I guess like with any recipe, it should be made the proper way first, then tweak it.
It is true that spirulina has been known to be contaminated with lead or other toxins,
But kelp even has a warning label on it here in CA, prop 65 do to its content of arsenic.
Thanks for the good advice and the links to high quality kelp sources.
Spirulina does contain B-12 and iodine, though.
I wanted to paste the link from Nutrition Data for spirulina, but my computer keeps getting a bug when I go to that site.
I will check out that kelp that is tested for contaminants. Sounds good!
