Yeah, I know this isn't directly related to MMS, but I have a couple requests for keeping people updated on my status after I visited a very well known and highly recommended Chinese herbalist yesterday.
I went to see him in this little shack in Flushing, NY, and like I said, he must be very well known (one of the patients had just flown in from Chicago to see him).
When he finally got to me, he told me all of my symptoms just from reading my pulse, I was shocked. My symptoms- coating on tongue contributing to bad breath, very poor circulation in hands and feet, strong underarm/foot odor, dry itchy flaky skin. The one thing he did say which I do NOT have is a tingling feeling in the back of my head or pain on my heels. Does anyone else have this?
He told me that this is caused by a fundamentally weak stomach, and that I am not eating food properly. His solution - I have to take these "pills" every day. I scanned them in and uploaded them so everyone can check out the ingredients in case you're curious. These can be bought probably anywhere in a Chinatown or possibly on the internet.
A: RELAXX PLUS EXTRACT (CONCENTRATED)
B1: ANGELICAE LONGONA EXTRACT (CONCENTRATED)
B2: SIX FLAVOR REHMANNI (CONCENTRATED)
I won't bore you with the regimen - if anyone wants to know how much of each to take and when, let me know.
He gave me some other general guidelines that may also help you guys as well. First - he was right again..I eat way too fast. He lectured me on the importance of mechanical digestion in the mouth to aid the stomach. He also told me to avoid cold liquid at all cost - make sure its room temperature (I think this relates to the concept of the Yin and Yang balance). And finally, I need to stay away from fried food. Other than that though, I'm fine.
He told me I have to be patient with this process, it should take around 3 months to get me back in shape. I wasn't happy about this considering how impatient and rushed I am in the first place (my stupid attempt at jumping to 15x 2 MMS and the fact that I eat so damn quickly), but I'm really going to be patient this time and see what happens. He said everything is going to be ok.
Sorry again for the long post. As for me, I'm most likely just going to hang in the background for the time being in the MMS forum. I'll continue to read of course and post if I feel necessary, but I will update everyone once I feel any relief from my symptoms. If this regimen doesn't end up working out, back to MMS I go, but for now, I'll stick with a natural solution. Hope everyone's having a good holiday. Take care
That sounds great. Yes eating too fast is a common problem. I tried to chew my food 20x and it felt for ever. It was a good test, because I think I used to swallow before I chewed. Of course I am not perfect.
Yes stay around it is positive to have a "family" that is involved in alternative ways, because it is pretty lonesome to try to talk to people in your daily life.
When you post here you can put O/T in front of the subject title. This means off topic. In this way when people only want to read about MMS they can skip your post.
Sure,
He's on 87-05 Grand Ave in Elmhurst. His name is Dr. Chao - I hope you're fluent in Mandarin Chinese though, he speaks very little English - my friend who is from Taiwan had to translate for me the whole time. I THINK he has some type of interpreter, but I can't be 100% sure. My friend also brought him a cake to appease him since he doesn't see many "foreigners" like myself, and she didn't know how he would take to me (I was really nervous). Do you live in the city? I can get some more info for you about him if you'd like, I'm seeing my friend tomorrow.
P.S. From now on I'll do the O/T post.
Thanks guys
thanks! yeah i live in the city. i'm wondering how much the consultation and medicine had cost? i plan on sticking to mms for a while though just because i'm curious. what frustrates me the most is that chinese herbalists tend to advocate a diet with warm foods, while it seems other health gurus advocate a diet with plenty of raw foods... which are generally chilled or not warm.
Well if you're in the city that's great. The consult is free, which is nice (do NOT tip him for his service, he will be offended); he will charge you for herbs if you end up getting prescribed some. You will need to buy a special type of ceramic bowl to cook the herbs etc, but they'll explain all that to you.
When my friend got herbs from him, it cost $120 (he gives them in increments of $60), and she is doing better.
Luckily, the "solution" to my problems were those packaged extracts that I showed you guys, which are pretty damn cheap, so I feel fortunate. My friend says he does have a translator. What are your symptoms?
Well, that's good news!
My friend says that gastrointestinal issues are his specialty.
I got some more info on the translator - like I said, he definitely DOES have one, but if he's not there, you're going to be out of luck. Good luck and merry xmas
thanks! no worries i can understand A LITTLE mandarin as long as its not too complicated. if anything i'll just call somebody up to translate...please update on your progress once in a while! and i was wondering what problem did your friend see the herbalist for? also i have a hormone imbalance. been told by several doctors that my testosterone levels are to high for a female.
Thanks for the update. You can buy these three Chinese herbal supplements online or in some Chinese grocery or herbal stores. I google'd them, and confirmed they are available on some websites. The picture you included in your post has ingredients of the three supplements, but it does not have the names of the supplements. Can you please also post an image of the other side of the three boxes with names of the three supplements? Even if they are in Chinese language, it is ok. In case someone wants to get the same exact supplements, he/she can take the picture w/ names to a Chinese store to buy them.
