Day 25 and what I've learned.

Well, I can't believe it's been twenty five days since I started this fast. It has gone by quickly. Had a bad detox at the beginning but have been doing very well since.

I did get sick a few days ago (cold) which is new because I've never been sick during a fast. I think it may be part of a detox cycle, as this morning I awoke with a headache (usual sign of toxic build-up for me). Two enemas helped make it better, not completely gone, but better. This cold is also not as bad as I know it would have been. My kidlets got pretty sick. :( They're better now though. :)

I wanted to write a list of a few things I've learned (or relearned) since fasting:

1. Life does not revolve around food.
2. I thought I consumned food, but really food was consumning me.
3. I have a STRONG desire to eat healthy again. Suddenly all those "bad" foods don't look as appealing as before. I think I'd take a sprout, tomato, turkey sandwich over a slice of pizza, anyday. :)
4. My entire family eats better when I eat better.
5. My focus is changing as my body is becoming healthier.
6. I am signing up for a marathon, for the first time in my life. Yes, it's a 26 mile marathon! And I'm really excited about it!
7. I'm realizing just how much this junky food I put in my body effects me, and frankly it's not worth it anymore. A healthy woman is a happy woman is a happy family.
