The reason some people get worse can arise for several reasons.

If the dentist was not properly trained to correctly remove the Amalgam fillings, then it could add to the toxic load, allowing the mercury to circulate in your blood and eventually end up in organs and tissues.

Secondly, if your body has a heavy toxic load and is not able to eliminate toxins from the body quickly enough, you can get worse.

For people even considering getting these filings removed, I would strongly recommend two books to start with so that you can understand how the body detoxifies so that you can make sure that your body is doing just that:
