Day 52, fasting and prayer...

Well, not too much to report. The last few days I've had a sore throat. I believe my daughter has a cold that I've caught in a mild way. I feel just fine, but the throat thing is a little annoying. Ah well....

I don't really desire juice much, but I keep up my regular 3 juices a day anyway. I noticed this during my last longterm fast. Towards the end I was drinking mostly water. Nothing changed as far as my energy or sleeping, just that I didn't desire juice much.

I'm still losing weight, but it has slowed down a lot. About a pound, every two days. Sometimes, I'll have days where I lose a pound each day.

My husband says I'm a better cook when I fast and I'd have to agree. ;-} I'm trying all kinds of new recipes, mainly ones that include lots of veggies. I was raised in a family that rarely ate veggies and fruit, so I've had to rewire my whole idea of family eating, since becoming a wife and mother. Thankfully, I have an extended family who eats wonderfully and knows much on real nutrition. I've learned a lot from them.

On a more personal note:

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the direction of our family. We have felt called to the ministry for a long time and even attended Bible College. We left the ministry when our daughter was born because we were concerned about things, that honestly we should have just let God work through.

We have a dream of sorts, to start a ministry ranch. We've decided to take steps in that direction. I hope this is something God is leading us to do. I'll be really focusing on this issue as I continue to fast, as well as issues my friends and family are dealing with. If you have anything you'd like me to pray about, please let me know.
