30 Day Juice Fast Journey -- Day Thirteen by Dazzle .....

If the second half of this 30 day fast goes as smoothly as the last thirteen days, it sure will make getting to the end so much easier.

Today I went produce shopping as planned and blew a hole in my wallet.  Then I came home and it seemed I spent the entire day preparing the produce, for both juicing and brothing.  I washed everything and chopped veggies like carrots and celery and stored them in plastic bins.  Then I chopped veggies and fruit for broth and let them burble all day.  The house smelled almost like Thanksgiving, sans turkey.  Then I strained the broths and then let them sit for a while so the sediment would settle, then I poured them into pourable plastic containers and stored them in the fridge.  All I have to do is just pour them into a mug and heat them up.  Fast and convenient.

I bought a huge bag of kale to use in both the broths and juices.  Kale is a powerful cruciferous veggie that whacks the hell out of various cancers.  It aids the liver in detoxing the body and cleaning the blood.  The sulfur is terrific for skin, hair and nails.  And it boasts 135.00 mg calcium per nearly 4 ounces of juice.  And the juice is relatively sweet.  Juices up great with apples, carrots, celery.

My husband ordered a 160 gig hard drive for me and it should be here sometime the beginning of this coming week.  Now if I can get him to install it and put all my stuff back in between his patients at the lab I'll be in working order.  He hasn't had a chance to look over my dead drive yet to see if he can retrieve anything or not.  But that's supposed to be on the agenda for tomorrow.

Today is Day 13 of this 30 day juice fast, which means I have seventeen more days to go.  If the second half of this fast goes as smoothly as the last thirteen days, it sure will make getting to the end so much easier.  I don't know about any of you, but it seems to me, when I get closer to the end of something the time seems to slow way down and it seems to take much longer to get to the finish line.

I'm headed over to the RAW blogs to glean some recipes to consider for when I come off the fast.  I was thinking of trying a few of them out on my husband.  Fortunately for me, he makes a great guinea pig and he's not a meat and potatos man, so it's easy for me to get him to try new things.  He's the only male in his family, his age, with hair.  The rest of his male relatives were bald in their early 30s.  My husband is in his early 40s.  I tell him, his hair is a result of being my guinea pig.

May your dreams be sweet!
