I suffer from severe carpal tunnel that I got as an IT guy for five years.
the pain was so bad especially in my right hand, or when i use the mouse a lot like for Photoshop, well after doing all the test EMG, mri's, the conclusion was, I do have carpal tunnel and surgery was advised.
I heard the surgery was dangerous and a lot of people had complications afterwards.
is this true? or is this a myth, and I should not be scared?
I heard there was new techniques out there to relieve the pressure in the carpal tunnel. I'm scared to have surgery, because I play the guitar once in awhile, and I don't wanna lose the ability to never to be able to play again. but I guess if I don't have the surgery. All my nerves will die in my hand anyways.
has anyone had the surgery? and if so, do they feel much better, my carpal tunnel went away when I stopped using the computer. And came back when I started to use a computer thinking that it was gone.
I'm setting up an appointment to have the surgery, and i'm nervous that I'll never be able to use my hands ever again, after I get out of the surgery.
Forget the surgery. You can buy a soft cast that you wear on your wrist that prevents you from bending , or twisting the wrist.
In addition you can use a device like this one that utilizes Infrared technology That supplies heat deep into the tissues, and ligaments. This promotes blood to that area for healing.
If you read (research) the blog that anne h. wrote for a psychic (James Cottrell) - well in one of his newsletters he talks about carpal tunnel and how to relieve pain by putting weight on the hands..... preferably your own body weight as in the Yoga asana called the crow. This has helped me considerably, tho i must admit the pain comes and goes but then i don´t do the exercises as diligently as i should i guess;.)
Good luck and if it was me, i´d cancell the surgery date.....
hmm, where can i read that log at, u havea link? i'll try to look that up.
yeah, i did notice when i was working out with weights, that i didn't have any flair ups.
So, what am i'm supposed to do, curezone got me doing all this crazy stuff, now i'm going to stand on my head hahaha. i'm going to try seem, like there could be something there. thanks
"do you know anybody who was healed from carpal tunnel syndrome using this thingmajig?"
No, but when I had my root canals taken out, the dental surgeon talked about a similar device that he claimed kept diabetics from having there limbs amputated because of the infections they would get.
He made me use it to keep the lymph gland under the jaw moving to clear the toxins from the surgery. While I had it, I would use it on ligament problems in the knee, and wrist and it worked.
The only difference I can see is this one is a wand, and his infrared lights were on a cloth like material that would bend to the contour of the body where it was used.
Here's some gloves. I don't know anything about them, but they are Infrared. http://tinyurl.com/2lf42y
have you heard of this product called the carpal solution?
I can't seem to find any recent, comments about this product, only dating back to 2005. but it seems pretty interesting. And I was wondering if anyone is heard of it?
Sorry I don't know anything about them. It just came up in a search for infrared, and carpel tunnel syndrome.
I do know the wand I suggested is made by a reputable company. I know it's more money, but you will have it a long time, and can be used for other problems as well.
"the carpal solution" is not infrared technology, it's different from the gloves and the in the other device.
by the way I bought the gloves and they arrived, I have been wearing them ever since.
apparently they have infrared, which they call far infrared that is embedded in to the fibers of the gloves somehow. I think it's a strange concept, but we'll see if it helps.
when I get more money saved up, I will buy that other thing. thanks
You can use a wrist pad with your keyboard. A wrist pad is a support that rests under your wrists, runs the length of your keyboard and takes the stress off your wrists by leveling them to the level of the keyboard. To avoid carpal tunnel syndrome you must try the carpal tunnel treatment exercises.
