This is a recording of Mark McAfee of Organic Pastures Dairy in California having an informal discussion with Dr. Dale Jacobson about the value of raw milk. The discussion opens with a quick history of milk. Those who have read The Untold Story of Milk by Dr. Ron Schmid will be familiar with this fascinating story.
Following this is a discussion on how allergy trends align with antibiotic use and consumption of pasteurized milk. One interesting point concerns the fact the genetically engineered bovine growth hormone rBST is only allowed in the U.S. and condemned elsewhere. In the U.S., demand for rBST is dropping due to falling demand for commercial milk.
Mark McAfee probably has a million fascinating stories and he shares one in this video about a young Masai who came to the United States to attend Stanford University. This intelligent man came here in good health but developed Crohn’s disease. He was unable to consume any dairy until he discovered raw milk from Organic Pastures. Today he is on the road to recovery. The health benefits of cultured dairy products like yogurt and kefir come up in the conversation and there are brief mentions of studies like the Parsifal Study which shows children on raw milk tend to be less susceptible to certain illnesses and allergies. This video rates a thumbs up.

Raw Dairy that says they sold safe raw cheese to Rawsome is being shut down
in Missouri. Their Cheese was confisgated.
The official position on raw milk is told by the FDA here.
"Please be advised that FDA and other federal and state health agencies have documented a long history of the risks to human health associated with the consumption of raw milk. Clinical and epidemiological studies from FDA, state health agencies, and others have established a direct causal link between gastrointestinal disease and the consumption of raw milk."
Three FDA representatives took 100 swab/sponge tests of the cheese plant and the milk barn at Morningland Dairy during the first week of September. The following week, Audra Ashemore of the FDA, called Plant Manager York, to say that the swab test results were in, and that the tests came back clear. When Mrs. Dixon requested a copy of these test results, Ms. Ashemore stated that Morningland Dairy would receive a copy, and that the FDA did not have a copy. To date, Morningland Dairy has not received a copy of said results, and no mention has since been made of the fact that both the cheese plant and the milk barn tested clear.
