Ghost clearing
Date: 5/13/2012 3:21:25 PM ( 12 mon ) ... viewed 760 times I am still skeptical, but it seems I had a ghost here in my apartment.
Here is a condensed but complete version of what happened here this past week, how I "cleared the ghost" , and why, I have to believe, I feel SO MUCH BETTER, why I slept well for two nights for the first time in weeks, with no vivid dreams, no difficulty telling waking from sleeping as was the case for the past several weeks... and no breathing sounds at night, no cold blasts, no more fleeting images out the corner of my eye...

Ghost Clearing - Short Version[/b][/u]
First off, some consideration should be given to the person who lives where the ghost is, because it just may all be part of the way it happened. Two people had lived here between myself and the tenant whom I suspect was here in spirit, messing my life up, and they didn't seem to have any visitors from other worlds.
As I was told, and seems reasonable, the spirit would want to be with living people who are like they were when they were alive. He may have been here because I am here, and in fact I may have been pushed here by the forces of the universe to help him.
On that note, I firmly believe we should treat them gently. I see advise about being stern and so on, which I eventually had to do, but it seems essential that the spirit trusts the one trying to get them to leave. I told him - Alex was his name in life - that people trust me, I allways try to be helpfull and positive in all my relations, and that the expert who was helping me was a very kind and trustworth person. This is all quite true, by the way, and if clearing are not working for some people, it just might be THEM as much as the spirit that is the problem
Okay, sorry to take so long, the rest is simple - when I brought up the subject that I was not well because of a ghost being here, Debbie, my expert helper, merely suggested that "Cedar can be helpfull" and waited for me to enquire further before saying more. All the others jumped up and down and said "oooo, let ME, let ME, I will come and clear your ghost". See? They wanted to be the hero, their motivations were wrong, especially for me, I like to do things myself.
Debbie is, possibly without even knowing it, very wise.
Then after I expressed interest in what she had to say, she told me all I needed to know -
* Open the doors and windows to let him out;
* Cedar will bother the ghost so he will not like it here, but
* Use Sweetgrass smudges on yourself to protect yourself, and then
* Burn Sage to keep it away, and
* Light a white candle before you start with the clearing and let it burn all away in it's own time; you might want to do that more than once over the coming days.
* And TALK to the ghost, tell it how it is bothering you, how it isn't right for the dead to be interfering with the living even though he may be lonely it will be better if he crosses over, he has to cross over, it is SO BEAUTIFULL on the other side, you should go Alex, cross over"
The exact words are not important.
She came back the next day and said things like that while standing in my bedroom, that is where most of the disturbances had been taking place, and at one point all the hairs on my legs stood up and I had goosebumps and then Debbie looked up and said "Did you feel that" with a wry smile on her face.
Then she left. She said if I find anything that might belong to Alex, take it to the creek out back and bury it in the bottom and do a tobacco offering.
Now, this is mostly Native wisdom, as in the plants and so on. For me, Native culture is right, I have benefitted a lot from that wisdom. For you, maybe something else.
