okay on the topic of smoking...I am a smoker by the way...so i dont need any criticisms as to how i should stop smoking, and how its bad, etc. I am aware it is dumb, and yes it is pointless. BUT, how bad is it really? Is it responsible for all the deaths that it is claimed to be? Is it truly the number 1 killer? I am curious to hear some ideas on this because I have read very opposing viewpoints on this matter.
One of the biggest medical concerns should be that nicotine constricts the blood vessels. If one reads the writings of Christopher & Schulze, circulation is paramount to good health, hence the addition of cayenne in most of their formulas. A yr or 2 ago, a Phillips Morris web page had a thermal picture scan of a smoker & a non-smoker. The non-smoker had more heat around the organs. Therefore nicotine affects ALL body organs in a negative way.
I am the oldest (early 60’s) in an adult ed class, but 2 smokers in their mid 50’s look a lot older than I. One smoker said the addiction was stronger than the warning on the package. Apparently that is very true. A former workmate decided to buy an advertised quit smoking product that had some lobelia + colon cleanse. His bad breath & nasty far ts disappeared… until he went back on tobacco. What I can not figure out is why do women quit smoking for months while pregnant, and then revert to tobacco afterwards!!! When in EDTA therapy, one guy came in twice a month (at $85 ea) to reverse effects of smoking (contains heavy metals) yet be able to continue the habit. Does that make sense???
However on a positive note, those who use tobacco help to reduce the tax monies the state would otherwise come to me for and secondly, may extend the SS funds for when I retire.
Lobelia is said to be a help to stop craving of tobacco. I have personally noticed that when I juice or eat lots of fruit, craving for junk food go away.
The choice is yours to make. But in my lifetime I have never seen someone improve their health with tobacco or a drug, have you?
My regular MD yrs ago said to me "For pete's sake, DON'T QUIT SMOKING, my wife can spend your money as good as you can." I walked out of that office and didn't smoke another cigarette for 5 yrs.
