(Yes, a fatty dinner just might do something similar, but I am not convinced that the benefits of a fatty dinner can be compared to the benefits of a liver flush.
Many, if not all people who tried liver flush, also "tried" many fatty dinners (many times in their life), usually with not as many health benefits. But there is no doubt that fatty dinner is flushing your liver and your gallbladder, that is what gallbladder is for, for collecting bile and waiting for a large fatty meal. There is no doubt that many gallstones get flushed out that way, and the owner may never know what really happened inside, cause those stones unfortunate enough to be flushed out from gallbladder, just may get lost inside feces.)
How do we know that Gallstones can exit Gallbladder?
( Both sides of LF debate agree that some stones can exit gallbladder! )
Facts:
- gallbladders have been passing smaller gallstones for hundreds of thousands of years
- gallbladders have been passing smaller gallstones together with bile. It is a result of natural selection. Those who's gallbladders were unable to expel gallstones were not as healthy as those who's gallbladders were able to do so. Being able to expel gallstones is an important evolutionary advantage, and can mean the difference between life or death.
Fact:
What people pass during the flush may or may not have existed in that size and shape inside gallbladder or inside bile ducts.
Actually, some of those green formations are formed overnight, from bile expelled during the flush, and will dissolve back to cholesterol acids if left exposed to air and heat. Bile is composed from cholesterol acids, and can be of any color: green, yellow, black, orange, red, brown, tan etc.
Fact: Some of those soft formations created overnight (created inside digestive tract from bile) may actually contain real smaller cholesterol crystals, gallstones, embedded.
Yes, most gallstones are not rock hard, but are instead waxy cholesterol formations.
Cholesterol is a waxy substance. Bile is composed from cholesterol.
Fact: stone may actually exit gallbladder, and may actually cause acute pancreatitis, and if person does not stop eating, or if person does not receive some other treatment, a person may die.
(tradition treatment for pancreatitis is water fasting)
Pancreatitis is a serious risk, but so far, only one out of 800 people reported that problem. Source: Liver Flush Forum
So, there are risks associated with Liver Flush?!
But, are there any risks associated with gallbladder surgery?
Read here:
So, there are risks associated with both procedures.
It is you to make your choice!
Fact: Some gallstones are too large to be flushed out.
Yes, a gallstone can be too large to exit gallbladder.
In that case, liver flush may help eliminate pain and symptoms, but will not help get the stone out.
In that case, liver flush may cause more pain.
In that case, liver flush may be the best or the worst thing to do.
Fact: Some people feel great after the gallbladder surgery.
Fact: Some people feel great after the Liver Flush.
Great post Whiteshark!.. if only you had posted before that 94312 physcho-babble. Take note 94312, this is how you add useful material into a debate\discussion.
Whiteshark, I think my biggest pet peeve is so many of these sites that are selling these flushes pass the 'soap stones' as coming from the liver and gallbladder. They also fail to point out the dangers and facts you presented so well here.
When I first started reading, I didn't know the difference. But after this thread, I know that some small stones may pass through and be ~inside~ the 'soap' stones created from the flush 'potion'. Whether that is a result of a fat overload via natural foods, a flush 'potion', or other reasons is irrelevant to me. Knowing small stones are a possibility, and knowing I can't pass too large of stones helps me to make the right decision.
With each Liver Flush I had more energy, and the joint pains diminished with each flush.
I no longer have Lupus! My sister had Lupus....she no longer has it either!
I eventually passed a stone that was half the size of an egg. So don't tell me the stones are too big to pass.
I could feel the stone moving through my liver/gall bladder with each flush. Finally, after nine liver flushes the actual stone passed and I could see how big it was.
The gall bladder holds bile from the liver and sodium bicarbonate that the body makes to buffer acids. When the sodium bicarb is used up due to high acids in the body, then the body uses calcium from the bones as a back-up to buffer the acids. If a person keeps eating a high-acid diet, the gall bladder does not fully recover from the concentration of cholesterol, which, without the addition of the sodium bicarb, forms into soft 'cholesterol' stones. Sodium bicarb keeps the gallbladder alkaline. If the GB is acid, the acid GB bile dumps into the common bile duct and mixes with alkaline liver bile and pancreatic juice, entering the duodenum in an acid state rather than alkaliine state. This adds to the acid level of the liquified food from the stomach instead of neutralizing it. The unprotected duodenum can then be burned by the acid chyme.. This acid bile burn in the duodenum masquerades as an ulcer and adds to the discomfort of indigestion and heartburn.
The Liver Flush is so helpful in flushing out the concentrated bile stones but the best bet for health is to not make them in the first place by eating a more alkaline diet. The body is 80% alkaline, 20% acid. Yet we eat 80% acid foods and 20% alkaline foods. Diet should be more fruits and vegetables, less protein and carbs.
The next best thing to melt liver/gall stones is the Ion Detox Footbath which I have also done many times and especially when I felt my gall bladder acting up. The Ion Detox footbaths eliminated my need to do the liver flush. Another thing. Whenever the liver/gallbladder is involved there is always yeast/fungus involved which adds to the weakening of the knees, although this may not be felt for many years.
Also, the emotions involved with the liver/GB are anger and resentment. For any illness there is always an emotional response.
I would suspect you were misdiagnosed. I am a doctor of alternative and western/modern medicine. Passing a stone of that size has never been heard of in my 18 years of research. If it were a true stone, it wouldn't of been able to even lodge itself to become stuck. Sounds to me this stone was simply the same exact digested.
Furthermore, there is no such things as stones passing through the liver. True Gallstones can be formed in the billiary tracts that resides in the liver, which work their way into the gallbladder.
Pardon me if I am misunderstanding your post.
I really like this post. I would like to know if you cannot tolerate Magnesium Sulphate can I use Magnesium Chloride?
I read on Cure Zone that it's best to do parasite and kidney cleanse before you do the liver cleanse. What is the best parasite and kidney cleanse?
I'm desperate. I suffer from mold toxicity, rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune disorders, due to the mold toxicity. I'm working on those issues, but after researching I realized that I will definately need to do those cleanse to achieve optimal health.
First of all. Gallstones that arn't calcified are only made up of cholestrol and fats. So when exposed to air an heat, they will melt. Nothing new here.
I have no idea why that person posted that video.
"The reason why liver stones are fats and cholesterol and only fats and cholesterol is because the other compounds are water-soluble, not fat-soluble. Water and fats don't mix. You can't have something that only mixes with water inside a fat glob."
-Shelley D
Read this for more information about gallstones and their solubility.
Another point:
"Fact: Some gallstones are too large to be flushed out.
Yes, a gallstone can be too large to exit gallbladder."
This is exactly why you must dissolve stones as much as possible before flushing. Dissolve using malic acid, Gold coin grass, and Lecithin so that stones can exit the bile ducts easily.
So this is the Science that proves that human digestion of oil results in a bunch of lumps? Brilliant.
Somebody please describe this new digestive process. Here I was thinking that the oil is broken down into its fatty acids for digestion, and all the time it was turning to lumps in my gut.
And what about people who have had the stones analyzed in a lab and have found them to be cholesterol, not olive oil? Anybody really care about answering that since you've concluded that the die can't lie?
Who can say that die would not penetrate a soft cholesterol stone anyway? I have no idea. It's just a question. I find it interesting that people spend so much energy trying to prove things without even wondering about penetration of soft material, or of lab results showing cholesterol, or of the dangers of describing a new form of human digestion - The Lump Theory - without asking one question about any of the above.
Have you all gone mad? Can you honestly look at those stones and guess that they formed over night? Just send the stones to a lab please. It's far simpler, more direct, and doesn't involve hocus pocus digestion theories. If the lab says they are olive oil, knock me down with a feather. For one thing people use walnut and almond oils and they don't have any color to speak of. It's ridiculous to thing that old looking material formed as a lump by overnight digestion. That is not digestion. That person would DIE if they digested simple olive oil like that.
Quit wasting your life - send the stuff to a lab. Make sure you ask them how you get an oil that is LIQUID at room temperature to harden into a lump in the body that is over 98 degrees. Have you bothered to ask yourself that question? It's ludicrous. If you said it ran out of you in liquid form I would have an easier time believing this hocus pocus that it somehow coagulated via human digestion. Are you mad?
The oil does not produce the stones!!! This is totally false information!!!! Do your research before you post!!! And here is proof: Liver flushes should be done each month or so until you have expelled all stones at which times when you do additional liver flushes, no more stones will come out!!! When all stones are expelled, you can try additional flushes, but no more stones will come out. If the oil forms the stones, then after each flush, stones should come out, but once you have expelled all stones, stones will cease to come out. Try it yourself before you put false info on this site!!!
This is totally correct. Those who claim that the "stones" expelled during a Liver Flush are merely olive oil and juice that has been "calcified," etc., are putting forth false information. I know this because I passed two such green fatty "stones" the first time I ever did a coffee enema, which was long before I had ever tried a liver flush. Then, when I tried a liver flush months later, I passed many more of the same exact "stones." Not only that, but I no longer became drowsy at all after eating.
Not to mention, upon examining the stones that I had expelled after the liver flush, I found that they were surprisingly firm and condensed. Far too firm to have been magically formed in less than 12 hours in my digestive tract.
Anyway, don't believe the hype. Liver/gall bladder stones and the benefits to be had by expelling them are real. The pursuit for truth in wellness continues.
Ok I really hope that this helps with the understanding of what happens when we digest fat (including olive oil) and how the Liver Flush works. When we ingest fat it is passed through the oesophagus and into the stomach. The digestion of fats takes place mainly in the small intestines. When chyme (digestive juice and partly digested food) is passed from the stomach into the small intestine a hormonal signal causes the gallbladder to contract and eject bile into the small intestine through the common bile duct, one of the functions of bile is to decreases the surface tension of lipid and emulsifies the large fat droplets in to small fat globules (saponification) these tiny droplets of fat are called micelles, with this total exposed surface area of small fat globules increases, then the lipase enzyme produced by the pancreas can break down the miceles into fatty acids and monglcerides which facilitates their simpler and rapid absorption through the villi of the small intestine, into the lymph and then into the blood stream. In short fats are broken down by bile so it can be absorbed into the lymph/ bloodstream then back to the liver. And that's what happens to the olive oil. Most of the stones that you pass are intrahepatic cholesterol stones (not calcified gall stones). When you injest the oil and grapefruit juice the gallbladder contracts, the bile ducts are dilated from the epson salts, stones from the liver are passed into the small intestines. Then evacuated that is why so many people feel so much better. It works and here is some Science to back it up.
Home Remedy May Help Prevent Surgery in Some Patients with Gallstones
(North American Primary Care Research Group) Results of a study examining the efficacy of a traditional home remedy for inducing gallstone expulsion using lemon juice, olive oil, cascara sagrada and garlic/castile enemas suggested that this protocol has the potential to safely eliminate the need for gallstone surgery in a substantial percentage of patients. Six patients with symptomatic cholelithiasis proven by ultrasound were included in the study. The subjects completed a three-day treatment protocol and collected Gallstones recovered from the enema. All of the patients passed stones. No side effects were observed, except for mild nausea in one patient. Intermittent ultrasound monitoring was performed for three hours per day each day of the protocol. A final ultrasound assessed the degree of clearing of cholelithiasis. Five of the patients were asymptomatic for follow-up periods ranging from two to 27 months; mild symptoms returned in one of these patients after three months. The patient who remained symptomatic underwent cholecystectomy about one month after the home-remedy protocol. One of the asymptomatic patients who passed all of her stones underwent cholecystectomy anyway under the advice of her surgeon. The investigators believe that, with modifications, this protocol could safely eliminate the need for surgery in many patients with cholelithiasis.—richard l. garrison, m.d., University of Texas Medical School, Houston.
