It could be tomorrow or a hundred years... but I am here because a little baby tells me I am her best friend under the sea...forever... I am here because I have important work helping blinded souls to see without eyes...I am here because I still believe that one or two people can truly make a difference...but I have empathy and I hear the cries of the children of the world... I have a greater sense of unbelievable cruelty towards food animals.... I also sense the world's soul is aching... It feels like the earth is pregnant with the tears of its little ones to the point of bursting...

Who am I to extend the length of time for the earth's travailing by praying for it even one more day.... but I know that I will not tilt it toward its end either... I feel for the mother of the 19 year old boy whose son died in Iraq...and his young wife...their child... another baby born into the world without a father... and it reminds me that I am a father...many times...and a grandfather...and then we have these moments of comfort...calm... peace... holding in our arms our children and our children's children...looking into their eyes hoping but not praying for another dawn...
