To all those lovely people out there... by annaconda .....

meandering through the blogs, some thoughts.

This is such a great community. Everyone here really strives for something better for themselves. I think many aspects of that struggle can end up getting us down, rather than lifting us to what we aspire to.

When I first joined this community, I learned so much about fasting, about health, detoxing, and clean living. It's truly changed my life. I've found the tools to drastically improve my diet and exercise, and the kind of support that helps me be compassionate towards myself.

However, I found myself bouncing in and out of semi-obsessive behavior, setting unrealistic goals, guilting myself to death over every slip and misstep.

Have compassion in your heart. Love yourself, no matter what you do, whether it matches the outlines of your plans or not. Eating raw is amazing - juice fasting is amazing - exercising is amazing. But if doing it is leading you to an insular and compulsive cycle, drop it. Drop it immediately. Get outside, breathe, and enjoy the summer that envelopes us as we speak.

The great thing about these blogs is nobody's perfect (well we all know there are some people who seem to be born fasters). But it's great for me to see that deradune slips in and out of raw sometimes. It's great for me to see ren going through the wedding rollercoaster a month ahead of me. It's great for me to see MOG doing those crazy punchies and fasting on OJ for like the rest of the year lol.

Keep your heads up, get outside and take a walk, keep the power flowing to you through life, not just through the computer. I'm sending out strength to anyone who needs it, because I've found so much strength here.

Just my way of returning the favor.
