The Enemy Within by LightLizard .....

A Sacred Debt

The ego is not our 'enemy' -unless we allow it to control and drive
our relationships with ourself and others.
It is a necessary lens that we view this level
of the multiverse with, and an essential tool
to move through matter.
It is the 'illusion' that has
been mentioned time and again in many
writings and teachings of the great Masters.

Is it wise to let an illusion drive our lives?

It is a fiction of the mind, a convenience that we need
to bake pies without burning them and cross the street safely.
A 'reference' point for who (we think) we are-

It begins in early childhood, when the infant recognises
that s/he is a separate entity from mother.
Society confirms and celebrates this to the point
of insanity, and unless the individual seeks a greater
awareness, they may never, in this life, come to know the
Truth and Glory of our One-ness.

A life-threatening trauma can also
be a very effective means of opening one's eyes.
My hope and intention is to offer alternatives
to the traumatic lessons, as I can attest;
they work well, but are avoidable-if
one is willing to open their minds and try.

Love is the highest vibration we can experience in this
life, and to live in the intellect is to court fear and misery.

So, I would say, not to 'shed' the ego,
but to put it, and keep it in it's place.

How?

We are born with two hemispheres to our brains.
A corpus callosum (which allows communication between the hemispheres) and various other parts, as well.

The left hemisphere, as you are probably
aware of, is the part of our brains that
houses the function of reason and logic.
It could be termed 'the male' aspect of our being/brain.

The right hemisphere allows us to be creative,
intuitive and could be called 'the female' aspect of our being.

If we use just one hemisphere to perceive and function,
we will be unbalanced.

This is why the world,
the majority of 'humans', are so troubled
and fear-filled in our times;

There is a widespread usage of the left hemisphere,
a 'worshipping' of logic and reason, so to speak.

The left hemisphere is the seat of reason, yes, and
responsible for maintaining our 'sense
of self'- also termed 'ego.'

The 'male' aspect has been dominant for far too long.

This must be altered, in some way.

Why?

As the world's population
increases; the imbalances we struggle with will increase
expoentially -until we destroy ourselves.

I would like to see this prevented and hope to
be a part of the many who are aware of this dynamic
and wish to help others consider the possibilities of
integrating these aspects of our being.

To me, this is True Healing for ALL!

We owe this to the generations that
are to come after us!

*LOVE*
