Broke Fast, Starting again 07.25.2012
I am going to start fasting tomorrow for the next 21-days. I plan on consuming lemon water daily and coconut water every seven days.

I broke my fast due to an unscheduled event that I had no idea how to avoid. Nothing taste that great. I feel even though I broke fast that it isn't all lost. I don't feel out of control which is a first! I feel okay about this and tomorrow I can restart and everything will be okay. No worries.
I am going to start fasting tomorrow for the next 21-days. I plan on consuming lemon water daily and coconut water every seven days. I don't want the coconut water to become a habit. 30 grams of carbs will bring a person out of ketosis and each serving of coconut water is 11 grams of carbs. So the carbs add up fast and as I saw from my earlier tests the dips were never neutral but I would like to stay in the 80 gram ketosis range.
I like to have some extra source of electrolyte and feel for me that it be personally stupid to fast on only water. I don't have anything to prove by doing a water only fast nor do I think it is necessary to abstain from a electrolyte source if the carb is minimum and supports my body essential functions during a fast. Our bodies does not make electrolytes. When people go on pure water fast they are basically just 'surviving' there is no source of electrolytes that the body is able pull from storage and use.
So today is my off day. I will update either tomorrow or the second day of my fast.
