I'm with you on that one Gina, I have noticed an improvement in libido, and a lot of it has to do with not being in pain with FBD. There are so many ways in which Iodine improves your system, that it is hard to pinpoint what leads to an increase in libido. When women feel good they are much more likely to want to tango.
Director John Huston said getting old and losing your sexual desire was like spending your entire life trying to stay on a bucking bronco and one day, you just dismount.
Let's just say some parts of my life would be easier if I wasn't still at the rodeo.
Well, I saw a bumper sticker that said "honk if you're horny", and I actually honked. Never did that before. That does count, right ?????????????????????
No, but I can tell my hormones are still out of balance, and I haven't been on Iodine as long as others here, nor at the higher doses. I so often forget my second 4 drops of Lugol's that most of the time I'm only getting around 25mg a day, though now in addition to the Naturethroid.
You mentioned earlier when talking about FBD that it comes in layers; one are better for a while, then it comes back for some time (but weaker).
In my experience; that is the case.
Maybe the libido-thing works in the same manner; as energy does.
The body knows what is going on; around the ovulation time libido skyrockets, as the body never give up the idea of conceiving.
The first days of my period the whole thing puts me off.
Biology ?
I believe that the day I stop ovulating I will not have those peaks, but maybe, hopefully I go over to a calmer phase without the ups and downs that the female cycle imply.
Although I no longer have a menstrual cycle, I believe I know when I ovulate, (or used to).
It still feels cyclic. Like, really increased for a few days every month - and then like nothing for a few days every month - like when I used to get my period.
It feels more "natural".
Like Wommie, too, when it was increasing, I was "on fire", so-to-speak, but now it just feels more normal.
Whatever the heck normal is...
I don't know what normal is supposed to be, however, I think all of us have been robbed of "normal" for so long because of how badly we have all been poisoned.
I am post menopausal, 54 years old, and have had the symptoms of hypothyroidism for my entire life. I have three grown children, and have had no surgery on my reproductive system. I recently began taking Lugol'sIodine 2% solution, just 4 days ago. I am taking 4 horizontal drops daily (about 24mg. of iodine). I already have more energy, but I have also noticed a definite increase in my libido! I doubt this is a placebo effect, as I was not taking the iodine to get this effect, and in fact was quite surprised when I realized that my libido had increased.
