Please excuse my delay in responding. I've been unwell, my daughter has been unwell and then xmas etc has all put an extra strain on my time and energy.
I'm in Australia and this dentist is going to remove the mercury and replace with another amalgam. He didn't give me a choice of which however. Yes, I was surprised he agreed to remove and replace but the letter from my doc made a big difference I think.
He didn't give me a choice of how many to take out at once. He's set up 2 appointments to start with. They will deal first with painful teeth issues first (3 areas), which will probably entail some removal of mercury and replacement.
He said I don't need the panorax but I'll see about talking him around on that. I want to ensure there is no NICO.
To get a holistic dentist to do this here would cost me a fortune. There is another government grant service here which will allow for such high cost items but I don't have the kind of medical team in place that one needs to pass the necessary basis for approval.
My biggest issue with this dentist is that, although he will use a rubber dam and all our dentists provide protective glasses, he doesn't have venting or oxygen to fully protect me. Or himself in my view. Mind you, I've heard that others have had their's removed without those with no problems.
I've considered the idea of hiring either or both of the above but I don't have much time to organise (appointment is next Monday 12th) and not sure if the dentist will have the setup or space available to use them anyway even if I can hire them for the treatments. Can anyone tell me if which is the best to hire if I can do either please? Oxygen or Vent? I'll keep investigating.
I heard that Bentonite can pick up any mercury one might be unfortunate enough to swallow during the procedure. It must not be talked about on this forum though since you are unfamiliar with it.
I dont understand what remove the mercury and replace with another Amalgam means.
Amalgam fillings are always mercury fillings. You dont want amalgams.
WHAT IS HE GOING TO REPLACE THEM WITH?
In my opinion venting would be more important. A dentist that removes mercury fillings without it is poisoning everyone in the area.
What is panorax and Nico? Dont swallow any mercury at all. Could end up in your appendix. Take charcoal before and after. No vitamin C for 2 days prior. No ala for 3 months after.
Sorry, I thought all fillings were some kind of amalgam. I have no idea what the dentist is replacing my mercury with but it is something else. It's taken me a while to realise that there are different types of material that a dentist will use to fill so I'm going with whatever he's willing to do at this point. My first appointment is tomorrow. I've already lost fillings so he'll start by replacing those. He has no venting system accessable so I'm just going to have to deal with it all as best I can.
My doc recommended I take Chlorophyll before and after work. I only have Chlorella on hand at the moment. It causes very painful reaction in me. Is there any point in my taking both charcoal and Chlorella? And ho long before starting work should I take charcoal or Chlorella, or both? I will take it immediately after as well.
Since he has no vent, is there any point in my covering my face with a light cloth while he's drilling? They do provide protective glasses for all work.
Thanks in advance for anymore advice guys.........Scouter

If chlorella bothers you not taking it would make sense. (It may contain mercury but in this case the idea is to remove the large amounts of mercury you may swallow so its benefits may exceed its drawbacks). I believe there is some form of algin which may have a similiar effect.

Since the idea is to remove any mercury that enters your gut it would be best to take immediately before and after.

What good would that do? You will still be breathing the mercury vapors however I dont think it is that harmful but thats my opinion.

I got a call this morning to cancel my appointment because the dentist who was going to do the work quit and moved to another practice. He's been replaced by someone new who is now away sick!
I suppose I was thinking that someone over the nose might mitigate the vapours from the mercury a little but of course, it was ill thought out. I'm glad someone thinks the mercury vapours are not much to worry about. Just about everyone else has told me I need to be protected from it.
Mercury in any form is toxic. The difference lies in how it is absorbed, the clinical signs and symptoms, and the response to treatment modalities. Mercury poisoning can result from vapor inhalation, ingestion, injection, or absorption through the skin.
Neurologic, gastrointestinal, and renal systems are the most commonly affected organ systems in mercury exposure.
* Organic mercury - Most devastating to the CNS
o Short-chained (methylmercury) - Affects the CNS
o Long-chained - Subacute/chronic effects similar to that of inorganic mercury exposure
* Elemental mercury - Primary neurologic toxicity
* Inorganic mercury salts
o Acute - Severe corrosive gastroenteritis, acute tubular necrosis
o Subacute or chronic - GI, neurologic, and renal dysfunction
Elemental mercury (Hg) is found in liquid form, which easily vaporizes at room temperature and is well absorbed (80%) through inhalation. Its lipid-soluble property allows for easy passage through the alveoli into the bloodstream and red blood cells (RBCs). Once inhaled, elemental mercury is mostly converted to an inorganic divalent or mercuric form by catalase in the erythrocytes. This inorganic form has similar properties to inorganic mercury (eg, poor lipid solubility, limited permeability to the blood brain barrier, and excretion in feces). Small amounts of nonoxidized elemental mercury continue to persist and account for central nervous system toxicity.
Elemental mercury would be released on drilling as a vapour.
IMO I would wait and use a dentist who has the right apparatus (suction and separate air supply at the very least)
I've about exhausted all my options for safe removal of mercury. I'm on a disabled pension so cannot afford a private dentist and the biological dentists in my state ill not treat me just for the government grant. They are not fully funded if they do.
My doc has suggested that I take charcoal and/or Chlorophill before and after the mercury removal. I don't know if that's enough protection.
Sorry for the late reply!
Yes nausea has almost completely gone - I can also now eat virtually anything I want and i try to vary my diet as much as possible now.
No more cramps either or sharp pains - they seem like a distant memory Iodine (lugols) has improved my energy levels significantly too.
I still pass blood but it has improved considerably and i suspect that it will stop once most of the mercury is out of my system as candida should level out.
I have water only fasted several times and that helped me enormously, and I have also been using Andy Cutlers approach to chelating heavy metals from my system for the past few months with gradual but noticeable improvement.
As you can probably tell I use several approaches and this suits me very well, as work, time, money are limiting factors.
Thanks for taking an interest oblique - I have to say that I have curezone to thank for my health improvements, and all the splendid people here who share their knowledge and experiences with us all.
