Tell Congress Not to Allow Mining on Public Lands
This week, the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on the federal budget, which currently contains a proposal that would weaken US mining laws. If passed, the proposal would put millions of acres of public land, including lands considered sacred to Native Americans, up for sale.

ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s

Fluoride in Drinking Water 19 y
Fluoride has been added to drinking water in the United States since the 1950's to reduce cavities in children. In high doses, fluoride is toxic. Now there is a controversial charge that fluoride added to drinking water is linked to bone cancer. The Environmental Working Group is asking the NIH to list fluoride in tap water as a carcinogen.

Just about anything organic, from turkey entrails to cow dung, can be used to make biofuel, and with oil over $60 a barrel, just about everything is!
Liora’s comment: If dung from cows can be turned into biofuel, why can’t we use human waste for the same thing? And add to that all the waste from our pets and other livestock!
