Mother Nature Reminds Us We Affect Each Other by greggechols .....

Each of us possess an "Internal Slaveholder" that keeps us locked into old ways of being, old ways of treating one another. It is time we release ourselves from our own prisons!

We still are walking the planet with “Internal Slaveholders” keeping us at bay, and I wonder how this is really affecting the world at large.

In recent months, I’ve been catching images in dreams and meditations regarding racial relations in our country. And it seems to be that is a topic that is heating up again in the United States. In Austin, Texas, five Latino youths have been killed by police officers in the last year—something is brewing there. Something is brewing in Los Angeles where a constable was killed by a Latino and in New York, where a black man was killed by three white teens. It feels like the racial crisis is beginning to stir up again in this country.

There is something deep that is bubbling up, and I like these words that came to me within the last month upon waking:

It’s about the dark and the light energies. We who have chosen this path have agreed to free energy within people, liberate people and help move people into freedom. That is the work of a lightworker. Move people directly into their fears, their experiences of injustice, so that they can break those shackles—they can rid themselves of the Internal Slaveholders. We are still with slavery within the mind—that is an old tradition that still exists in our mind, our psyche—within the way we approach the world. By facing this fact—dialoguing with it, allowing it space into the open—we can then move into freeing it from our psyche, giving us new room to maneuver. It is a therapeutic movement of light.

Something is definitely alive and moving, and it is finding itself as a Guest within me. The Internal Slaveholders—something that is affecting each and every one of us in this country at this time. I was thinking this morning about how oppressed we really are in this world today, and I don’t even know it’s limited to America. How different are things from life in prison? Breakfast at a certain time, work during the day, come back for count, dinner, recreation, and then go to bed. People “out” here in the “free world” get up, drive an hour to work, spend nine hours at work, drive an hour home, eat dinner, watch television, go to bed—then have Saturday and Sunday off. It is a collective dream, this “workday, workweek” thing. It is all run by the Internal Slaveholders!

I am remembering a visionary experience in Brasil in April, where I had the distinct feeling that our role at this time in the world was to re-create all the myths and gods. Recently, I found this in Michael Tucker’s Dreaming with Open Eyes:

The initiatory, shamanic impact of The Doors is again difficult to gainsay…Sick of doubt, sick of being dominated by the dour faces of corporate America which stared at him ‘from the TV Tower,’ Morrison implores us—to an hypnotic, modal accompaniment soaked in the spirit of the blues—to reinvent all the gods, all the myths of the ages, in order to celebrate symbols ‘from deep elder forests.’ (p. 211)

Something is truly alive in the spirit of what Morrison sang, and it wants expression today. We are being asked to re-create all the gods and myths at this time, and to heal the human race and planet at the same time—why should there be any less of a request from The Gods? Shouldn’t they ask for it All? Why would we take these roles as humans and not aspire to accomplish all of this—such a great task!

For some reason, though, the world has decided to shut down its visionary apparatus and stare itself into oblivion with computers and television. Instead of imagining and sharing the visions of what the community should be doing to move the world forward, we’re debating wars and Supreme Court justices and things of that nature. We’ve hidden the real issues away from ourselves and found meaningless ways in which to occupy our waking moments. How strange and hideous must everyone’s dreamlife be when we are repressing what the anima mundi is calling out for us! What strange creatures must be lurking in the minds of the world’s citizens at night if all this is being ignored!

But we’ve allowed science, religion and politics to explain away anything meaningful that might keep us together. Hugh Milne reminds us in the remarkable healing textbook The Heart of Listening that “we are one another” (p. 60). We have been everything and anything that has ever walked on the planet—or existed in the galaxy. It is amazing how everything in the world today—well, politically, for certain—is designed to keep us from experiencing this, and from our souls being reminded.

Imagine the state of things if we were each allowed to experience this truth! What if all the priests and preachers allowed their congregations to fully immerse themselves in this reality? Our souls would not only jump for joy, but so would the planet and the universe! Every living creature on the planet would vibrate to this amazing event. Not only would the world be changed forever; so would all of the past and the future and, well, things would be pretty different.

We are all linked into this mass together. Jane Roberts writes this in her Seth-channeled book The Nature of the Psyche: Its Human Expression:

The wind outside and the breath were felt to be one and the same, so that the wind was the earth breathing out the breath that rose from the mouths of the living, spreading out through the earth’s body. Part of a man went out with breath—therefore, man’s consciousness could go wherever the wind traveled. A man’s consciousness, traveling with the wind, became part of all places. (Pp. 98-99).

In early times, man’s consciousness allowed him to freely experience his oneness with everything! This is something the mystics, sages, Vedas, Rastafarians and every consciousness explorer on the planet could tell you. But because we have chosen to ignore and forget this reality during this “Age of Reason,” we have instead chosen to use Reason to hate our brothers and sisters—all our relations—and live from this tyrannical mode of our Internal Slaveholder.

What do we do about this Internal Slaveholder? Everything is subject to his wrath, you know: animals and plants and insects and weather are all subject to man’s domination, and they all belong to man. To hell with the mountain in the way of our development: we’ll bulldoze it, blast it, wipe it off the map—it doesn’t matter, man owns it; it is a slave to Mankind. Everything belongs to man.

Perhaps we can begin to objectively look at this dangerous position that is driving the planet into a submissive pattern that will bring man to his knees, for I truly don’t think the planet will allow for anything other than that to occur. The planet will survive. She’s much smarter, much more mightier than us measly humans!
