master cleanse completed and starting water fast

I had initially planned to do a 10-day master cleanse, take a short 3-day break over the Christmas weekend and then start a water fast right after the holidays.

My plan has been altered!

I had only completed a 7-day Master Cleanse between Dec 13, 2017 until Dec 19, 2017. From Dec 20th, 2017 until the end of the month (and the year) I ate normally and tried to maintain the weight I lost during the MC. I had ended the MC at a weight of 165 pounds (a total weight loss of 7 pounds in 7 days). The exception was of course Christmas Day when I did indulge, but not overly.

Today we are Dec 31st, 2017, and I am at 165.8 pounds. Tomorrow, the first day of the New Year, I will start a water fast until I reach my goal weight of 145 pounds. I am hoping to lose a pound a day. I am a bit nervous because I haven't properly prepared myself prior to fasting. I have not been eating many fruits and vegetables in the last 3 days ,but I know if I hold it off any longer I will not do it all so I am just going to go for it! During this water fast I will only be consuming water, possibly with some lemon - and occasionally drink tea - and that is it!

If you haven't been reading my blog since the beginning, I am doing this strictly for weight loss.
Yes, I get that there are other benefits and probably healthier and wiser reason to water fast, but they are just not my focus. I it is my choice to do this for weight loss.
Yes, I get there are better ways to lose weight and, again, healthier and wiser ways. But it is my choice to water fast for weight loss, so I am going to do it!
