does anybody know WHY the eggplant and water solution works? Does it take care of the root problem causing the high bp, or does a person have to keep taking the solution in order for the bp to be regulated?
Buddha, I wish I could help you out on the "whys" it works. Eggplant, as well as potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers are nightshade vegetables. All I know right now is that it is a short term aid for my wife's hypertension. I have a ways to go before I can say it's a long term cure or even effective for a long term. I am continuing to monitor her bp at least 5 times a week... and so far, so good.
It has also been said that the chemicals in eggplant aggravate arthritis. My wife has a touch of it and it hasn't made it any worse.
I have also read that Celery may decrease blood pressure, but I haven't tried that.
I guess you take whatever amount works for you. My wife measures out the liquid in a jigger (1.5 oz). Sometimes she
takes 1, sometimes 2.
It appears that she has leveled out for the time being...
130/86. She's still only on one of the 3 meds she was taking and is now adding 1/2 to 1 kiwi fruit per day to her diet to see if her bp decreases more.
Opus and Mrs.: Was your blood pressure really high with increased cholestral in the mix? Blood pressure runs about 150/84 with two 20 mg tablets per day. When do you add the Kiwi fruit to the eggplant mixture or do you just eat 1/2 to 1 whole kiwi fruit each day hoping to lower bp still more? Pls advise! Thank you. Sata means Be Happy
I posted above under Celery seeds for blood pressure and I decided to juice half of an egg plant to see if it would lower my BP.My blood pressure went from 133/72 to 99/62. Here is the story;
133/72 67 Pulse 11:00 am one shot glass of egg plant juice
116/64 64 12:25 pm
127/69 64 12:45 pm drank another shot glass of juice
113/63 69 12:51 pm ate a sandwich and had a beer
99/62 73 2:50 pm
Notes-- The egg plant juice comes out slightly brown and very thick with some pulp. Doesn't taste bad. A shot glass= 1 1/2 oz. Don't know how long the effect lasts. I diced the other half of the egg plant and put in a bowl with a cup of filtered water. The diced egg plant floats. I covered the bowl with a saucer and I will let it set for two or three days and then drink the water. Let you know the results in the next post.
I would like to ask a couple questions about the eggplant for High blood pressure. I was told you can take a medium eggplant and cut it into small cubes and place in a one gallon glass jar along with Spring water. They said it had to be spring water. let it set for 4 days then take out 1 ounce per day. I have done that and i stopped using my Benecar. It has been over 2 weeks and my blood pressure is around 150/88 but varies as much as 10 points. I have been dealing with Benecar for years. My wife was starting to show a high blood pressure reading and she took the eggplant. In 3 days her pressure normalized.
Has anyone had a similar experience ? I have recently started to take 2 oz in the morning and 2 at night but the results are marginal.
One of the other readers seemed to be saying you can juice an eggplant and get immediate results. I would like more information.
Does anyone know how long you can keep the eggplant water before it spoils?
Does it lose its potency at any time?
Are their any side effects? Benecar and others have definite sexual side effects, does the eggplant water have any side effects?
I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks
Greetings, A friend of mine in Florida has been doing the eggplant in a gallon of water and drinks 4 8oz glasses a day and has lost close to 40lbs in about 3 weeks. She said she doesn't have the cravings for the junk/carbs that she had before, so she obviously eats less, but the eggplant is a natural diuretic as well. I'm going back to exercising/Pilates so I'm anxious to see what my results will be! I've just started today, so I will keep you posted.
I can say this though, it is NOT thick black liquid like someone stated. It looks more like VERY weak tea or ginger ale and doesn't taste bad; it taste like eggplant smells, so it's not bad at all, I drank 2 glasses so far today. Perhaps that person let theirs stand longer, but I let mine sit overnight and just drink it throughout the day. I'll post after 1 week of doing 4 8oz glasses a day. I have never had high blood pressure, so I don't need it for that, BUT I will be checking my blood pressure on a regular basis to make sure it continues to be where it is now. I'm not sure about cholesterol issues either, so I can't comment on that one.
I am curious to know how your trial with the eggplant water is going. I would really like to hear about it. If anyone else has been doing this, please post! Thanks!
A friend on mine from Colombia started using eggplant juice after the doc confirmed her high BP and Cholesterol. She said that many older women in Colombia drink it, that her mom has for years. The change in her numbers were frankly, unbelieveable and occurred over a few daysmaking it even more unbelievable. Her doc confirmed the Ch change. But since I have High ch, and a physical coming up, I'm starting a 30 trial with the blood test at the end. Her recipe was slightly different than the others I've read here: Boil the eggplant with the peel of an orange, maybe 20 - 30 minutes. Discard the pulp. Refrigerate and drink no special amount. I made about a gallon and will drink it over 4 days, then make a new batch. Flavor is fine, looks like green tea. Will let you know what happens.
I just cut my eggplant up today. The directions I got was to cut into cubes, soak it in spring water with tea for 5 days and then drink 1 oz a day until pressure is low and not to over do it. So come Friday I will try it out. Also curius about boiling it with orange peel.
Also tried diatomaceous earth and it did absolutely nothing. Over 2 months and not even a minor change in bp.
Never killed any ants either. Found them sleeping in it and woke them up 4 hours later. Will report back soon.
Took one shot the day before I went to the doc to get a refill on my bp medication. I had heart palpitations as well.
the eggplant had only soaked for 3 days in the spring water and I took one shot. It did make my bp go up at first for a little while so be very careful with this stuff! I did not drink any the next day when I went to the doctor and I was shocked to see my bp had gone down 8 points! it usually was 140/90 even on bp meds. he had given 3 months to see if he was going to up my to 100 mg's instead of 50.
I had checked my bp prior to leaving the house and it was 127/77 when I got to the docs it was 132/80!! WOW was this cool! it pretty much stayed like that since.
I drank another shot when I got home. Next morning it was 124/72!
I did notice I did have slight chest pains and about 5 hours after taking the shot I had a few hot flashes and felt flushed each time. So be very very careful with this stuff as it is potent. Monitor your self! I am not a doctor nor do I claim to be one, so try at your own risk.
needless to say the doc did not up my bp meds.
Funny cause running , eating great and weight lifting for 3 months did not do as much.
I used spring water and green tea with the eggplant.
