Smart Meters – Cancer, personal surveillance & the de facto Eugenics program

On the one hand they can be used and are used for personal surveillance; information gathered by the power companies is often sold to other agencies for marketing purposes, worse still information has been sold to the police who have used this information to raid Marijuana houses. A good thing some might say, but the police will also know whether you were home or not when you said you were on the night of that drink driving incident, or maybe you were somewhere that you did not want your husband or wife to know about for good reason. Smart meters will record on their database when you are using your electric toothbrush, whilst you are shaving, and at what time you turn on your electric cooker or in fact if you are using your home to run a business or when you are on vacation. You will never get to see this database nor the information they have on you; Not possible? Well think again, this is like a radio wave version of google analytics, any webmaster is able to identify, what countries visitors came from, which city they came from, how long they were at your site, return visits, mobile devices used and you can even find out IP addresses of visitors should you choose to pay!
With smart meters, you might just as well stick a webcam and microphone in every room much like the TV show Big Brother and let the world know (through power companies selling the info) exactly what you are doing at any one moment! A variation on a theme of The Truman show!
On the other hand there is an abundance of well documented studies that prove these “dirty, non-eco-friendly” meters of mass destruction are a clear and present danger to our health.
Lyon, France, May 31, 2011. The World Health Organization warns that Smart meter radiation is a Class 2B carcinogen. It is important to understand that this study was looking into the health effects of microwave radiation in general and not solely on smart meter radiation, but however you mix it, the result is still the same.
Summarizing Daniel Hirsch senior lecturer on nuclear policy at UCSC (university college of Santa Cruz) he said: “The State legislator asked for an independent study as PG&E (The Pacific Gas and Electric Company) study concluded that there was nothing to worry about. Rightly ,The state legislature wanted independent study from a party that was disinterested in the outcome of the study”. He went on to say that “what troubled him was that that “The CCST’s (California council on science and technology) independent report was conducted by the Richard Tell the same person who compiled the initial report for PG&E. furthermore EPRI report (Electric Power Research Institute) contained a table which CCST compared radiation doses from a smart meter, cell phone and a microwave oven”. Daniel Hirsch concluded by saying: “The problem here is that they were comparing apples and oranges. They looked at whole body exposure from a smart meter and compared it to the dose to the ear from a cell phone instead of looking at the whole body dose from a cell phone and comparing it to the whole body dose of a smart meter. They also presumed 100% duty cycle for the smart meter and a 1% duty cycle for the cell phone where you are only using the cell phone for part of an hour a day on average. They did not correct for that, they did not look at the key motive exposure, 99% of the time the cell wasn’t producing radiation but they assumed 100% of the time that the smart meter would, however when you correct for these two factors the smart meter turns out to be 100 times more key motive than the cell phone”.
The carcinogenic factor aside, these meters are found to be partly responsible for Sick House Syndrome and there are endless testimonies on how headaches, Migraines and other neurological disorders miraculously disappear when smart meters are removed from the premises. Even MS suffers have found relief from their symptoms. A 2008 study by DR Magda Havas showed that the radiation waves can contribute to high blood sugar levels and that “By closely following plasma glucose levels in four Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics, we find that they responded directly to the amount of dirty electricity in their environment”.
Cardiac, Respiratory & Ophthalmologic problems are reported but since the smart meters are “approved” and adverse health effects take place over a long period of time, it is very difficult to make the power companies accountable for their equipment.
The power companies do not care about your health their only agenda is to maximize profits. In 2010 PG&E in the last of cases linked to Erin Brockovich PG&E settled for $20 million. In October 2010 PG&E hit by five several wrongful death lawsuits and most recently on September 01, a number of San Bruno residents sued PG&E over the deadly PG&E pipeline explosion.
And the list goes on and on and on!
