Has anyone tried to correlate tooth/teeth pain to pH levels?
I had ordered some OSUMEX test strips to track my body while I was performing various cleanses. Before my first Liver Flush, I had started OPing. On the day I started my Liver Flush the pain in one of my teeth where I had a filling was excruciating. It subsided later that day, but I couldn't figure it out.
I've also been parasite cleansing using Black Walnut Green Hulls, Wormwood, and Cloves.
Prior to my 2nd Liver Flush last week I started using the test strips. My pH was 6, not great, but close enough for horseshoes, hand grenades, and atom bombs. The day I started the 2nd Flush, the pH dropped down to 5. I also noticed my teeth were sensitive to hot/cold. The thought crossed my mind that I hadn't OPed that day.
My teeth have been sensitive all week. Not bad, but I still need to be careful. I did the test strip this morning, and my pH is still at 5. I'm doing things to make myself "sweeter", but that is a different topic. plzchuckle on The Liver Flush forum mentioned that detoxing parasites can make ones body more acidic. Extrapolating this out, one might say that during an illness ones body would be more acidic also. As the body fights and kills the root causes of the illness, the dead "carcasses" start to decay that form toxin that ultimately reduces the alkalinity of the body.
The OSUMEX test strips are a little on the pricing side, so I'm only using them on a weekly basis. Has anyone else noticed this phenomena, or tried to measure it?
That's fascinating. I wonder if my recent teeth sensitivity was related to pH. Although, that is a whole area I have never even stepped into. Are you a participant on the Moreless forum? He is the pH guy, right? Tis your choice, and so forth. I get him and Barefoot confused.
I wonder if the Epsom Salts on Day One of the LF might have made your teeth/fillings sensitive/hurt? Maybe the magnesium reacts with the metal in the filling? The only way I can manage to get any ES in me is to laboriously fill capsules up and then swallow ten or so of them (which is extremely unsettling and somewhat gaggifying as the crystals rattle around and it calls to mind swallowing insects...some atavistic reflex really does set in). But swallowing the ES in capsule form may prevent, say, my fillings from hurting.
I think as soon as I can I am going to take a trip to Florida and get that dentist Dr. Behm to remove my Amalgam fillings. (He's the one from Squarecurls's post yesterday.) saveyourteeth.com.
I'm sure you've tried this, but I use fresh squeezed grapefruit. The formula says 3/4 cups per dose, but I add until it tastes good (1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cups per dose). Actually, if I could figure out a way to stop the semi-involuntary BM's, I wouldn't mind having it every morning. But that's me.... everything tastes just like chicken.
The pain started that morning when I was eating raw fruits & veggies, and drinking a lot of water with heavy doses of ACV and Cayenne. After I ate the potato, the pain died down. The two days leading up had been colons cleanse heavy ACV & Cayenne in water, and light foods. I didn't start taking the ES until about 4 hours after the pain stopped.
To be perfectly honest the Colon Cleanses and in particular Liver Flushes really place a drain on the body. I'm going to wait until my body comes back in synch with itself before I do another LF. I get great benefits, but right now the down side effects are exceeding the benefits. I can understand those with serious biliary problems doing the two-week regimen, but I'm not having those problems.
Maybe that is the approach to healing one's self. The Pain Threshold Theory. When the pain experienced exceeds the benefits, it is time to rest and re-evaluate. Plateau Procedure, Pulsing.....
Personally, I think there is something else going on. I'm feeling strongly that the tooth pain was pH related, but had too many things going on at the same time to isolate it. I'm going to order a bunch of the pH sticks, and start testing everyday. I'm also looking for a blood pressure gauge, but I don't think it's possible to take your own blood pressure. I can't even feel my own pulse. So I'll track some basic vital statistics, and see if there are any correlation's that could be followed up with further study.
I'm thinking about hitting the Veterans Administration up for my fillings. I did a lot of work under water pressure (diving) that has an affect upon some divers. They had replaced my fillings with something that was not sensitive to pressure changes. Either they are good fillings, or they are pure mercury I don't know. They did have to make sure they were tight and sealed over the cavities. The slightest bit of leakage could have a detrimental effect on divers at greater depths 120+ feet. I'm not sure when you started getting your barometric headaches, but I'm sort of thinking it might be related to your fillings and/or leakage around them. It will be interesting to see if they stop after they are "fixed". Something else you might try as an experiment. If a weather front is moving in, try soaking your ears to dissolve the deposits in the ear canals. Since I started OPing I've had to clean/soak my ears everyday with hydrogen peroxide to clean them out. My sinuses have cleared up also, but I get a lot of solids out my nose. So I'm thinking I have some very bad fillings and the die off is making its way through my ears and nose. If that is the case, I'm probably real lucky I don't have an abscessed brain. But then again, maybe I do.... just not that much difference between my natural state of mind, and the crazy state of mind.
the cause of heat / cold sensitivity is typically due to exposed dentin tubules, the cause depending on age / diet but in general low pH in the mouth can be corrosive to teeth, particularly due to phosphoric acid present in sodas. When I had pain, I remembered that IP6 dissolves at low pH, so I would put some powdered IP6 in my mouth on the pain spots. The acidity present in the local areas dissolves it, and I theorize calcium, mag, phos are deposited on the exposed tubules and closes them up, since my pain always went away when doing this.
Considering that IP6 occurs naturally in many foods that most people no longer eat, and that the IP6 is typically removed during food processing, coupled with Dr. Price's observation of the teeth's ability to repair themselves in persons on native diets, suggests to me the IP6 is a natural toot restorative. At least my observations in my self are consistent with this theory.
That sounds consistent then. You applied the IP6 in a localized area. Do you know what your entire body's pH level might have been?
Maybe put another way, does an acidic body contribute to a localized pain (Tooth/Teeth). I assume it would. On the other hand, does a specific acidic part of the body imply the entire body is acidic? Maybe yes, possibly no???
