Thats interesting Jana, cause I'm an A type and I love my meat. To be honest (and I know this is going to upset a lot of people), but I don't even like vegetables. I LOVE fruit. I eat salad. But cooked, even steam vegies are gross.
A key thing to understand with respect to diet is the selective pressures which shaped our human physiology over the last 2.6 million years. ALL of us, regardless of our ethnic backgrounds, ideol ... Sorry, we had to truncate this message! ... Click here to read it
Hi EM,
I enjoyed your 'discourse' on nutrition there, as a long time researcher in the field. Do you have a particular source for the core of what you say? ie; the paleolithic diet type books, or Weston Price, or even the raw food eaters--mostly I refer to the meat part of that. I am leaning in this direction but also wonder about the biochemical individuality that others have written of; right now Joseph Mercola has written much of Metabolic 'Type', wherein one person to the next might want more or less of protein, carbs, or fat. I think this is based on the genetics of people given where all of their ancestors came from, and that that may have created variations, even in the relatively short time historically, in dietary need and digestibility profiles.
Even so, I would be interested in any primary sources you might wish to pass on so I can refer to them. I wish to really give 'er this year, and do what my body needs for rejuvenation et al, and I have so much info floating around with much of it still contradictory. That's Ok to a point, but it would be nice to settle on an overall workable program. I suspect carbs and gluten may well be long term probs for me, but I am not sure about cooked meat either, in eating a lot of, perhaps due to what fire guy said about the acids that can build up. Neither has juicing been a great health adjunct as far as I can tell. Neither am I sure about coconut oil, olive oil, and just a whole bunch of herbal and vit-min supplement solutions any more. Except for a few like magnesium, clay, iodine, good fat and protein from somewhere etc.
It's getting to the point,as it has before, of practically not knowing what to put in my mouth. Even water is fraught with choice. It probably should be something other than tap--even purified--or bottled water to really be energizing and hydrating.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
This really is not the place for you to be "on this soapbox". There are HUGE differences of philosophy and research on this issue ... I believe the less cooking the better with regards to plants and veggies, and the less meat and dairy the better. I have very reputable sources that support what I believe, as I am sure that you do.
However, this is not a debate that should ensue here in the MMS Support Forum. It would be better if we could recognize that there are valid and large differences with regards to this discussion, and not post opinions as absolute fact.
Using phrases such as "In my opinion" or "I believe" will help to clarify fact versus philosophy.
Hi Sanctuary, The cravings are probably the pathogens controling your chemistry. This has happened to me as well. May I suggest you find a non fatty, non sugar, snack. I love eating raw coconut chips (anti yeast)and pumpkin seeds raw hormonal support. The Sugar cravings should go away soon as you kill off enough yeast and fungus. I am forcing myself to drink more water. It isn't easy for me but instead of sipping I just pour it down in gulps. It is getting easier. Best wishes MW
I know what you mean about the cravings, I have the same exact issue and have tried high protein, low to no carb, supplements, exercise, hypnosis everything works for a few weeks then the candida monster just takes over, How long have you been on MMS? One of the reasons I decided to use it is to help with the cravings and wonder how long before it helps.
That makes sense to me Marlene. I didn't have a problem with cravings until a couple of weeks ago. I have had in the past, but I had them under control. Maybe the MMS is releasing something that has caused them to resurface.
I have been doing MMS since Christmas. Took two doses again yesterday, still no diarrhea. Felt slightly nauseous upon rising, but didn't last but a few minutes. I am going to go take another dose now. I am still going to keep increasing until I meet the diarrhea barrier. I know it sounds masochistic, but still feel like I need a good purge.
That is very likely true ... I would cut back on MMS, not increase it. And, at the same time increase your water intake if you are not already doing a liter per day per 40lbs.
I was doing 15 drops once a day. The last couple of days I have increased, and yesterday did 10 drops twice. Also did 10 drops this morning, with no adverse affect as yet. If I still feel OK tonight, will take another 10 drops.
My water intake had been really good, around 3 litres per day, but has dropped off a bit lately. Mostly with a busy stressful situation at home. But since I think that has been resolved now, I will focus on increasing the water intake again. Also I have 4-5 drops of unactivated in my water, and since my water intake has dropped off, even though my activated drops have increased, I might be doing around the same amount of MMS as before.
Ah huh!!! That might explain why I still can't produce any diarrhea.
I know that seems like a weird goal to have, but I just want to see how much it would take for me to get there. It seems like everyone has had diarrhea except me, and I'm feeling kind of left out :(
