Tomorrow...
thoughts before beginning the fast...
Date: 5/17/2009 3:32:17 PM ( 4 y ) ... viewed 3563 times We girls who'd like to make some serious changes in lifestyle all like this word don't we:) But yes, tomorrow I'm going to start a 10 day fast, only drinking water and herbal teas, and I do hope i'll make it through and am sure if I will it will be amazing.
I have done this before, but in the environment of fasting retreat which was hard enough, and I could just about manage, and felt great afterwards. But this time, resources limited, no excuses, and spare time, I want to make it by myself at home, hm, i know it'll be a struggle but I really need a good kick start because my lifestyle has been really bad and unhealthy. And for me it's like a downward spiral, the more you let yourself go, the worse your habits become and the harder to stop it.
Right now i'm feeling really run down, put on quite a lot of weight (164sm - 63kg) and my skin is quite bad because i've been eating too much junk, and emotional state is also not great.
So my goals are to loose some weight, detoxify my body, calm down mind, MAKE THROUGH THIS FAST and continue with the healthy choices after its over.
Another good motivation is that my long lost boyfriend is coming back from travels in couple of weeks and i want to look my utmost beautiful best when we meet. :)
In a way, I'm looking forward to do this, because I know from experience that when you manage to stay strong these 10 days, you feel amazing, your body is really thanking you and the world is smiling.
So tonight the plan is to throw away all the snacks and everything from the fridge so there's no temptation tomorrow morning.
Going to read other people's blogs to get some inspiration...
