My 25 year old son just started to getting acne and it kinda blows me away
that it would start having problems at such a late date in his life? have you
ever heard of this? Its not too bad so far but Im just trying to get some feed
back from folks and find a good acne treatment.
I found this acne site on the web
(link removed by moderator)
and it has some information on it but was looking for more sites... any suggestions?
Hi,
People can get/have skin problems at any age. It is more common then you think for people out of their teenage years to get acne. It can be caused by many things, in fact if you read some of the pages on this forum you will see different people talking about different causes/solutions for their skin issues. It could be diet related, hormonal, mite related, a problem with an elimination system etc. In my case when I cleared up an infection in my lymph system my acne got a lot better. Read some of the "R" posts located on this forum and give us a little more background on your son.
Wish there was a consensus regarding acne's cause, but even the dr's can't cure, just try to manage it.
So we try to find the cause ourselves... my opinion is that candida/yeast is the cause, which is made worse by sugar( yeah, just like they told us for years...but for a reason "they" didn't know about yet) and carbs. I'd google "candida" for more info and/or read my previous posts if you think this is a possibility for your son...what does his diet consist of (sugar, carbs and junk food? Candida loves them)? Has he taken antibiotics? They leave the body VERY vulnerable to candida/yeast and yet antibiotics are the often the first prescription dr's hand out for acne, making it a vicious cycle. I took them for acne and blood poisoning.
And of course, testosterone is running wild in a man's early 20's. Acne...it's not just for teenagers anymore! Good luck.
My acne began at 19..I believe a demodex mite infestation coupled with a severely poisoned body(drugs, pharm drugs, alcohol, stress, hard life, flouride poisoning) and a weakened immune system, on top of getting my hormones messed up from the BC pill set the whole thing off.
Im your sons age now and still fighting this battle. Im just begining to figure out whats going on here..still along way to go.
I think reading up about liver flushing is a good way to start. Even with topical treatments like anti-mite cream (what Im doing) or anti biotics, a good working, clean liver is essential to supporting the health of the body. So liver/bowl/parasite cleansing, and lots of it. Good diet too.
I did a search or google and came up with the following for acne treatment.
Check them . Hope there is something useful for you. http://curezone.com/dis/1.asp?C0=23
Would he have Candida Overgrowth by chance...or a very Acidic body...those are 2 things I would check first...get pH strips and test urine and saliva...does he have any other symptoms besides acne???
There are lots of good things for acne, and should be used all together for great results. Drinking Green Tea, plain, without anything added, hot or iced. Coconut Oil, internally, 1-3 tb. per day. External treatments are Olive Oil and Coconut based soaps, French Green Clay , Green Tea Powder, Allantoin (from the Comfrey plant), tea tree oil, honey (raw, unfiltered, darker the better) as a face mask/face wash, shea butter, black currant oil, camomile, fennel seed and lavender...these are healers.
