Day 7 - Verge of giving up... by vegandanzer .....

Day 7-want to give up, but I will stick

Date:   2/19/2006 5:43:55 PM ( 18 y ago)

Am late blogging today. Well, I set my alarm for 4:30 am today so I could get up early to SWF before I worked out this morning. Well, I stepped on the scale and I gained a pound!!! I know, I know, do not look at the scale...I am soooooo irritated at myself. I know it is my fault, but I feel the need to give up, not give up entirely, I will just eat and eat only raw.

Ok, I will blame myself b/c I guess I did cheat b/c yesterday I did have broth...but I usually do, but I did not have any of the usual broth mix I use so I went and used my miso paste. I did not use the 2 tsp. that is used to make a serving, I used maybe a 3/4 of a teaspoon. *F*! I am sure that is what did it because, yes, I am fully aware of soy being the most mucus producing food on earth.

Another thing, I have not pooped on my own since Wednesday!!!! I know, I really should do an enema, but I have been holding off b/c MC says it is not necessary. Well, the tea does not help and neither does the SWF. Why friggin' bother at this time! Sorry for being so whiney (as usual), but I just need to vent!

Well, I did a step class and a power class, so hopefully that will tip the scales in my direction.

I made my own veggie broth today with onions, carrots, celery and ginger and a few spices, no salt added. Think I went crazy on the cayenne, bit spicy, but that will warm me up! Is has been unbearingly cold in Chicago. Of course, I pick the coldest week of the winter to cleanse! Ergo, the need for broth. Of course, someone tells me it is ok, so I run with it! Perhaps the other mistake.

Anyway, was at the store looking for my powdered broth, but found one in container, not organic, but something good with no added yeast. It is "natural vegetable cooking stock", by Kitchen basics. It is all vegan, less sodium and fat free (that's not that important to me. It only has 330 mg of sodium per serving (4 per pkg), the ingredients are: Stock from onion, celery, carrots, mushroom, red pepper, natural flavor from corn, tomato paste and sea salt. It contains no glutens, soy, nuts, MSG, HVP(?),milk, eggs, dairy or fish. Just thought I would share, it is a good 'fast food' if you need it...I will probably bring it to work, but do a 1:1 and add extra water to bring the sodium content down. I love adding spirulina flakes (sans fasting) to my soups along with some sesame and/or flax seeds for fun.

I will stick with the MC, but gotta surf the forums again to find out about my constifrigginpation!!!!!

Blessings and Love -
