Ureter of the new kidney is attached to the bladder, through which urine from the kidney reaches the bladder. Finally, an incision is closed up with sutures.

The kidney may be taken from a deceased organ donor (Cadaver) or from a living donor. Usually, family members or others who match well with the patient may donate one of their kidneys.
