Plans change...

It has been long week--I have one more final to finish tomorrow. I think I have made a major decision--I've always wanted to be a veterinarian. I started working with a clinic last fall--I noticed that the vet was always there & never ever has time for family--ever! I don't want that at all--I want family time--to see our kids grow up & actually live. I respect those who choose this profession--I have been offered a vet tech job this summer. I'm gonna complete my bachelors and probably proceed with a higher degree from the same college I'm going to now--if I went to vet school--first off I have to work my butt off to even get in, then I have to move away from everyone I love for 4yrs., I have to work my butt off in school to get my license, & then not get to see my family once I get back here. My fiancee soon to be husband would suffer & so would our children--I have decided I don't want this. So I'm staying around here finishing out some degrees at the local college & get a good job here. It will save us money in the long run & I think I will be happier-alot of stress has left my mind since making this decision--I'm just concerned that people are going to blame my fiancee for me changing my mind--& he is not to blame--I made the decision for myself--but who cares if I did decide a little bit based of him--he is family & special & I just don't think this is what I want anymore. I can just here people talking now. Oh well--they'll get over it.
