    my goodness, thank you all collectively for being here, not that any of you would know it. ive been browsing here for some time, bounced around a lot of things in my head and done a lot of reading, arrived at many conclusions, but to keep it simple lets just say i try to eat mostly wild or local food and keep myself moving. i would never have believed i could have had parasites, i had to sign up and tell everyone here that this is truly a good place and a haven for those who wish to take hold of their health and happiness. what i have passed this past week or so has been both horrifying and liberating, there is surely more to go.

    in short i remember my confusion and desperation when i finally accepted i had parasites. i had no idea what products to get or whether it was all nonsense and if i was losing my mind. it is a lonely place to be, and since i make no distinction between myself and you, i want to help people by sharing my story, verrry quickly cos i have to be somewhere:P but i had to do this, but be warned, this is only what worked for me, i had been very weak from course after course of drugs from birth and all my life and junk food diet!

    you must listen to yourself above all and honor natural practices and good health but here is what ive eaten, nothing more nothing less in the past 6 weeks or so, SOME of it [a few weeks ago] was not optimal and was just weakness and desperation from detox, but here it is unbiased and bare, that somehow some ingredients are purging me beyond ALL BELIEF

    herbs

    living thyme, parsley [ate this like a mad rabbit for about a week, straaange craving] basil,
    dried oregano turmeric cayenne and black pepper, also a little bit of cumin, ohh and shedloads of dried cinammon

    liquorice sticks from chinese supermarket

    lots of fresh and dried organic ginger [cut back on this cos i havent been shopping for it in ages but its good in home made teas! really warmed my stomach from too much cold/ yin tropical fruit and helped calmed my massively distended belly, which keeps going and returning with BMs but really scared me. i hope some can take comfort from this pain i felt and be strong and not fall off the healing wagon/diet!]

    IDEAS
    put cinammon liberally on ripe bananas, somehow its amazing for me!
    make your own herbal teas, i often use licquorice with mine for its harmonizing effect on other ingredients[long story hard to explain but it works]
    with roots and herbs and alsorts, literally i became my own chinese medicine doctor goji berries and everything steeped in hot water, all in balance.
    ESPECIALLY CLOVES
    god i craved these so much.

    i am no expert though and im unfortunately in a rush so forgive this disjointed message people..



    anyway onto seeds and nuts, these deserve a category of their own because of the shocking results ive had
    sunflower seeds [nice to snack on but go easy, you want to keep your bowels moving and if you go crazy on seeds or nuts that arent sprouted or are a little toxic in big doses like almonds, you will probably feel the bloating much much more as your body tries to eliminate parasites
    pumpkin seeds [ i had horrifyingly effective results from drying them straight from the pumpkin as opposed to buying them seperately]
    sesame seeds [been overeating them lately, they seem to purge me a bit but also block me up.. i ate them like a mad man with honey and wheat free tamari soy sauce.. dont ask.]
    linseeds [a new addition, REALLY helped keep things moving, have a tbsp. then follow straight after with 2 cups of liquid, they say water but i like home made teas instead]

    you MUST MUST MUST if you are going 100 raw as i did on and off but mostly above 95%, you must keep warm if you are in a cold climate. the bloating was criminally worse for me i found, i NEEDED those teas between meals and i NEEDED my good old snug but slightly effeminate nightgown and socks in bed!

    it is worse for me tho cos im so thin, maybe you can do totally raw and be okay without warming things, please note i am very well read on TCM and went for warming foods that were still raw where possible, like grapes over bananas, etc etc, altho i did not abandon bananas, i just made sure to have them little and now and then, or if in excess only on sunny days or when my belly was warmed by tea!:D

    as for fruits, i mostly rely on reduced items to afford them, so i go shopping a lot and basically my meals started to depend on whatever i could get, so i unintentionlly followed a rotation diet, which was probably A GOOD IDEA

    in the last 6 weeks i had ROUGHLY

    6 fairtrade pineapples [found normal ones too sweet and irritate my mouth, and organic are picked too early and unripe ewww] go easy on this cooling fruit, i mean eat it like crazy but not every day, i would go through a whole one in one sitting if my stomach was able to handle its cooling nature, please listen to your body but this is a special fruit

    1 papaya [wasnt crazy on it, first time i tried it, i had been doing well tho and didnt wanna push my luck with the seeds, too many new foods is no good you must find a rythm and introduce new things slowly, because you will probably get sicker before you get well on a raw diet, do not lose heart i know it is so easy to believe you are acting like a mad person and that you need cooked food, and i do not say cooked is bad, merely i always overate when i was offered cooked food, like i couldnt get enough, and sometimes felt even more clogged and acidy and worse after it. i DO have the occasional cooked sweet potato and even offended recently on some rice and rice cakes. i find i can handle brown rice well if i make it BUT rice cakes always make the side of my nose hurt and give me breathing difficulties for sure.]

    15 bananas, i always let them get very ripe, they jst dont appeal to me green.. see what works for you

    many many ENGLISH apples, i think it is important not to go crazy on SUPERSWEET varieties from far away lands, i found they made me feel grubby and crave sweet things but english epsecially WILD english apples warmed me and made me content. stick to your own climate for the bulk of your fruits, but still enjoy the beautiful exotic ones

    3 coconuts [go easy, chew well. i say always eat it with somethin else, its too heavy if your belly is swelled i think, you dont wanna get full on ONLY coconut.. plus i was forever hungry till recently cuz of parasites grr]

    few italian pears [they were small so i could eat many as snacks and not feel guilty. in tcm these transform phlegm, very important if you have been overdoing tropical stuff or dairy, IF you buy into tcm which i do and dont, long story.

    lemon slices with salads and such
    i craved these like a madman but cannot afford them at organic price, i still want more tho might go get some tomorrow

    grapes
    tried to eat half a box a day, a couple of times a week
    i ALWAYS wanted seeded even tho the seeds were bitter i loved it
    i think the tannins in them has been ESSENTIAL
    maybe the suc***s in my gut think theyre getting a TREAT
    with the grapes, then they dont brace themselves and BOOM
    HELLO TANNINS AND PAAAAINN [sorry that was close to sadistic.. im a BUDDHIST/TAOIST!]

    i always got organic simply cos i cant be bothered to wash them, even tho i should and i dont ENTIRELY trust all organic sources but hey any port in a storm kids!
    they are on offer in tesco for 1.74 right now go grab some if ur in the uk PLEASE
    i believe these were essentiall

    oh and i had quite a few walnuts too, shelled by myself, i found that pre shelled ones made me feel clogged and sticky and greasy and gummy and god knows what else, plus they seemed less powerful and were more bitter which isnt a good thing if theyre so bitter u wanna be sick!


    there is loaaaads more, but i forget..
    i had a lot of salads with GOOD quality olive oil [be careful what you buy]
    and occasionaly "offended" with some "is it or isnt it raw?" sprouted bread
    i even on a very bad detox day had some organic sourdough with a shedload of oil and goats cheese, it was like a drug, but in a good way but go easy on the ol' self medicatin kids!

    i had occasional green tea DECAFFED BY MYSELF [find out how, im late already!:D]
    and when i could force myself did some jeet kune do stuff and qigong, dont take yourself too seriously or worry what ppl think, you dance away like a crane- its good for ya!:D

    other than that i occasionally felt like i was gonna die and needed fat, had quite a number of raw organic eggs, dont judge any reaction you have to them your bowels will flush out crazily anyway every now and then cos of the big turnaround in your life and diet, keep your mood up too! btw i had the eggs sometimes mixed with unpasteurised honey and a little cinammon

    for those in UK who cant seek out raw honey, or even honey they can trust, well it should be solid at room temp! i got lied to by a local organic farm and had tubloads of pasteurised for months by the bucketload! BUMMER!
    anyway for those in the uk as i was saying, you can get it from MORRISONS its from new zealand but as i say ANY PORT IN A STORM
    go easy on it, as soon as i have it on its own i want more more more more more
    i think im on the clover one now, its so nice, eat it with other things tho like as a homemade salad dressing with lemon juice and oil or ACV you know?

    i had to limit dried fruit but still like my raisins, sun dried of course
    watch out for those kinda fruits you can go mental on such as those big dates you get in the supermarket they are very concentrated foods and did me a mischief!
    i also relied on the occasional miso soups to pull me through the day, wheat free you can get them in sachets in sainsburies they are non gmo by a company called sanchi and have seaweed in, but forgetthem just buy some seaweed avoid health stores try sainsburies or foreign supermarkets but research what yur buying if you can!

    god there was so much more i know it!
    oh yeah, i relied on sel marin unrefined Sea Salt now and then to curb sugar cravings and ate quite a bit of sainsburies organic BABY leaf spinach, also some days i eat barely anything, and for these days i NEED tea just so i can busy my mind preparing something!
    watch comedy too, im not gonna demonize TV today!
    try frasier if youre a thinker, everybody loves ray if your family can be annoying and you wanna look on the bright side, or friends if you wanna feel cosy!

    other than that i did binge on parmesan cheese [its the only one i even have a half decent chance of digesting without getting all mucousy but its SO CONCENTRATED and full off opiods which make you feel drugged and ultimately i believe worse, so i dont recommend it]
    plus i had raw sheeps cheese which tasted good initially then i had a baaad reaction, never had it before rememmber what i said about introducing too much new stuff when you are not 100% it is important you let go of pride and admit when you need a rest and when you are not superhuman!

    i also got sun dried olives from a bar in leeds market, theyr bitter but in the best way for me.

    i hope i helped someone, somehow, and again my apologies for the length and disjointedness.
    if anyone has any questions i will answer them tomorrow and from then on so long as people care and want my advice. no matter what you are told or who surrounds you in your life, know that we are all connected and you are not alone. anyone needing support will find themselves a welcome guest right here, and if nothing else i clarified mentally the last few months crazy events!

    on a final note, i found i believed i was going to die several times when i had no choice but to eat all raw for the first time in my life [on holiday etc] it passed and i got better and better, but i think you should have that sweet potato with butter or that bit of rice if your tummy is crying, i really do. remember we have been cooking for a long time, even if it isnt optimal we can handle it, and its better surely than something youd get from KFC or whatever. please listen to your inner voice, dont follow the wants of your ego and your mind or believe youve gone crazy or super deficient in something. you can do this. i am not pushing the raw view on anyone, just that its something i kinda fell into and its been the catalyst in my purging

        a pleasure fledgling, i had been meaning to get on this site for a while, it was a real help to read similar stories and symptoms and pull through, and will continue to be no doubt. there seem to be many people here who truly care about themselves and have made the connection to caring about others too, through that same unconditional love.

        i meant to add also, before i retire to bed, i also had a dodgy craving for semi raw rice lately, i wanted to try sprouting some, and kinda nibbled on it when it wasnt very much sprouted for a few days, it was probably a stupid idea, that i dont recommend but i wanted to document everything cos i cant isolate any one thing that has brought about such a violent cleansing and visible results..

        also i would go out walking whenever i could and eat just one or two wild rosehips or a handful of blackberries, i did not worry much what might be on them but be warned some contain like a little maggot thing.. again maybe not the best idea, just occasional strange cravings i had. also i remembered how this purging as it were, all began. i was on holiday this year in portugal and had become pretty strict with my diet.. there was nothing but fruit that was worth eating there.. and i was getting like i NEEDED something filling in me.. bizarrely a little supermarket had organic pumpkin seeds, a big bag, and i ate like 500g in a few days with raisins from home. i got quite "sick" and thought i had overdone it. only later did i read they were so effective in sorting out parasites, i had had no idea. i think they are so important, and am tempted to say my bout of toilet troubles that followed was actually some mass die off or cleansing.

      Thanks for the info. You said living thyme, etc. I wish I could find that, I can't find any fresh herbs here except basil. I've heard about pumpkin seeds but the raw ones I tried once made me ill, maybe because I had parasites and it was purging me like you said. I thought they were spoiled, especially since they were green looking. Are they supposed to be green? And I don't see finding a live pumpkin anywhere. You have to have the raw pumpkin seeds not roasted right, I love the roasted ones but I heard they have to be raw. I've never seen raw sunflower seeds.

      So you cut out all meats huh? For the past couple weeks since I begin I have basically only been eating broccoli and chicken. And no parasites have passed since prior to my new diet when I was fist using DE along with the zapper. That's when I saw them and begin to feel them. Still feel them but haven't seen any since then. I'm taking some Chinese herbs and other things no. Waiting on my humaworm and meds, I'll try them next but I'm looking for the most effective diet too.

      Are you competely free of them now? How long did it take you?

        ohhh no my friend. not free by a long shot, just woke this morning to see some wierd "hide" if thats the word.. some wierd hide of what was probably tapeworm. did you ever watch alien 3? where the guy finds some skin and then sees the alien and falls into the fan or whatever.. it looked like that skin! verry horrifying sorry for the details, but it is by no means over!

        i have noticed that as time goes on and i purge more and more, that the number of small white worms i see lessens massively and now i see what i believe are flukes, plus yesterday a long but very thin black worm.. my belly was swelled for a longgg time, but now it goes down instantly after BMs so i guess maybe im lessening the amount of parasites by a good deal, or at least finding a RYTHM which my body can handle, and this is what you must do, i feel.

        first up, do not judge ANYTHING as good or bad, as sickness or wellness. the times ive felt most near death have been preludes to major releasing of some shocking things from my body. this does not mean make yourself ill, but if your body is weak or you have lots of parasites, maybe you must expect this on some level friend.

        use your own judgement and pick and choose from other peoples experience, keep refining your program, and have trust in the way.

        sorry to talk excessively, i will answer your points. green is okay, the best test is to try to SPROUT them. if you see little shoots [i believe they are white but its been so long since i ate pumpkin sprouts:D] you know theyre raw "enough". basically when you dry them and pull them from the pumpkin you usually dont bring off a second coating to the seed which is green. but sometimes it happens. you may see an ivory colored seed but many green ones. these are okay, unless maybe irradiated. but dont quote me on this. all i would say is take as raw as you can over anything cooked. the less messed with the better!

        are you in uk? healthfood stores, or even supermarkets are full of seeds at verrry cheap price, such as 50p for some organic ones maybe a little higher depending where you go, ive food nearly all of these sprout if they are organic, so they are "raw enough" for sure! i dont think the sunflower seeds are a very important addition though based on how ive been with them. take em or leave em, dont overload your system night and day with seeds too early on. i find they slow down the flow of BMs and for me i HAD to keep things moving with the linseeds and warm liquids just to stop what was surely the "die off" reaction, where i believe all toxins are released in your system. again your own judgement is needed here..

        dont sweat about being perfect buddy, i havent even located wormwood or black walnuts and im definately cleansing to the edges of what my body can handle. by this i mean take raw pumpkin seeds over those from the actual pumpkin if you cant find one [i got mine in a little organic store in yorkshire], and good quality dried herbs over living ones if locating those is a problem too [if you are in the uk, again i got mine from asda they are on offer fr around 80p, organic too, beautiful]. surely some compounds or qualities in there will still have an effect. i also put dried organic oregano from sainsburies all over my salads, cravings! then later read this is good herb for killing parasites!

        i do not want to impose on you too much but i believe that raw fruits are not a problem, perhaps even necessary. you need the quick release energy. they are so easy to digest that the worms probably get verrry little from it. only when you have slow transit time and when you mix fruit with slow digesting food does it ferment and maybe then worms have party on it. try a few days on just warm liquids and fruits, but heres the thing, and i believe its my own concept so take it with a pinch of salt:P...

        always take something that a parasite would like with a little of what it wouldnt, my logic being they wont move around your body [if indeed they can] or try to hide maybe? a ridiculous concept perhaps.. but if you eat lot of high carb fruit, then an apple, but have the SEEDS TOO, they are happy then boom, hello cyanide!
        you follow my logic? or take seeded grapes over non seeded.. perhaps in this way it is even more superior to fasting which i was personally too physically weak to accomplish.. they do not hide away they are on CONSTANT RED ALERT through your intelligent food choices.

        i hope this was enough, perhaps even too much!:P
        remember this is your story, we all share here what has worked for us, and in time you will be like me sharing a terrifying success. i would ditch the limited diet, but again do not want to preach on you. once the cleansing gets kickstarted with whatever the key catalyst may be for your body, i would keep it moving rather than put chicken in there.. but just a thought and again listen to your body. take our experiences, try them, take it easy, rome was not built so quickly eh! from this you will find YOUR rythm. this is hard work, but you are saving yourself from pain in later days. be strong!

          Thanks for your excellent response. I’m going to take your advice and try to cut out the chicken. I’m in the U.S. and in this part (NJ), I rarely see a lot of fresh herbs besides basil. There are health food stores but I haven’t noticed much there either. They mostly have pills and concoctions with a little section of regular produce if that, a lot don’t have any. But I’ve seen pumpkin seeds and I will try them again. I’m a little confused about whether to eat fruit, I hear many say no sweets at all but what you say about eating something they like along with poisonous things makes sense. I’ve really been running out of things to eat, I just want to get rid of these things so I’m willing to try to change to diet to whatever way necessary to make that happen. I also tend to be constipated a lot and I’ve tried remedies with minimal results. What do you think about nuts and natural health bars. I like this heath bar that has dried figs and pecans in it, do you think that’s okay? I heard you shouldn’t have any dried fruits or nuts.

            there is soooo much conflicting information about fruit eating, when you have candida or parasites. all i know is it has been at least 50 percent of my diet for many months and i am cleansing to the limit my body can handle! dried fruits are gonna stick around longer and so probably will feed nasties better than something that is probably half digested from your saliva by the time it reaches your stomach- like a ripe banana!

            i know that i was so very torn on the fruit thing, i did give it up for a day or so here and there but found i needed it.
            anyway onto your other points, fresh basil is something i just bought today! just got back from the supermarket. it gives any salad a great lift, for me. living or very fresh basil is gonna have a lot of goodness in it and will surely help your body detox though i wont pretend to know the specifics of what is in it..
            dont be too scared what to eat though my friend. for me i took a lot of advice with a pinch of salt. i wondered, how can there be all this food around my home that is growing in the wild, how can it be bad for me if it is so local and fresh? i eat wild food a lot. it started some pretty violent cleansings for me, especially local wild blackberries that are in season right now. i thought at first, again they had made me sick. but that comes back to the judging thing. sometimes you are sick, but getting ultimately better. sometimes you feel better, but may be getting sicker. its like yin and yang. good contains a bit of bad, bad a bit of good, so its important to trust in natural things and natural ways.

            for me, this meant making a point to go walking places, getting good air and such. lakes, reservoirs, even local woods. of course, not everyone wants to go stand in some woods.. the ego will always pull you towards other things. but i started reading up on wild plants and edible wild things, and noticed so much all around my home to eat! it was so bizarre, and gave me a point to get out there. also the woods are half way to the supermarket for me so i always passed them, sometimes just grabbing the occasional berry, such as elderberries, or even a rosehip or two.. and on a good day maybe a wild pear! delicious!

            again, there are people who say we can pick up yet more nasties from such unwashed things. i did not ever let this stop me, and maybe im wrong, i cant pretend i know. but all the benefits of this oxygen rich, just picked food grown in good soil, and certainly not sprayed or modified, full of the energy of the sun and rain and soil, was for me a price worth paying. this does not mean always force yourself each day to eat sour berries til you spew, just use your own judgement, even a small handful every fortnight has been enough for me to keep cleaning out. and its probably best to alternate such powerful things on and off.

            find out what grows local near you! i am lucky to be surrounded by quite a bit of woods here and there but once you start looking, berries are everywhere. i even took a new route to my local asda store today and passed a house with a pear tree in the front! needless to say i kind of tresspassed.. hehe

            theres no need to demonise your chicken either, unless you feel you can do without it and still get by. for me i did it like this- if youre needing something heavy on your stomach, have all your tea/ warm water or fruits beforehand. this way they will pass through and you get all the benefits and keep things moving along, then give it about 30 mins, which youl surely be ableto handle, and then eat whatever you want, so long as its not gonna hinder your ability to absorb anything, such as excess dairy which makes me full of phlegm and so probably my stomach is coated in the same thing..

            by having an abundance of liquids/ easy to digest things in your early day or first few meals, you wont feel you have to include them so much while your body still tries to digest something which takes a while, like nuts, or chicken.

            dont starve yourself of fat, for me i needed it. i dropped the amount of nuts i was using though, to just a handful which i took with a few raisins and honey but the amount is purely personal, whatever doesnt make you feel too heavy and blurry.

            fat for me has been coming from large avocados. i poke them in the shop to find soft ones. hard ones are terrible. they are delicious for me, i used to hate them then i tried them a few months ago again and i knew inside they were fantastic and a very good choice. with honey, cucumbers, a few raisins/ olives, and some mixed sprouts, strawberries and lemon slices [and herbs like parsley and basil] they certainly put down my original belief that raw food can be boring or dull!

            the problem for me with things like dried dates and other sticky dried fruit/ bars, was that they made me feel just that- sticky. and like things were stuck, glued up in my guts. perhaps it was merely imagination but when i am weak, my digestion is weak and even when i chewed such things very well, there were problems for me. i think you should find some unshelled nuts. for me this was important. by having to put in some effort [i dont own a nutcracker:P] to get each nut, i was less likely to binge and forget how much id put in me. also shelled ones have mold on them and are usually boiled or cooked no matter what the packaging says. i rely also on a few almonds which i put in warm water for a while then peel the skins off. this way they are easier to digest, but actually the parasites supposedly hate the skins [which contain tannins] the most. you must strike a balance between not hurting yourself too much with your food choices and hurting them enough.

            theres an old saying, all things are poisons, its only the dose that makes it poisonous or not. the tannins in nuts can be hard on some people, as well as whatever else nature put in, put parasites are weaker than us for sure, and theyre gonna feel it. i know how it feels to want something filling and turn to those bars. initially i needed them to get by, but gradually phased them out, not by conscious choice it just happened as i got a little more accustomed to my new diet [any change in diet, good OR bad, is gonna have some effect on you while you transition, i feel]. so if you feel you need them to keep yourself functioning, still include them in your diet. as you introduce new things, even if its just one new thing a week, see how you go with that, and maybe leave some lesser things behind.

            i wouldnt recommend going cold turkey onto "super" foods and deciding you are so desperate to be well that you will live off all wild food and leave behind everything your body has gotten used to digesting. all in good time.

            be mindful and have faith in nature
            sometimes reading too much of "fruit is evil"
            and then "fruit is necessary
            and then "only eat meat"
            and then "meat is food for parasites"
            really messes with your program and quality of life, leaving you feeling lost.

            for me, TRUST in mostly local things i can get from NATURE, or at least would have been able to get from nature [for example,there are no carrots near my home yet i can get UK origin carrots at the supermarket so i dont sweat it]
            has been important
            there doesnt have to be a notion of god or mother nature, i just had to believe that what my land was offering was superior and that excess knowledge would leave me actually knowing nothing.
            so i let go of most knowledge, but for what herbs were working for other people, and known anti parasitic foods.
            again, be mindful and listen to yourself.
            i could go crazy on garlic, like i had been, to try to pass what i believe is ANOTHER tapeworm.
            but it definately does not work for me. again, back to the balance between what harms you and and what harms them. it is too potent for me, maybe for another is may be the saviour..

              Thanks Garry, I just love all your great heart felt advice, it’s wonderful! I am admittedly anxious to get rid of these things so I've been wanting to do whatever it takes. I've suffered severely from fatigue, insomnia and concentration problems behind this infection and really want to get back on track. I've gotten a few glimpses of clarity and energy since some of the treatments so I know I'm on the right track by focusing on getting rid of these things. I didn't eat any chicken today as you suggested and had much better BMs so I think I really do want to try not to eat much if any chicken or meat for a while until I at least see them passing and all.

              Sounds like you live in a beautiful place with all the wild fruit and everything. I don't have such direct access to foods growing in the wild in my area but I have lived in the southern regan of the US before and remember the wooded areas with berries and wild plants that I ate at times. Those salads you describe do sound delicious. I had been trying to eat healthy for a while now so I don't think it will be that severe for me. And it’s worth it and when I get tempted now, all I have to do is think about the parasites. That is motivation enought. I'm going to gradually add fruits and the rest of the things you mention back into my diet. Do you plan on only eating raw foods for life? I might try to do that, you really make it sound appealing.

                i believe, if nothing else, in balance.
                and if you buy into scientific studies and what not, there is an emerging theory called hormesis. well its nothing new but new research has validated it.
                its basically concerned with the fact that your body appears to react to certain amounts of things which could be considered "bad" or maybe a drain on your body, and how cells react to such substances. they actually can become stronger and in turn you adapt and become more resilient, etc. its like i said earlier. good usually contains a little bad, and bad a little good. so everything in moderation, rotation, and balance according to you and your needs and environment.

                for example, they say sulforophane [think thats the name] in broccoli activates a certain cell response, like a mild stressor and yet ultimately will lead to you being stronger in some ways. we do need stressors i believe, and the come from many sources. but god knows we get enough from modern living. for some, too much.

                so i think if we were all easy going and had no earthly worries [being buddhist helped me:P] then a mostly raw diet would be right. but for some, especially in colder climates, you may go downhill fast on such a diet, and it would be improper to label it "detox" and hurt yourself even more.

                this is why i go crazy on teas, and always leave refridgerated food that i plan to eat, out overnight.
                anything that you put in your body that is cold, seems to slow everything down, in my experience. digestion, bloating, which leads to bad breathing.. what i guess you could describe as sluggish organs.. and cold hands and feet. i only had these symptoms when i ate mostly refridgerated food and a lot of fruit particularly from foreign lands. with just a slight change and wrapping up well, i am able to continue. TCM says i am yin cold type, and it seems that i am very similar to the characteristics such a label describes. so for TCM, this excess raw is bad news. for my spleen especially. i did early on feel many of the symptoms of what is called "dampness invading spleen" or "yang exhaustion" but kept it up, to keep purging and cleaning house. this was wrong, it was too harsh on my system. it DID pass and with intelligent choices i can keep it up.

                yesterday i ate basically nothing except a big salad at around midday. i just had this feeling i should not eat, its nothing i recommend, you do want to keep things moving if there is a mass die-off of worms and such that happens. today i may break the fast with a sweet potato. so i do have them now and then, i bake them though rather than boil. in TCM this is a more "warming" cooking method. dont label it good or bad or worry yourself. this is something that will be assimilated by your body rather easily i believe. on the otehr end of the spectrum, fast rise breads seem to be like glue, and you will end up absorbing perhaps less of your food and feel mucousy.. if you have to have grains, soak them and then boil your own, or get breads that have been leavened at least a day. they are so much less sticky and easier to digest than modern yeasted bread.


                if it is easy to digest and requires cooking, like a tuber, i would have them no problem. do not worry. the whole enzymes thing in raw food is not concrete. all i truly know in my heart is that living energy is superior in most ways. but everything in balance. 50/50 raw to cooked may be optimal for some. if you become sluggish and ill on totally raw and you know in heart of hearts it is not detox, and is going downhill, and you absorb so little with weak organs now, then how can this be better than 100% cooked?

                also, too much fruit and veg can be a problem, if you believe in hormesis. the antioxidants, while beneficial, are also apparently mild stressors. this does NOT mean they are in any way singularly "bad", your body uses them up so efficiently and they are wonderful and available more than most foods in the wild.

                i think you should keep your body on its toes though, so to speak, with a diet that is not limited. have the chicken maybe, once a week. have some steamed vegetables. live off salads for a few days. stop by a juicing place. snack on fruit and nuts. stay with variety, although remember not too much new things at once.

                i found that when you can rotate foods over a few days and not overdo anything JUST BECAUSE someone told you it had ACTION A [maybe kills parasite] or ACTION B[may prolong your life, etc], then a personal rythm is found and BMs become predictable and regular.

                all in balance, according to you.
                i know i would get pulsating temples and feel foggy if i eat too much potato.
                i took this as VALIDATION it was "poison", as some raw circles describe it, with little to back it up. still scares you though...

                and yet i can eat RAW cheese, and have the same reaction IF i overdo it.
                and the same with just a few sun dried dates.
                on the same level, i may eat MUCH steamed brocolli and cauliflower and NOT have this!
                so where does other peoples knowledge fit with my own??...................

                many people still live in tune with nature, relying not on money or supermarket food. they may have large animal meat maybe once a fortnight or month, and probably bits of smaller animals here and there, but most require on some cooked tubers like yams and potatoes and cooked veg. excellent health is usually standard, unless they have refined grains [many live off wild grains with no problem and great teeth etc] etc. like white rice..


                but do away with knowledge mostly my friend, only for the purposes of certain herbs and foods
                that have given others results, and even then you do not need all of them in great amounts to find your rythm and see results.

                  my apologies for the length of these messages. im such a fast typer that i only see how long i have spoken for once it is posted, and do not get much more than a few minutes on here a day so cannot edit such things.
                  a short message now, i wished to add that i had felt that fogginess, and the occasional bit of clarity you also describe. in time these moments became more lang standing for me, and i feel about 80% now whereas it seems my whole life was about 50% and in more recent years with bad health, was probably much less.

                  learn a little about what works from these forums. internalise it and then do away with the knowledge. the more you learn, the less you know. there is always a new study that conflicts something you had believed, always someone saying that FOOD X actually feeds something as opposed to killing it. with moderation, patience, and listening well, as well as a not restricted diet, you will get all the benefits of whatever works against parasites and still not be starving yourself or limiting yourself to misery

                    Once again you are making a lot of sense. And I really appreciate your taking the time to give me such an honest and helpful point of view. I don't mind at all your explanation of things; I enjoy it because I think you're very insightful. I'm going to try to be more balanced because I do feel a little more tired after not eating any chicken yesterday, not sure if that's the reason for it or not. I will continue to restrict it except on occasion. I ate this salad with basil in it and I heard that lettuce can make you sleepy. It’s more then likely the parasites though. I just started taking something called pine needle oil as well; it’s supposed to be anti-parasitic and able to reach the brain. I got news my humaworm order has been sent so I look forward to trying a round of that.
