I completed my 2nd Liver Flush last sat and back pain started around thur but I got my periods on that day too. The first flush was better - this was not so due to my constipation issues.
However I never get back pain with periods. Recently diagnosed with PCOS - due to that less MC but this time first 2 days heavy and many clots (I never ever see clots) and diet/lifestyle hasn't changed.
No urinary symptoms. Some greenish stools and some abdomen burning (which is often and why I started cleansing among other things)
Have any women here noticed heavier periods with clots and back pain during their periods while liver cleansing?
I am trying to figure out if this is some uterine fibroid causing it or is it the liver cleanse. Of course fibroids are due to increased estrogen due to which ovulation does not occur and I do know liver plays an integral part in that.
Just wondering if others have any similar experiences or input.
Yes. Women's menstrual periods tend to morph every seven years anyway, but in addition, the blood clots are typical of peri-menopausal for a number of women.
You're right about the liver playing an integral part with estrogen and ovulation. Keeping that in mind, here's something you might want to know:
The innervation for your female reproductive organs are in your lower back. Irritation or pain in the organs often results in lower back pain. I've seen this a lot in female clients.
Also, innervation for your liver is midback. And, of course, the entire spine is interrelated. When I began flushing out gallstones, the structure of my spine changed immensely, and I had to see a chiropractor for relief. Since then, I make it a habit to get an adjustment after each flush.
If you think about the way your body is put together... think about the space those Gallstones were occupying, and the pressure that put on the liver and surrounding organs and tissues. Then, think about the pressure that may have put on the spine, etc, etc. The body is a whole, and when doing these liver flushes, it has to be viewed that way... or the results and changes can seem pretty baffling.
Personally, I did experience more clotting, and after the first 10 flushes or so, my lower back started going out. It didn't just hurt... it went out, and I couldn't sit or stand on my own accord. What I discovered was that after years of having those gallstones in there, affecting the functioning of my liver and hormone production... my reproductive system had been greatly affected by it. When I released the stones, the reproductive system had to make some changes, too. I was worried for awhile, but I kept flushing in good faith, and I can say that now... I have the most painless periods I've ever had (and the mood swings are greatly improved, as well.)
My point is... when you make a change in your body like this, it is going to take some time for everything else to readjust. The body is a self-healer, and healing takes time. There's nothing wrong with getting some extra help-- like a chiropractor, massage therapist, or whatever. You definitely could talk to your doctor, but unfortunately... most doctors don't believe the Liver Flush works, and don't view the body as a whole. You could end up with more problems going that route (speaking from experience.)
Mainly, you just have to be patient and trust the process. This liver flush is powerful... it will make changes in the body, but it will do it the way nature intended it... not the way modern medicine does it. It may sound strange... but I'd have to say that you back pain and clotting are a GOOD SIGN... a very good sign that you really needed the liver flush. Keep flushing!
I noticed that my pain in my lower back has been excruciating after doing a liver flush.
It wasn't right away. I had my period & had darker than usual blood coming out. Then, I was trying a liver remedy called Liver Life by Bio Ray - just a few drops & BAM... can't walk now due to bad lower back pain, pain in shoulder, neck, migraines, swollen lymph glands...
It's been about 10 days since I did the flush.
It this due to a healing reaction?
Please help!!! I don't know what to do right now I'm in so much pain.
I'd like to continue to self treat & avoid any doctor... It's just that I've been in bed for several days & can't do anything... I need to be able to function.
I had back pain & swollen glands prior - it's just that now everything is worse.
Sounds like detoxing to me, thats just my opinion. Stay positive, push through it! Your body will be thankful you did.See how much you need this stuff? Look into all other therapies here on CZ, if you havent already. Are you drinking enough water?having enough Bm's? Get some sunlight, breathe fresh air, try to sweat a little. I wouldnt go to a doctor unless you thought you need immediate care. Yes I know, periods can be horrible. Ive even passed out from the pain before, theyve been much better now that im healing my insides. And I try do whatever I hate doing when they come(ie:exercise!!or at least move around).I also have fibromyalgia (ten years now). You can do this! be strong~eme
Thanks Ginger... My intuition is saying the only way out is through...
I have Lyme but I thought I had fibromyalgia for 9 years before getting a Lyme diagnosis.
I really felt like something happened while doing the liver flush. I didn't pass many "stones" but I could tell something was happening. Maybe 8-10 small ones & some chaff.
I just don't want to overdo it. Any suggestions how to get through this? I had migraines & bad cramps during my period. Now, I just can't move. My back is in a really bad way. It's sort of textbook - pain in shoulder, neck, lower back - all right side... swollen lymph... I know it's my liver.
I just bought some NDF Plus & Liver Life from BioRay to chelate toxins. I would like to continue but it really hurts. How do you (I) get through this so you (I) can continue?
It's weird because in some ways I feel better. What's up with that? LOL
It's been 7 days with this pain - just like you - low back pain, neck, shoulders (I too have Fibromyalgia which is not really a "disease" just a flag from your body that things are not right). My left low back is worse.
I am drinking plenty of water. I too, passed a lot chaff and only 8-10 green pea "stones" for my 2nd Liver flush.
I feel terrible with this pain and the clots during MC were scary last week but I am getting ready to do my third liver cleanse this sat. Why don't you try that too - hopefully we will be able to detox properly and push these toxins out.
Would probably stay off the liver herbs till the junk is out.
I agree with Pat1, Fibromyalgia and many similiar problems just mean youve got some crazy Sh*t inside you.LOL, Sorry, but seriously. Look at your health as a whole. Dont just treat one thing, ya know? Its great you've found Liver Flushes. I kind of just attacked myself with all kinds of stuff. First juicing, a 14 days master cleanse, liver flushes, oil pulling, dry skin brushing, psyllium&bentonite.
Especially with something like fibromyalgia, theres not going to be just one easy cure! I also have a great husband who rubs me down EVERY NIGHT, head to toe. I couldnt live without his constant healing touch. He loves it,always offers. So I dont feel so bad about it.Also, I keep a journel everyday of everything I eat, drink, and do (like when i OP etc.)Its kind of hard to keep track of everything in your head and it reminds you to do more. I make sure I get my 5-6 glasses of water a day.
One EXCELLENT thing that helped me this last Liver Flush was a coffee enema. And Ive said here before, when it was recommended to me, I thought "NO WAY". But then something inside me wanted to know how it would make me feel.I ordered it and It was delivered perfectly the day after my liver flush. And I did not feel good that day. I had 8 liquid BM's but I felt like there was a war going on inside of me.Pain, gas eveything. You would think Id feel better after 8 bm's!! I did one plain water enema, then coffee, then water again. I passed soo much solids!!! It was just stuck inside me, making me feel horrible. It was immediate relief!! Im not sure exaclt how all this will make your periods but I know since I started all this there WAY better.
I love to picture my body as a machine, and dont you want your machine to be the best well-oiled,high performance machine there is? I want to be 100%!!!! And its kind of been tough these past few months. You want immediate relief, but it just doesnt happen that way. I know im going two steps forward but it FEELS like im going backwards. PATIENCE is sooo vital. But eventually I see awesome results. Its not going to happen overnight.I havent done it yet but I also plan on doing liver cleansing everday. I think its a half lemon,TbLsp oil and water in a blender. Just make sure my liver is flowing well with all the other stuff im doing, dont want it to get bogged down inbetween flushes.
Alot of its in your mind too. Of course your going to start feeling better, you've made the move to heal yourself.Mind and body are very much connected. Also many people have emotional reactions to liver cleansing.
I dont know much about the Bio-ray stuff, sorry.
I also reccomend you go to this forum http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=970
Introduce yourself, give your story and everyone would love to help ya!! I love it there!
I am 54, perimenopausal. I began the Liver Flush about 9 months ago. I have done at least 15 in the way of Dr. Clark recipe. I began recently to do the egg yolk cleansing that I found in this Forum.
I have a very large myoma and many other smaller. The doctors wanted a surgery but I said no. I have gone through different disconfort and pain in the body which I have always adscribed to the cleansing. I used to have HUGE clots, like little stakes, and many of them. Very painful and flooding periods. After the first Dr. Clark flush they disappeared. I used to get very swollen but now everything is becoming little by little better. I do kidney cleansing by eating a lot of Watermelon and pineapple - I mean, a lot. One whole thing in one morning or so.
About a year ago, my periods began to be every three weeks instead of every four. BUT, this month it took almost the four weeks to come and I have seen only drops you could say. Almost no pain, you could say. I don´t know if I finally am arriving to the menopause face.
I have also done some enemas. Now I am not seeing but a few stones. I stopped doing the big flush for about a month because I was kind of feeling sick. I think I will do it again this Sunday. I live in Mexico, in a tiny town where there is not much available in the way of substances or herbs, so I have to do with whatever is available. I saw the Iodine info, but I am afraid to try it because it could upset some important balance I think. I have also been doing the castor oil packs.
I am sorry my post is so unorganized but it would take a long time for me to formulate a good looking message and I know I would come back to send it. The important part for me is to share with other women my experience, which I think has been a success, but one has to be serious in the intent, eat rightly and all that.
I think somethings else that has been beneficial is that I am trying to make changes internally as person, you could say spiritually, but I would say involving everything, trying to live rightly, being a good and trustable person, trying to find balance and probably all works together. I have been doing it through Buddhism as a guidance, but I am sure any faith is goodness.
My only problem has been that I haven´t been able to confirm which foods are really the ones that have estrogen and which are inhibitors. I am not looking for products to buy but foods to eat. Pepper, avocado, honey, tomato... and other things, in one place they say you can eat, in other say you can´t. I have been restricted to the ones that seem 100% safe in the different informations, making an exception here and there once in a while.
well, I wish you well. To do the cleansings to let your body heal itself I think it´s necessary to trust and to be brave and to be willing to do the work. One learn along the way with the experience, one knows the body in this way little by little.
THIS IS THE BEST WEB SITE I HAVE EVER FOUND about health. All so trusting on the judgment of the people. Thanks so much to whoever started it and to all the people who support it.
For constipation, various herbal remedies work for both the colon -- and improving adrenals as they power the whole body function. It also helps to actiivate the bile flow.
Personally, I have used Dr Schulz's Intestinal Cleanser 1 and regularly get a BM even from his IC #2. http://www.herbdoc.com
- His info is also in line I think. I think.
I also benefit from Dr. Christopher's Herb Shop, his product for Lower Bowel but have to use more. This formula is also available in some health food store's as Nature's Way inexpensive brand Intestinal Cleanse Formula 2 (I think it is #2) -look on line for the Dr Christopher one and compare the herbs in the store bottles.
StanMar health food store in Midvale, Utah (near SLC) has Stan Malstrom ND's detox formula CAC that I found very healthful years ago when they had it in tablet form. It includes butternut bark to stimulate bile flow - so some places warn against using it of people have stones.
Aloe vera whole leaf gel helps - I drink Lily of the desert brans in gallon jugs, which tested good for me with my pendulum as well as muscle testing 7 it feels good internally. Aloe definitely helps my liver as well - I can tell because my eyes get brighter and clearer with more energy (Chinese medicine - Eyes are part of the liver system).
Fresh fruit helps - especially for some people oranges. I even benefitted from drinking mini-cans of orange, grapefruit & pineapple juice I took to work for a snack. Currently I like strawberries, grapes, pineapple. I personally never got BM improvements from dried fruits.
Carrot juice in large quantities can help, and especially spinach juice. See Norman Walker's book, Fresh Vegetable & Fruit Juices - a classic.
Even a lot more water helps. I often add a peppermint teabag or two to a gallon jug of distilled water and swig it thru the day. The peppermint is said to be good for the intestines & is anti bacterial.

For the adrenals, bith western herbs and Chinese herbs have helped me invcluding when I take the items mentioned I get a BM soon. My adrenals and Kidney yin and yang have been down on and off for years since I was in my 40's, either from a lot of physical exhaustion, illness or lfe stress.
Typically adrenal glandular tablets are recommended by chiropractors & naturopaths & I do find they give me more energy.
I also use Dr Christopher's Adrenal (and thyroid and pancreas) formula. Licorice is a standard herb for the adrenals & it is recommended to take the same amount of hawthorne for the heart if you do the licorice. It has herbs for other parts of the body, too. It works well for me. Lots of energy in various organs & more endurance.
I use Dr Christopher's Liver-GB formula as well and it relaxes me and therefore must be cleansing the liver as they say it does. They say it helps with liver stones but I have not yet looked into that personally. I use the blood stream formula as well and it does calm and stabilize the heart - and I add my own either powdered or whole hawthorne berries.
Oriental medicine doctors (OMD, DOM, Accupuncturist) use Rehmannia 6 typically for yin tonic but adding kidney yang to it helps. Since my yin has been drained (as well as my kidney yang), taking a good yin tonic formula is like charging the battery for my adrenal motor. The adrenals are part of the kidney yang system.
I'll try to answer any questions on this - I am not a doctor of any kind (More so computers & bodywork) but I have been ill for some time and all this (plus more raw food diet etc) helps. I do not have any vested interest in any of the items or resources I mention. I was constipated a lot for the first 30 years of my life, then got 18 colonics in 18 days & had just switched to a vegetarian diet. That also made a big difference.
I have heard that rehmannia is a good tonic.
What are kidney yin herbs and what are kidney yang herbs?
I am assuming they would also help the adrenals...
From what I have read - looks like the first thing I need to do is address my adrenal, kidney yin (and yang) issues...
I can't handle Dr Schulz's Intestinal Cleanser 1 or `
Christopher's Lower Bowel due to the cascara and senna - very very strong and lead to dependence easily...i do love the aloe though.
Our periods are going to change as we get older. My serious constipation has somewhat been explained through FIBROIDS. No doctors for me, not for real, but going to my OBGYN for decades he quest ... Sorry, we had to truncate this message! ... Click here to read it
