It was highly suggested that I post this to you from a poster within the Oil Pulling forum. (http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1346499#i)
Any input of yours would be dearly appreciated.
"I went to the dentist yesterday, only for him to hand me a sheet stating I'll need 7 fillings, of which he would use a resin composite.
I have a severe case of a receding gumline, which I believe I have arrested with oil swishing. I also swish with oregano oil and hydrogen peroxide that has a clay and sea-salt base for remineralization.
The rest of the teeth are beginning to decay. I have a total of 5 cavities, you can see the blackish spots forming on the teeth. There are three teeth in particular that we're worried about.
One has a giant hole in it, exposing the raw nerve. The following picture IS my tooth (sorry for the graphic nature of this photo), I just took the picture this morning. They said this one is 'too far gone' because it has broken the 'enamel matrix'.
The other teeth have a single hole in each starting to form where you can see the raw nerve. It's about the size if you were to dot a pen on a piece of paper, so not huge yet, but has the potential to get there.
Now, we all know how toxic fillings are. Seven of them would overload me. Preferably, I'd like none at all.
I have completely changed my diet within the last week - fruits and vegetables, tons of salad and sea greens, no meat, the only dairy is raw cheese. All organic. B-vitamins, iodine, ect. No soda, no coffee, only clean water.
Is it POSSIBLE to regrow the gumline? (They told me it was biologically impossible). Even moreso, is it at ALL possible to regrow the bone on the teeth with the exposed nerves?
Has anyone been told they have a cavity before, and reversed it through natural means?"
I do have an appointment to fill this tooth in particular, but depending on your response, I may cancel it.
remineralization can take place. i have done it myself, but it takes consistency and i gave up on my teeth a long time ago.
pain is the great motivator here. if you can keep the pain at bay you can keep the dentist away. of course all they can do is more damage. but at this point you can chose to have that damage done and take responsibility for it.
also of course, the dentist will tell you he is your saviour as there is nothing you can do for yourself. thats crap.
first thing you have to do is throw away all your toothpaste, etc. the glycerin in the toothpaste prevents mineral carrying saliva from ever reaching the enamel of your teeth.
i used barefoots tooth powder to remineralize a gumline cavity similar to what you show. i just brushed with baking soda and then packed some of the herbal powder between my cheek and gum, just like snuff, right at the point of the cavity. i didnt notice any difference other than the pain went away. at my next cleaning(i dont even let them do that any more) they scraped away the ugly crust on top to reveal white tooth underneath. they also poked and prodded at it and no ouchie.
i promptly went back to having my hot drinks with honey in them and its been slowly coming back ever since. does that sound dumb? maybe, but the rest of my teeth were already toast. i have had to pull two and i have a couple more that need to be.
its better to keep your own teeth. absolutely no root canals. if you go with composites make sure they are not the kind with fluoride in them. yes, time released fluoride in your dental material. how clever of them.
if your dentist is an idiot, find another one - one you can talk to. good luck with that.
the biggest problem with plastic fillings is they dont last long. then there is the xenoestrogens in the material, the aluminum(although it is embedded so exposure is diminished somewhat by that), the nasty glues, etc.
then comes the real kicker - as you cleanse your body tries to remove everything that isnt supposed to be there, including all metal and other foreign material in the body. this is why amalgams must be first on the list of cleanup for a person just starting. cleansing without removing them only speeds the rate at which they poison you as the body tries to break them down. they do break down and fall out while you soak up all of the debris.
so there is no ideal. a perfect porcelain cap would work. metal, even braces, are never any good.
oil pulling will definitely help with the gums. another little trick my dad learned and employs is pepto bismol. yep, the pink wintergreen flavored stuff. he basically coats the inside of his mouth, especially the gums, and then goes to bed with that stuff still on the gums. in the morning he said he found little black granules like pepper in his mouth. i dont know the action of this, but his dentist declared him healed of periodontal disease by doing this.
let me know if i missed anything, or if you did. ready for that cry now?
According to Louise Tenney, M.H., author of Today's Herbal Health "Elecampane has also been used to treat intestinal worms, edema, digestive problems, skin problems, tooth decay, and gum disorders." She does not say how to use it for teeth/gums, but elecampane is usually drunk as a tea. Further on she writes "It seems to strengthen, cleanse, and tone the mucous membranes of the lungs and stomach." So maybe it effects gums the same way? I have used it for bronchitis. It is totally awesome for bronchitis and pneumonia. BUT... it tastes terrible. When it is cooking on the stove, it smells like cheap incense to me, and it tastes about like it smells. I let it completely cool down to room temperature so I can drink it (correction, gulp it) down quickly as sweeteners (i.e. honey) does absolutely nothing to the flavor. But boy, the results are awesome. A friend's husband had pneumonia, and not responding to antibiotics. He was on the third antibiotic with no response. It took 3 cups of elecampane tea and he was well.
Trapper, thank you for your input. It IS sad to hear you're suffering from the same issue, and yes, I have already shed many, many tears over this situation. Especially since there and two new, smaller holes beginning to form.
I've actually been using toothpowder for the last 4 months after reading about the nasties of glycerin from a link in your forum, so thank you for that.
After I brush with the toothpowder, I do exactly what you say you suggested - I use Dr. Christopher's Tooth and Gum powder and stuff it within the open hole.
I'm vacillating back and forth from wanting to get those three integral fillings, to just trying to repair the teeth myself.
First, I was going to use an LED light to kill bacteria WITHIN the teeth and gums and halt the growth of all of the cavities.
Next, I was going to use a device called the Novasonic Massager that is supposed to act as a pulsar and massage the gumline. This, supposedly, stimulates gum and tooth growth through low intensity ultrasonic technology and was designed by a Research Lab in Alberta, Canada for the study of growing back and repairing teeth.
Along with this would be a high mineralization diet, complete with Silica, to strengthen and encourage growth.
Your thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated. What do you think?
cleaning the body up and giving it the minerals it needs from plants is the only way i know of reversing decay in the body overall.
i have never tried to get too technical or into a lot of equipment because i just couldnt afford it. as it worked out, this has allowed me to specialize in simple cures that anyone can do. a person with nothing but a couple bucks a day can do the orange juice fast. do that long enough and thats all you need.
and thats another reason this has worked out well because everything i use and recommend is non-toxic and can be used until enough is taken to get the effect desired with no worry of overdose.
so, if you can get those things to work for you then i say thats great. as long as youre in no pain then it cant hurt to try to remineralize.
LEDs are fascinating. my brother was playing with them many years ago. i told him then he should design lighting that is full spectrum and totally programmable. you could set the clock on it and have the inside light match the outside light as if you were outside. you could even program it to read a weather signal for clouds or not. or have presets like full sun, hazy day, grey day, storm brewing, both soltices, etc. they would also make the perfect indoor garden lights - exact usable spectrum to match the particular plants needs and cool enough to place them very close to the plants so that the light is not wasted(less wattage needed).
i heard that ozone will kill the cavities and stop their growth. i was using h2o2 in a waterpik during the time i got the cavity to fill itself.
Hi, I use xylitol as a sweetener and as a toothpaste, it is fantastic stuff and really helps with dental problems, here is a link to some products and info.
I know nothing about this, but I do have one personal experience to tell...
...A 'tattoo'(?) apeared on one upper central. I felt it was from allowing a dentist to 'fluoridate', once...some time before. It seemed to me to me that he had begun by applying it directly on that tooth...and that the stain had not appeared until months, or even years, later.
This, of course, was only an instinctive guess...but, to me, it seemed quite plausible.
I did some oil-pulling with sesame seed oil, and the 'tattoo' seemed to vanish. However, I didn't keep up with the oil-pulling, and, if I remember correctly, the mark returned once.
I don't know what I did then, but the mark vanished once more.
Then, once again it returned, BUT only near the tip of the tooth!
I felt like, for all the world, that the 'mark' was 'growing out'...that the tooth was 'growing' as does a beaver's tooth, as it wears down from use.
Also, two teeth with amalgam fillings, dropped them...showing large empty 'caves' within.
I have my own theories on how that could have happened.
Cheap, whole cloves from the grocery store allieviated pain while all this was going on, and now that those two teeth are crumbling, and new cavities are forming in other teeth, at the gumline, I am seeing that there are a few places where the bits of remaining teeth are stronger and NOT crumbling.
I have been taking rounds of Humaworm. I believe there is eclampane in that.
Many thanks for sharing your adventures and hopes.
