I believe you are right when you say there are "Proper channels" to voice concerns against any abuse of the law or civil rights.
But, the fact remains that the FDA is "abusing" their position with regard to laws governing health claims to suit their own corrupt agenda in favour of their paymasters......Big Pharma.
The question remains as to how to deal with this FDA corruption, prejudice and favoritism towards Big Pharma for the justice and fairness of everyone.

I find many times supplements for sale are pitched so unrealistically and over the top. This miracle cure,that miracle pill etc. After a while you head spins as to where you should spend your hard earned money.
Take a little peak at Kevin Trudeau and his multiple miracle claims, Or the Glyconutrient charade, it becomes tiresome after a while.
Turn on your TV, read any major magazine or journal, and leaf through any newspaper. How many times do you see such supplement claims compared to "Ask Your Doctor"?
No one that is a serious and knowledgeable voice in natural health supports the huckster Trudeau.

You say play by the rules, and I say the rules are rigged and it is hard to step in the ring (or "outsmart them") when they require you to tie both hands behind your back and hop on one leg while they have a shield, body armor and a bludgeon.

Laws and regulations are one thing. They are meant to protect us. However what the FDA and Big Pharma are doing to us is nothing less than than raping us of all our rights and freedoms. The FDA and Big Pharma are nothing but the gansters of today getting rich at the price of our health. No, at the price of our very own lives. I am not even going to go into their exploitation of the elderly. I would be here for days.
First of all, herbs and supplements are not "Drugs." They are what nature has given us to heal. Drugs are the synthetic medicines that they force us to take whether we are ill or not.
Our own Declaration of Independence states:
"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is in the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. . ."
Our founding fathers gave us instructions on what to do the day our government became abusive and destructive. We are there now. To simply say that laws are an unnecessary evil and that we must abide by them simply shows me that you have been doing nothing else but listening to the government controlled media and that you have bought their propaganda hook, line, and sinker. It further tells me that you know absolutely nothing about American History and how our founding fathers died so that you may be free.
You are welcome to sit back and take anything that our corrupt government and its unlawful agencies are willing to dish out. You are welcome to be treated by them, take their medications and die a slow death. That is your right.
However, as for me, I will fight for my freedoms. I will fight for the freedoms of the elderly. And by doing so, I am fighting even for your freedoms that you so lightly discard.

I only pointed out that there are certain roads and bridges to cross to if you want to envoke change.
Clearly, this is a hotpoint for everyone, I obviously did not realize how hot.
My naturopath was attacked by the Attorney General
of the state she is in and endured years of legal
harassment and wrangling but she continued to fight
for her right to practice her healing art.
It was the case of a big governmental agency going
against a small business and practice and they thought
they would break her but did not count on all the people
who had been healed and who supported the work of this
doctor who rallied and stood behind her until the
Attorney General finally negotiated a way out of the
mess. She was no longer able to use her title in that
state and many explanations of the benefits of herbs
and supplements had to go missing, but in the end, it
was felt to be a victory since she is still there
and people are still coming to her for healing and
treatment and herbs.
In the current political climate where big corporations
have lobbied to protect their interests, it is not
easy to change the laws, but it is easy to speak up
and share your experience relative to the efficacy of
a treatment. As more people persist in fighting against
the people who seek to undermine the wholistic approach
to treatment and healing of disease, we will continue
to find victories, but it will take courage and the
raising of awareness of these issues. People cannot fight
for a choice if they do not realize they have one...
My intent and prayer do side with the dismantling of
the FDA and other efforts which limit our choice to
choose for ourselves how we want to maintain our
health and treat our lack of it.
I know first hand what it's like to fight the system. I worked pro se for more than a year on a case, up against a crooked judge and lawyer, who were both out to get me. As it turned out, I had to turn them in to the Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel, just to get another judge on the case. It was a really hard year, but in the end I was victorious and because I challenged the system and won big changes happened and lots of people got reasigned, and one got fired!!!
I never gave up; I worked night and day. I busted my but trying to understand the laws, file motions, research...
My own idea is to rally all of the Health-freedom Organisations into ONE very organized Alliance and proceed from there.
We just need a leader or two to show us the way........
