If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come. (Chinese Proverb)

For the past two days i was on a weight plateau. Oscillating between 139 and 140 lbs. So yesterday i fasted (water only), and was at a new low this morning upon waking: 137.4 lb. Great! And am in mid to high-range ketosis now, consistently : )

Felt brilliant fasting. I had loads of energy for my hot yoga, and really pushed myself in some of the postures, reaching new depths. In fact, it was easier to get through the class than on days where i had been eating.

But don't feel my best today, believe it or not. Liver flush tonight i think. I will eat some fresh fish, with a little herbs, at around midday today. Then yoga from 6.30-8pm, followed by salts at 9pm and oil at eleven.

Requires constant effort. But the right way is the hard way, as Bikram says (guy who came up with the series i do).

My boyfriend is such a support, and i'm very, very thankful for that. Thank You God. He's doing the yoga challenge with me (1.5hrs a day for 30 days straight), and says "well done" when i lose another pound. He'd never tell me to lose weight; he just supports me when i'm doing it for myself. I respect that so much. He also puts up with the weirdness of coffee enemas and liver cleanses! (both of which he does from time to time).

I think i could become addicted to this fasting thing. It gave me a real buzz waking up this morning, knowing that i had gone through with it yesterday. I bought myself a cool scarf yesterday morning, with the promise that i would wear it for the day as a symbol to myself of my fasting. As a reminder, and a reward. Worked well!!!

So if I haven't lost weight tomorrow, will maybe buy myself another little item of clothing/jewellery, and fast again.

I'm doing this weight-loss thing the quick route! 4 lb a week, week upon week. I know that that's possible, so that's my aim.

Am looking after myself really well. Body, mind and soul. Clean apartment, clean clothes, clean body, clean food. (And i'm not a person obsessed with cleanliness, by any means). It just feels great to be doing each little thing that i know is best for me, as much as possible.

Blessings. I pray for all others on journeys of personal improvement.

Lots of Love.

And Joy is Everywhere;

It is in the Earth's green covering of grass;

In the blue serenity of the Sky;

In the reckless exuberance of Spring;

In the severe abstinence of gray Winter;

In the Living flesh that animates our bodily frame;

In the perfect poise of the Human figure, noble and upright;

In Living;

In the exercise of all our powers;

In the acquisition of Knowledge;

in fighting evils...

Joy is there Everywhere.
