Hi, my sister and her partner, Paul, are now taking the B&P shakes. This is Paul's experience:
He's been taking B&P for about 2 weeks now. He was doing PTree's ideal poos (and proudly showing my sister!!) so he decided to increase to 2 doses a day. On Boxing Day, he did what he describes as an "oily fart" and went to the toilet.
First, a whole lot of "cheesy, yellowy, pussie, mucousy" stuff came out and then he "pooed and pooed and pooed". He filled the toilet bowl twice (flushed once in between). It was ordinary poo (darkish brown) though some was "sloppy" (sorry about the graphic description).
Afterwards, he felt cold and clammy and shaky. He said it wasn't a very pleasant experience, that it felt very toxic. It has scared him and he has gone back to one dose a day. I guess the bowel cleanse can also be an emotional release (old pent up emotions), hence why it has scared him?
Is this just toxic stuff coming out? Could it have partly been all the Christmas food? Should he stay on 2 doses?
Anyone else with this experience? I'd like to give him some support and encouragement but I don't feel confident enough to say it's nothing to worry about, it's just toxic stuff that's better out than in.
(I will be away from the 1st of Jan but will look for this message and any feedback when I return). Thanks for any support in advance. ~ Fil
Sounds pretty toxic to me...and also sounds like he had a cleansing reaction from releasing all that yucky stuff! Christmas indulgences could have also contributed. Emotions can be released during any cleanse. The cold, clammy shakey feeling can happen during a colonic, too...usually when the cecum (first part of the colon) is releasing. It generally passes as soon as the material has been expelled. Given how much he eliminated this may be what happened. If the feeling persisted he should drink lots of water and replace electrolytes that may have been lost too quickly.
He should go back to 2 doses...but only if he feels comfortable to do this. Some people throw off toxins so rapidly that it overwhelms their body and need to proceed more slowly. When he does increase the doses he should probably do it when there aren't so many tasty temptations around so that he can better determine if the reaction is to the cleansing or to something he's eaten.
