Hi out there!

I think I overreacted a little yesterday - I was exceedingly upset starting at 7AM and didn't chill out till I was relaxing on the couch at 8PM, watching Red Sox Yankees spring training (GO SOX). That's 13 hours of brain squeezing unsettling unhappiness. Wow. I was upset enough about the thought of my fiance sabotaging my efforts that he got the message very clearly.

I don't think anything like that will happen again. It wasn't conscious before, but I really put my foot down.

Now - progress. It really helps me to write here every day, no matter if it's not the most exciting thing, if I'm not like fasting for like 100 days straight or rubbing urine in my hair ('member that guy - what an interesting blog that was!) So yesterday food:

Yogurt (100 cal)
small salad with many kinds of greens, tofu and seeds from the coop
eaten slowly, with a glass of soy milk

a chocolate covered pecan caramel concoction from the co-op at about 2 PM (I've got my period and each month I allow myself ONE forray into chocolate)
a little more soy milk

baked tofu with stirfried tomatoes, red & green peppers, onions & garlic & carrots, which I made. 2 medium sized servings

2 glasses of white wine

Workout:
27 minutes on the bike (322 calories)
20 minutes on the elliptical trainer (233 calories)
20 minutes weights - doing multiple sets of reps, fast, all over muscle groups
25 minutes in the sauna

Very intense workout. I was fried when I got home. My sauna week unlimited is over, and that's fine. It's hard to make myself stay in there. I'm excited to not have to push so much in the time from 5-6:20, so I have time to get in the sauna. Now I can work a little more slowly and work out with weights and calisthenics all the way till 7 PM.

It's official. I'm a freakin' gym rat. Every day on my way to work I think, man, if I can just get to the gym. Things will be great.

so I'm firming up, that much I can tell. I'm not weighing back in till April (maybe 3/31). I'm going to see what healthy eating but not skimpy eating and hard workouts does. I'm not good at fasting. I think I'd rather work hard in the gym. I am considering seeing how far I can get with healthy eating, then in May maybe doing a few weeks of water fasting every other day or something. Long fasts of more than 4 days just stress me out, and I don't need that.

I go back and forth between thinking I'm slimming at a good rate, and thinking, but NO! I don't just want to look acceptible, I want to look DYNAMITE at the wedding. Long, slow, steady progress for now. If I need to jumpstart in May, fasting every other day may be an option.
