is not budging at all - i know if i kept going it would have to eventually disappear! Things are going really, this bit of fasting is so easy, feels like i could go on forever. I do miss my social life though so more than likely 30 days will be it for me. I am a bit disappointed in the weight loss but as always i cant expect a 30 day fast to undo over a years worth of indulgence. Everything is goind fantastic, i have hit the fasting groove!! Yesterday i went for a walk around the big lake, there are a set of stairs that go on forever when i first started walking this trek i could not get up them without stopping numerous times, i finally got to a point that i could get up them one at a time without stopping, well yesterday i got up them two at a time without stopping - very happy! Today i went for a run and made it the full four miles, hills and all. three weeks ago i wasnt runnign at all, just really happy i am getting fitter and stronger. yeah everything has got sooo much better, i feel fantastic!! i’m not sure what bought on the awfulness but so happy it has gone. Its friday and i am not even bothered by it - actually looking forward to the weekend and sleeping in, planting some seedlings and spending some time outside. Last nite has possibly been the worse i have felt so far this fast. I came home from work very low energy and feeling sick in the stomach. I know i didnt have enought juice so made some mc lemonade with extra agave to get some calories into me. Felt a bit better but could not go for a run or walk - struggled all nite with feelings of wanting to quit because i just felt so bad. When i tried to go to sleep i had the most awful sensation wanting to escape my body..very weird it was both emotional and physical with my hands and feet tingling. A little reflection
 
Two weeks in and i am feeling pretty good. My energy levels go up and down, i am getting pretty sick of the juices so might need to add the mc lemonade this week. I know i will make to the end just no chance of quitting now, but it would be nice if i felt a little better. I have not weighed myself which i am pretty happy with, previous fasts i have been obsessed with the weigh ins. I know the weight is going so that is enough. best thing about that is going to the cupboard and being able to fit into more and more things every day. Thursday i woke up better still not great but better. I ran 3 miles without stopping so that was good. Weight is coming off slowy but i can feel it moving. Friday i was worried a bit about the weekend - i am not breaking this fast that i am certain of but it just not easy on weekends. Made it thru, walked around the little lake and did some weights sit ups and push ups. Slept great last nite and today just taking it easy my legs are really sore. Things are going well today is day 9 and I am definitely feeling better, stronger in myself and very determined to make it. Last night was the first time I felt a bit hungry so I am obviously not having enough juice. I am mostly drinking water all day, juice at lunch time and then juice at dinner time with herbal tea after that if I feel like it. Terrible nites sleep, a pattern I have established in previous fasts seems to be happening again. I try to go to bed at a decent time lay there for hours cannot get to sleep finally fall asleep early hours of the mourning and then cant get out of bed til mid mornings…arghhh. I need to break this obviously for work this week but also hate been awake when I want to be asleep and asleep when I want to be awake. Woohoo first milestone made it thru Friday nite!!! Feeling very proud of myself. Idid have to shut myself in my room and watch a movie on the laptop avoided all around me. I feel very distant from everyone, just feeling very fragile. Anyway today played tennis with the family and then went for a walk, we have something to go to tonight but I am not worried. Emotional roller coaster
 
Sleeping has improved but still waking up but getting back to sleep really easily. Let myself go too long without juice today and lack of calories/sugar whatever drove me crazy, lost control cracked the absolute shits and thru things in the dishwasher…then went and bawled my eyes out. The roller coaster ride of emotions. Went for a walk/run around big lake ran a bit so felt better. Then had some time on my own at home which was needed. Ramping up the exercise
 
A bit better sleep but still not great, still on freshly squeezed oranges and water. Today at work the guys had knock off beers – I had to get out of there as quick as I could. Good thing I went for a walk around little lake and actually jogged a bit..ran about ¾ of it none of the hills though. Let the detox begin
 
Not such a great nite sleep but too be expected today I am feeling very vulnerable like I want to take myself away somewhere safe and do this not around food and family and temptation. Feeling lots of anger and now I am directing it at others. Walked around big lake today which helped a bit. Orange juice again today and water and herbal tea, not hungry just getting thru it. Well juicing saddle that is – time to give it another go, aiming for 30 but will go one day at a time. I have tried twice this year to juice, the first time got to four days and then yes Friday nite hit and it all went out the window. Next attempt didn’t even make it thru one day which in all of my 5 ½ years of juicing is the worst attempt I have ever made! woo hoo made it to day 10 and 1/3 of the way thru! I have lost access to my previous blog - bit bummed about it but my own fault! so hopefully people will still be interested in following me on this one - if not that is fine too its more for me to be accountable and have an account of my fasts. i have kept a diary of the last 10 days so i will post soon.
