I love my XM radio and especially love station 164, which is the Old Time Radio programs. Yesterday, while driving home from work, there was an old Jimmy Stewart western on and Mr. Stewart had gone to see the Doc because he had hurt his hand while branding cattle.
Doc heated up his tea kettle and when the water was warm, added Epsom Salts to the water and then placed Mr. Stewart's hand in it.....then told him to wrap it for a couple of days and it would be good as new.
Doc then shared that a woman with liver problems came to see him and after 2-3 doses of epsom salts, she never had another problem with her liver. I thought......this is just an old (probably made in the early 50's) program, but epsom salts has been around forever and it's just as good today.
I LOVE to get dirty......by that, I mean, working in my yard. Last Saturday, I was pulling some vines and got my yearly case of poison ivy and I swear, I didn't even touch it. When I realized I had it, (again) I made my Epsom Salt paste of Epsom Salts mixed with water and applied directly on the poison ivy. It was gone the next day.
I discovered this by accident several years ago after I got the first case of poison ivy. I had tried everything....even went to the doctor. Nothing worked until I thought about epsom salts. It was gone in a couple of days.
When I do a soak in epsom salt, I save all the water I can and put it around my plants, both veggies and flowers. I do soak often in Epsom Salts , h2o2, and baking soda. My plants do grow better and healthier with this addition. I pour a lot on the ground around them and put some in spray bottles for foliage feedings. Great stuff.
