Last weekend I went to Gathering of the Elders in Big Bear, California. Indigenous elders from all over the world met and shared their stories, wisdom, and healing. I met Bennie LeBeau (Blue Thunder), a Shoshone Elder who spoke of the Rainbow Tribe. My mouth dropped open in wonder and I cried as I listened to him speak. The message he gave sounded so much like the one Spirit sent to me in "Birth/Death/Rebirth", received in the early morning of the first day of Gathering of the Elders! Spirit and Mother Earth spoke to me after the Gathering and told me the following:

Spirit Guides: ...you were never one meant to spend your life quietly, silently, on a meditation cushion in a monastary. You have been and done that in the past(life), in Japan. No, you are meant in this lifetime to be a mouth, a spokesperson for Spirit. Things will unfold for you. They are unfolding now. Mother wishes to speak to you. A time of transition and change!

Dear One, it is I, Your Great Mother!

So proud of you are We! You did well this (past) weekend. You connected with the man-of-my-heart, Blue Thunder, He-Who-Heals-The-Waters. We are well pleased. You have made an important connection! Do not let this connection fray.

Be bold! Come forth! It is time to open your mouth as Spirit tells you, and Speak! Speak on my behalf. Speak on your Soul's behalf. Speak on behalf of my waters, my multitudes of children, my plant and animal offspring as well as your human brethren. Speak! Speak! Speak! The Rainbow Tribe of which we have spoken awaits you. Join your sisters and brothers around the world, in all their colors and traditions and wisdom. Speak. Let yourself be known, be heard. Speak! Do not hide behind fear of what your culture deems to be "normal." Speak!

You were never meant to be silent, as Spirit says. Speak! Give me voice. Speak! Speak for my trammeled body, speak for my Soul, speak for my mountains, my valleys, my seas, Speak! Speak for my deserts, my rocks and my gems. Speak for my bowels and for my surfaces, Speak! Speak for my waters, my rivers long dammed, my tributaries, lakes and marshes. Speak! Speak for my oceans, my seas and my storms. Speak for my waters, Speak! Speak! Speak for my rainbows, my air and my body. Speak for my plains and my savannahs. Speak for my animal children, those running wild and free and those in captivity. Speak! Speak! Speak for my suffering children, human, animal and plant, my rainforests, trees, and yes, my grasses and "weeds." Speak! Speak! Speak for all Life, for the one vast Web of Consciousness that surrounds us. Speak for my Soul-BEing. Speak for yours. Speak!
