Agree she is gorgeous all right, but most likely soon, to be Beautiful.
Disagree on the 3 years thing, the Iodine Geeks have only been waiting about 9 months to hear this report, but then again we only recently found out how deficient in iodine 99% of the world is, and soooo very many benefits to soooo may body systems from it.
This young lady deserves the CZ Perseverence Award or something like that, for the time she spent learning , searching, etc. In the end she is on the road to betterment, but the world also gains one smart young lady, plus all the others who are watching in awe at the miracles provided by returning the body to a status of Iodohomeostasis.
Wow. Just Wow. I thought you were going to be some 13yrold boy until I scrolled down and saw your latest pic. lol. That's awesome.
I never come in this forum..someone linked to it in the Ask Curezone... But I just started taking Iodine..I almost always seem to have a few zits somewhere. I have a bunch of them now because I'm fasting..I'm interested in seeing if they go away.:)
There was a time when every single meal I ever ate made my stomach swell like I was 9 months pregnant. After being on Iodine for a year and a half (and being gluten free for 4 years before that) I ate gluten a time or two this past year, and it didn't bother me in the least.
Will I ever consume it constantly again? No way...no way in he__.
But it's nice to know that there IS something to the tremendous healing power of a nutrient that I've been denied for the better part of my 51 years.
Thank you, thats sooooo good to hear.
We humans tend to view time so impatiently. I mean I've really not been gluten free very long and on Iodine only shortly longer than that, so I have to remember healing takes time. Just because I still have the horrific reaction to tiny amounts right now doesn't mean it's going to last forever. I will not give up on iodine, I plan on staying on the 100mgs a day up until whenever I leave to travel and then doing a maintenence dose of maybe 25-50mgs a day after that. It should last me awhile. Thanks!
i no longer believe in gluten intolerance and i owe it all to iodine. i ate a half loaf of french bread with my daughter yesterday with no ill effects. a couple of years ago i would have been doubled over in pain and bloated like a toad. it was a test, of course, and i dont plan on eating that way regularly, but if i want to, i can. Iodine has made all the difference, much more than avoidance for three years before ever did.
" Iodine didnt make my zits go away.. being gluten free did."
The iodine people seem to think that your acne was cured by iodine and are alluding to the remission of your acne as an iodine success story.
To be completely fair, we don't know what effect, if any, iodine actually had on your skin condition. You continued to break out while you were taking iodine and the breakouts only stopped when you stopped eating gluten. I have to admit, there isn't a strong causal relationship between the remission of your acne and the use of iodine. So, I'm not sure why everyone tends to be crediting iodine with your cure.
Needless to say, I'm overjoyed with your success!!
Hopefully I'll discover the source of my problems some day (although my skin condition is completely different).
"The Iodine people seem to think that your acne was cured by iodine and are alluding to the remission of your acne as an iodine success story."
Show me a post where one of the "iodine people" says that iodine will CURE acne.
Trysten was warned that it would make it WORSE, as it did, for a time. It's part of the bromide detox.
And, being gluten-intolerant, iodine supplementation probably made her acne a lot worse than someone that is NOT gluten-intolerant. TEMPORARILY.
No, the "iodine people" do NOT think that iodine "cured" Trysten's acne. The "iodine people" think that Trysten has the guts to stay the course and figure out how to heal herself. Iodine, and especially, this FORUM, has played a part in that.
She looks lovely on 50mg per day, if I do say so myself! :)
I never said that anyone on here made the blanket statement that Iodine would cure acne. It is clear though, that the credit for the remission of trysten's symptoms are being attributed to iodine, when she said herself that it was being gluten free that actually got rid of the zits.
Back up the statement? OK
"In your case, you pressed on until the point was reached where your skin finally became sufficiently sufficient in iodine, to function normally."
Her now "normally functioning" skin is credited to becoming "sufficiently sufficient in iodine."
"In the end she is on the road to betterment, but the world also gains one smart young lady, plus all the others who are watching in awe at the miracles provided by returning the body to a status of Iodohomeostasis."
Sounds like this clear skin is being credited to iodine "iodohomeostasis"? I am wrong?
There you go, sufficiently backed up.
"Just wow. You could be the poster girl for iodine."
She posted this message in VWT, NOT acne, and NOT "healed".
She obviously has gotten something of value from Iodine supplementation, and our forum.
end of story.
iodine-zits don't last forever, it's part of the de-tox. And there is no definite time-frame when one will be through with the zits. The detox can come in waves. And if one RE-toxes, with bromide of some sort, one can expect that that bromide will come right back out through the skin.
Happened to me, with commercially-grown strawberries.
people have gotten all sorts of acne with Iodine supplementation, not just small red bumps. Early on in supplementing, I got some very deep, painful zits.
I think that you're putting the cart before the horse, worrying about scarring now. First you need to get healthy. Yeah, I know that you know that, I've read your posts, and I don't have answers for you.
Then worry about the scars.
