February 22

It's Wednesday, day of Colonic #3. I think this will be my last one for a while. However, I am amazed and thankful at the difference I've felt over the course of the three colonic weeks. I am now pooping after I eat something. Every time.

Last night I went to the gym, ran almost 3 miles, biked 4 miles, then lifted weights. I am proud. It was a great workout.

At home, I juiced. It was great to get back into juice, and i had a lot of greens, with some sweetness to balance it;

baby spinach
collard green leaf
dandelion greens
1 lemon
1 green pepper
3 stalks celery
1 apple
1 tomato

It was darn good. It also chilled me out (literally, it was pretty cold). But when I get home from the gym, I go straight to the kitchen, usually. I made my juice and sat down. Not only did it take me a long time to drink, it cooled the desires welling up in me. Of course, I had a little of the fiance's preparation - some noodles, organic beef and broccoli, but I had a pretty controlled portion, and was not hungry afterwards.

This morning I had a cup of coffee, a yogurt at 10 AM, went to the gym and did 20 minutes on the treadmill (walking uphill at 4.3 mph) and 5 minutes of abs. Lunch - a wholegrain wrap with pesto & spinach & mushrooms from the coop, and a 70 cal yogurt smoothie.

After lunch - at 2:30, I had a yogurt and a few bites of a piece of pizza, threw most of it away. I sure wish they didn't order pizza like every damn day at work, but it's OK. Usually I get a salad, but I decided last week that whenever they order and I try to scale back my order to "JUST" a salad or something, I just feel deprived.

I'd rather pay for my lunch and get it at the co-op, where I find foods that nourish me. That wrap was awesome. I don't feel full, well maybe a little bit, but it's fine. What I do feel from getting my blood flowing at lunch, is I feel like my insides are heated and active. It's a nice feeling.

Going back to the gym this afternoon for more, before the trip to the colonic place, which is a good 1.5 hour drive. Which is why this is my last one for a while. It's just too far to drive.

So the reduced intake diet has been good since yesterday afternoon. It seems like there's a pattern of 2:30 - 3:30 is danger time at work, time where if I'm not too busy, I tend to wander around looking for snackies. I think that's the time of day where I want a break, and food seems to be the natural break. Well, lets see what the plan is for the rest of the day?

Juice for dinner. A spoonful of peanut butter if totally necessary. I'm enjoying eating a lot of yogurt throughout the day. It's yummy lite pro-biotic yogurt from Breyers, and it's the cake flavored stuff (Key Lime Pie!)

That's my favorite. Well, next Thursday is the monthly weigh in. We'll see if we have to get drastic, or whether I've lost any weight at all. I can tell I'm tightening up from working out, but if the weight's not coming off, I'm going to have to go back to juice fasting for as much of March as I can after 3/8. I've been really inspired by some of hte great blogs going on about juice fasting around here.
