How much does it cost to have a Private/Personal Forum on CureZone?
Nothing. It was always free.
Who can request a Private Forum on CureZone?
Any regular CureZone poster who posted at least 15 - 20 messages across existing CureZone forums can request a private forum.
Who will get a private forum on CureZone?
Anyone who has been able to show that he/she has the ability to offer some form of support/knowledge to CureZone visitors.
If, based on the previous messages posted, it is clear that a person has little or no ability to help other people, then that person should not get a private forum.
Beside having the ability to share knowledge and to support people, a person running a private forum should also be able to communicate with people in a moderate, humble and polite manner.
As that person will be the forum moderator, ability to correctly judge, ability to communicate with people nicely, are some of the positive characteristics that will make all the difference in whether the forum will be popular or not.
Can a forum owner promote his/her products, services, website(s)?
Yes, a forum owner can promote his/her products, services or website(s)/blogs.
Depending on person's profession, or his intention to promote some business or offer some services through his forum, the forum may have the next sentence added to the forum title:
"Private Forum: self-promotional messages by the forum owner are allowed"
When a forum is purely informational, with no services or products or websites promoted/offered/marketed and no intention of using it for the purpose of making money, the forum will only have the next words added to the title: "Private Forum"
How can I request a "Personal Forum"?
You can request a Personal Forum by posting a message on the Webmaster Forum, or by contacting the webmaster by email.
You can contact webmaster from this page: http://curezone.com/m/sendmail.asp?id=webmaster
This is what your email should contain:
Forum name in 3 versions:
Very short forum name (3 words max) Short forum name (5 words max) Long forum name (15 words max)
Short forum description (10 words max)
All other forum attributes you can set after. Here is a list of several other forum attributes that you will be able to change once you get forum moderator privileges:
Forum Keywords (6 - 9 keywords or keyphrases, comma separated, to help search engines index your forum correctly) Long Forum Description (max length unlimited). Description can be HTML formatted.
etc.
Once your forum is created, and once you post the first message into your forum, local moderator privileges will be assigned to your username.
Those privileges will allow you to make changes on any forum attribute, including forum names, and forum descriptions.
You can also create a new username that you will use on your forum, if you want to protect your privacy and separate your new Forum Owner role from the messages you posted previously.
You will need one email address in order to create a new username on CureZone.
I think anyone could answer 15-20 posts, but that doesn't make them forum owner material.
I know we have a disclaimer in regard to assuming responsibility for people's health. But, ANYONE who is going to pass out information in regard to someone's health and well being better be serious enough to know what they are doing and have an empathy for people.
All I am saying is that ANYONE can have a forum who posts a little. That leaves it open to everybody and I think it takes away from what Curezone is all about.......which is educating instead of medicating.
All I am saying is a forum should be a very serious responsibility.
From what I am reading, if Charles Manson had access to a computer in prison and he posts a few posts, he could have his own forum.........
I believe if everyone had a copy of Dr. Clark's book (and 90% of the book is published free right here on Curezone) and if everyone studied Dr. Richard Schulze (and asked for a free copy of his catalog 1-800-herbdoc) threw in MH, the MC, juicing, iodine, oil pulling....that pretty much will get you your good health. That's what people come to Curezone for.........
Hi SB,
I can hear where you are coming from.. The idea that there is a lot of "disinformation" floating around not just curezone, but the alternative health field in general. And no one likes to see people led astray. Especially the very sick and desparate...But in terms of the Webmasters policy on private forums. In my humble opinion it is the only way. Either there should be no private forums....or the great Webmaster should let freedom rule and open up the process... and not just turn it into an elite decision. God knows we have had too many of those recently. The cream rises to the top, as they say. I don't think I need to tell you, since you have been here since day one (!), but if you pull up the complete list of Support Forums , you will see oh so many dead ones. That alone speaks more then words can say...
I won't break down the individual private forums, but suffice it to say, among the ten or so that still truly exist, each has its hardcore followers....those who are just about willing to die for it.. And each has a number of respected curezoners who think they are complete rubbish. Such is the turf we battle on these days. I have my own opinions, which work for me...but I will not share them here and I certainly won't say I am right.
Was your reference to Manson somehow related to the new pic they just posted of him?? In case you (or someone else) missed it, the criminal justice system just took a new photo of him to update their records. What a scumbag..Considering you are a Southern Belle...And must have seen the Beverly Hillbillies... Did you know that the actress who played Jane Hathaway's assistant on a number of episodes was actually Sharon Tate? Sharon was in reality a blond, but in the episodes is wearing a black wig. It still gives me shivers when I see her on the show. What a f*cking scumbag. I would pull the switch on him myself if I could...
I love posting videos, and the first one that came to mind before I put up this post was My My, Hey Hey by Neil Young. Unfortunately the record company brass has gotten it deleted from youtube (well you can find some "videos" still there, only they have gotten the audio yanked, so you are listening to silence...or worse). After I pulled one up I found this one in the alternative listings, and realized that my first inclination had been wrong and that, no matter how much I think I know about R&R, I don't know it all. (And on another note - always remember that the origins of R&R started in Mississippi and Bama. All of the great music we know today was seeded in the Great South)..
Yes, you pegged me. I saw Charles Manson's picture on the internet and he was the first person that popped into my head regarding someone having their own forum.
I do agree with you 100% with everything you said on your post.
Over the years, I have encouraged different people on CZ to have their own forums because I knew they would be people I and others would learn from. Not one has let me down and I enjoy learning from them. Myself, I doubt I will ever be knowledgable enough to have my own forum. I do try and share what I have learned with others on differnt posts because I do believe that is what we are to do. I take great pride in knowing that CZ is about 10 years ahead of mainstream medicine. It has been proven time and time again.
We just have to overlook the bad and concentrate on the good that CZ generates and hope that everyone who steps forward wanting their own forum will take it very seriously and know that they are guiding peoples' lives with their advice.
Oh, and trap, I so love my Iodine and oil pulling twice a day.
I believe your concerns are no concern at all.
If a forum isn't valuable, it isn't going to be popular and for the most part it will die.
There are plenty of those on Curezone.
So anyone with something to offer is going to see an active forum.
The concern may be more that people fully capable of having a forum would be the ones believing that they aren't going to be able to do a good job.
People with vision of what is possible tend to believe that they are never doing good enough.
You see that in many great artists.
