It was an interesting weekend - the fiance and I made a quick trip down to NYC (where we used to live, in Brooklyn) to pick up my wedding dress and come back up north.

I ate pretty well this weekend.

I've been eating a lot of yogurt, as recommended by my colonic-therapist. Friday I took some tofu and yogurt in the car, and had 6 pieces of sushi for dinner. That was really tough - I felt angry I couldn't have more, and a little unsatisfied. But I felt fine a little while after dinner.

Saturday I had a few low-fat pringles, some rice milk & tofu. For dinner, beef stew over a biscuit. I ate exactly half of the dish, and it was a perfect amount. It seems that if I eat about half as much as I want to, I end up in pretty good shape.

Sunday we chilled out at home, with no food in the house. I had 3 rice cakes, some celery & peanut butter, some yogurt. That was good.

Then we made some rice with spinach, coconut milk, ground beef (organic) and ginger basmati rice (which I flavored with a ginger tea bag - COOL!) That was good.

We did have some toast and soup for dinner, and that dinner was the first time I really felt TOO full. I think that feeling of the TOO full is the indicator - if I can stay AWAY from that feeling I will be able to lose weight.

Today I have had the smallest size of soup from the coop - man it's a SMALL serving. It was broccoli and lentil soup - good & hearty. I also had a yogurt smoothie and one hershey's kiss. I'm now feeling the right amount of full. I'm feeling a little deprived, but what is it that I want? Candy, or junk food. I'm not actually hungry, apparently. Just trying to make up for having such a sensible and healthy lunch.

I'm also trying to drop down on eating till Wednesday, colonic #2. I know the better I eat this week, the more pleasant that experience will be. I'm very invested in keeping the colonic experience as pleasant as possible! So today, I've had lunch. I'm going to have veggies tonight, and some yogurt for dessert. Really enjoying yogurt, by the way. I love that it's packaged in 100 - 130 calorie servings - that's really good. And it's sweet, and dessert-y, and it's good for the digestive area, especially during colonic season.

The biggest thing to combat as I get the portion size under control... Alcohol consumption. I've got to get sparkling seltzers into the house. that stuff rocks, and I can drink that when others drink wine. Haven't had any beer in a long time, which is good. However, I know those wine calories REALLY add up.
