Master Cleanse Day 3 Wrap Up by MissW .....

If I can do it, you can do it, we all can do it...

Ok, another day under my belt. I drank enough lemonades and used enough maple syrup and only felt true hunger once. As soon as I felt that gnawing hunger I had another lemonade. Lots of water today and a treat of delicious peppermint tea. Such heaven. Funny how the small things please me these days!

I went to the grocery store for J today since he is working late and I can pretty much make my own schedule. It was a rather odd experience because I could smell all of the foods. I don't go to the middle of the store, always shop the periphery where the healthy stuff is kept. I can tell you this, the fragrance of the organic strawberries I bought for him was insane, just smelled so good. Now strawberries have always been one of my fave fruits, so it makes sense that the scent was so intoxicating. But, even with that glorious aroma, I wasn't hungry nor was I tempted. Plus, I even walked by the area where they demo fun new food and was actually ok. I saw the words "Demo Today: Organic Coffee" and whatever else they were demoing and thought how odd it was that a little over a week ago I would have been clamouring to try that coffee. Didn't phase me. I got all of the shopping done and came home and relaxed.

Complete calmness and mental clarity today. The usual mild euphoria. All positive reactions today except for my tongue which is much more coated than yesterday and my chin which has some "congestion" and blocked pores. They say that your chin is a reflection of your liver, so perhaps I am detoxing. Day 4 is tomorrow and I am sure it will be an easy one!

Am so into feeling clean and can't imagine eating a lot of the things I used to eat, although I really ate pretty cleanly aside from the wheat (which I believe was a food allergy or sensitivity) and cheese (organic, so I don't know if it's good or bad, but I am just not craving fats for some reason...so it sounds odd to me right now). Once in a while I had dessert, but am not craving that either. I don't want to become rigid in my nutritional thinking yet I do want to eat healthfully. I need to find a balance. As I've said in previous posts, one nutritional plan espouses "this", the other eschews "it." So, how can I possibly wade through the veritable SEA OF CRAP out there and figure out what to eat. Intuition, it's all about common sense.

Well, there is certainly plenty of time to figure that one out too as I still have quite a few days left on the cleanse. Patience not being my main virtue. Although apparently tonight, verbosity IS!!!
