I have lived like this for years. I have achieved some succes by being super healthy. You might need a naturopath to help you out. Your lifestyle is in need of an overhaul. Keep reading this site. I agree with toxin and nutrient issues.
really? you kkow at this moment my life is a nightmare.from the moment I wake up till I go to sleep I always feel like I´m going to die no matter what I do.Can´t hardly imaging being healty again. Can you tell me a bit more about your story? Do you had issues with muscle weakness and so on?
I would agree that it could eventually be a combination of many issues like stress, mineral deficiencies, and minor health problems.
In the past I was never top fit, always kind a like living with a light flu but nothing serious.I lived a trashy lifestyle with long nights a whole lot of junk food and constant depression about why I live this way.But I never found a way out.And now in bad moments I tell myself that I have probably messed it up.I don´t changed my life and this is the consequence. And it maybe to late to change...
Hi Patrick - You probably have a variety of overlapping conditions, and a naturopathic doctor can help you determine what they are and how to treat them. The tests they use are more sensitive than the ones that medical doctors use. They can detect subtle imbalances that MDs usually miss. Dr. Ralph Golan explains this quite well in his book "Optimal Wellness."
You probably have adrenal fatigue, and a saliva test can confirm this. It can also tell you how severe it is, if you have it. I can give you a lot of information on this condition, and how to recover from it, if you are interested.

the problem is here in germany it´s very hard to find a good naturopath. So this will be a little hard.
I would greatly appreciate any information you can give me.Don´t know if adrenal fatigue can cause some of this in this severity, but as you said it could be a combination of this and other things.
Anyway it will be hard to get out of this,if it´s possible..
Hi Patrick - It's unfortunate that it's difficult to find a good ND in Germany. Can you get a referral from someone you know, or find one over the Internet? finding a good ND is extremely important in one's recovery. Is there any way you can get a saliva test on your own? Are supplements readily available in stores or over the Internet?
To learn more about adrenal fatigue, read the book "Adrenal Fatigue" by James Wilson. He also has a website, http://www.adrenalfatigue.org.
The Adrenal Fatigue Forum on curezone has some excellent posts on this condition--most of which are mine. But seriously, it's a good place to get questions answered and learn about other people's experiences with it. Also, http://www.drlwilson.com
and http://www.arltma.com
have excellent articles on AF and related conditions.
You might want to do some detoxification. It's best to start with colon cleansing, then do liver, kidney and other types. I can give you more information on this if you'd like. I hope this helps.
I will try to find a good local ND although it wont be that easy.Meanwhile I will try to get the adrenals checked by an endocrinologist. They should be able to check that,or is there any better / faster way?!
Meanwhile I may try to start a few things on my own like cleansing etc.Not totally sure where to start.Ideally I would love to get rid of my Amalgam but it´s far to expensive for me at the moment. So a total body cleanse might be the second best method...
An endocrinologist will probably give you a blood test to determine if you have adrenal fatigue. This test is not sensitive enough to detect most cases of it--the saliva test is much better for this. You may be able to get a kit and have your saliva tested at a lab without having to consult a ND.
For detoxification, it's best to start with colon cleansing. colonics and a high-fiber diet are a good place to start. You might want to read "Dr. Jensen's Guide to Better Bowel Care" by Dr. Bernard Jensen for further recommendations.
just a side thing you guys could eventually help me with.
I´m have noticed that my muscle weakness is sligtly asymetrical, somewhat stronger on the left which is usally my stronger side.that makes me a bit nervous cause I wonder if it doesnt had to be more symetrical to be caused by the things we discuss here...
so is this a specific sign or is it just normal that not all muscles are 100% equally effected by weakness?! Could really need your experiences on this because it´s one of the little things that concernes me even if it sounds stupid...
same goes for the muscle weakness causing my instability.does this make sense?!
sorry for sounding a bit of paranoid but I´m having a hard time fighting through all this at the moment.
Yes, muscle weakness can vary, and asymetry can be present along with tingling around the lips/face and fingers/toes. The weakness does also affect balance and stability,
Again, get into an endocrinologist, have the PTH level checked as well as any other recommended tests and evaluations.
Please do not put off an appointment any longer, get a diagnosis. The longer you wait, the slower the recovery.
Your calcium levels have been consistantly high, contributing to your symptoms. Calcium levels need to stay in a very narrrow range and symptoms often seem magnified when compared to the lab results.
Rechecking the calcium, also phosphorus and alkaline phosphotase are key. The MCH and MCHC values shouldn't be a worry - they check hemoglobin. Low values would be a much larger concern.
Definatly getting PTH, and a Vit. D level along with any other tests reccomended by the endocrinologist are critical to help diagnose what's happening.
got the chance to check a few things today, thx to money ;)
I have ordered calcium, phosphor, magnesium and PTH Hormone.
will get the results on friday.let´s hope for some hyperparathyroidism support levels.
in order to further support the HPT theory what serum levels would be optimal or at least suggestive?
Calcium high I know, phosphor and PTH should be more high or low?!
by the way I´m up for a regular neuro appointment tomorrow.I will eventually get an emg, which could even more eventually support the actual theory.what I mean is if there a signs of myopatic changes, that could indicate an endocrine myopathy which would further suppert HPT.sounds complicated I know but why not try it.even if the emg is clear it would not mean that it´s not HPT
If the value is >66, that indicates hyperparathyroid.
if it happens to be <10, that's a different set of possibilities.
Elevated phosphorus is another indication.
A 24 hour urine calcium level would be another test to run -with the increased serum calcium levels, there's a higher potential for kidney stones. Stay hydrated.
Speaking from personal experience, research, this great website, and common sense, probably all of our diseases are caused by toxins, pathogens, and poor diet.
That's why I think you should get on Oxygen Therapy to deal with the first two.
Eat organic and research about toxins in personal care and household items.
Hi,
I actually had your symptoms last year. I'm actually not sure what it was or how I fixed it. I do know that I had a major infection throughout my entire body. I think it was Candida. I used Oxygen Therapy. See below.
However, I think it was definitely related to my thyroid and parathyroid because I was able to control it by avoiding Iodine ( Sea Salt and other iodine rich foods). Your metabolism / thyroid might be in overdrive ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graves'_disease
) which may also be causing your parathyroid to be in overdrive. Do a search on iodine rich foods and TEMPORARILY avoid them and see what happens. It's NOT healthy to avoid iodine and sea salt indefinitely, and I honestly do NOT think excess iodine is the cause though it can help get things under control (symptoms).
Also, I did also have a large lump in the back of my neck, but I think this was actually a fat deposit. It is much smaller now. It did mess with my inner ears and nervous system when it was really large. Maybe it was messing with my thyroid somehow. I'm not sure. It definitely messed with my nervous system.
I think for me it was either an infection or toxins, or both. That's why I suggest you get on Oxygen Therapy. See below.
Also, if your body is lacking something major, like a vitamin or mineral, then it may constantly keep you hungry until it gets it. Having low blood sugar, or not enough protein (especially from animal sources) can also cause problems. SO EAT WELL AND COMPLETE.
Vitamin C with bioflavonoids is a must . Make sure you get plenty. At least 500 mg a day. It's very important for your adrenal glands.
If your getting so called vitamin A from strictly vegetarian sources (which really isn't vitamin A), then I suggest you eat an animal source of vitamin A. Swiss cheese is good because it's low in salt and it also has Vitamin D. (It may have lots of iodine in it, but again, you shouldn't avoid iodine indefinitely.)
I also suggest you eat nuts, grains like rice (it's gluten free), and animal products. My body is very specific. It wants a combination of grains, nuts, and animal. It can be chicken or turkey, not red meat. Nuts contain Vitamin E and minerals which your body may be lacking (especially manganese).
I mainly used Oxygen Therapy to kill the infection and clean out toxins. Oxygen Therapy is based on the single oxygen atom, NOT the O2 that we breathe. Here are your choices.
1. Oxygen Therapy Supplements
You can buy OxyLift, Oxygen Elements, or Vital O. I CANNOT recommend CellFood. I tried it years ago and I did NOT feel the singlet oxygen atoms. Maybe they have reformulated the product since then, but I don’t know. I know a few years ago Ed McCabe wouldn’t endorse it.
If you're in Germany, I'm assuming it's easy to get an Oxygen Therapy supplement.
2. Hydrogen Peroxide
Your CHEAPEST way to use Oxygen Therapy is by ingesting H2O2. YOU CANNOT INGEST STRAIGHT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. IT’S MUCH TOO STRONG. YOU HAVE TO DILUTE IT. So do some research on “Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy” on a search engine. It will tell you how to ingest it. This is probably not the best way because it can eventually irritate the stomach after many months, but it is the cheapest. Also you should buy “Food Grade” Hydrogen Peroxide because the stuff you get in the market or drugstore probably has toxic stabilizers in it. At least in the United States.
3. Ozone
You can buy an water ozonator. The cheapest ones should be labeled “Corona Discharge”, not UV. This is your best bet because it’s a machine that you can use over and over again. You can use it to fill water with ozone that you can drink. You can also accustom your lungs to it and breathe it from the other side of your apartment, room, etc. It takes time because of all the toxins in your lungs, so take it slow if you do decide to breathe it. Speaking from personal experience, once the toxins are cleaned out, then you shouldn’t notice any negative effects from breathing it. At first, only leave the machine on for a minute or two.
You can also use a machine like this to purify your drinking water, meat, produce, etc.
WARNING: I suggest you get on some type of OPC antioxidant like grape seed, resveratrol, pycnogenol (pine bark) if you plan on using Oxygen Therapy for awhile. Oxygen Therapy is powerful. You have to respect it. However, it cures almost every disease that we have. If your just going to use it for a couple of months to clean yourself out then you should be okay without OPC antioxidants.
Also, speaking from personal experience, it may irritate some of your nerves a little bit INITIALLY. They do get used to it though.
Also, If you feel nauseous it's probably because your overloading your liver with toxins as Oxygen Therapy cleans you out. Notice your detox symptoms and lower the dosage if your have too severe of a detox reaction. Notice your senses (smell and vision). It's NOT good to stop detoxifying once you start. So just lower the dosage.
Sorry. It came to my mind last night that I did have to avoid calcium for a while, along with iodine. I was taking a mineral supplement that had a lot of calcium in it which probably contributed to my problems. However, I can take a lot of calcium now from foods and I don't have any problems. So it might be more the form of calcium. Calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate are fillers that they put in supplements and probably aren't good for the body (difficult to metabolize).
I did have to avoid calcium also in it's natural form (food) until my symptoms went away. I think you should avoid calcium now in any form until you see improvement, so cheese isn't a good idea for you now. Again, I do eat lots of calcium now and don't suffer from any symptoms.
I know I had a major infection with toxins that came along with it. Hopefully, in your case, you just have excess calcium. But did you suddenly change your diet or start taking a supplement which added a lot more calcium than before??? I still think you should get on Oxygen Therapy to clean toxins out and get at any infection.
Do liver cleanses. There is any easy one which works pretty well: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=180601
Just do it on an empty stomach like when you go to bed.
Cleaning your kidneys is also important, so your body will flush out the excess calcium.
Also, Vitamin C is a must. However, a lot of Vitamin C supplements are Calcium Ascorbate, so you should probably try to get it from foods, or make sure the supplement doesn't have calcium in it. Remember Vitamin C is destroyed by heat, so don't cook the foods rich in Vitamin C.
To answer your questions, yes, I did have your symptoms. Also, I have made a full recovery on my own. Don't worry, you can too.
just to make it clear I have not excluded parathyroidism so far.It may still be a possibility and I continue to need your help with the posted blood levels.
beside that I have had a look at my thyroid levels from may, which could eventually indicate a thyroid problem:
beside the parathyroid theory feel free to interpret this levels evaluating the possibility of a thyroid problem.have read somewhere that a TSH above 2 could indicate a thyroid issue, but that´s all I have at the moment.
The thyroid values appear to be normal, but you must get into a physician to have all of your current and past bloodwork evaluated, along with any other reccomended testing.
The elevated calcium with the normal PTH needs to be fully evaluated to rule-out other potential problems, and another PTH retest may also be in order. You need to find a definative diagnosis.
Visited my GP yesterday, who advised me to "follow the calcium"...great isnt it ;)
Of course I will do that. The raised calcium could have a number of reasons, ranging from sarcoidosis, malignancy, tumors over adrenal issues up to hyperparathyroidism which is one of the most likely.
my diagnosis tends towards hyperparathyroidism. My calcium is high,my PTH is normal. If ionized calcium is normal to high also I would most definatly have my diagnosis.
But anyway I will simply screen for anything. At the moment that are the things I will exclude step by step(not all of them related to calcium)
Tomorrow I have a neurological check up to once again rule out a muscle disease. If that is clear,I will step back from the neurological issues.By the way,I did a little experience with my muscles last week doing a bit of handstand training the whole week just to see what happens.doesnt expected much because at the moment even everyday movements seem difficult.but guess what, today I simply tried to lift 110 lbs overhead.Something I have not done since 2 years where I still was a fit athlete.I used to be able to lift it for 1 repetion,as I said two years ago.And today after 1 week of handstand training I easily did 2 reps without warming up.that was more than suprising for me.But it shows me that my muscles are still able to grow, because I have tried the same test 2 weeks ago and could barely get the bar up but not in anyway above my head.So that´s something that put a big smile in what seemed to happen to be another sad grey day.I will keep on with the handstand training for further results. So that just as little sideway story.
So tomorrow neuro appointment.Additionaly I have orderd chest X-Ray,stomach and thyroid sonography, lung fuction test, cardio test, and bone density testing for next week. That will cover alot of the things listed above.Endocrinology appointment is also on the way in the next weeks to run the full panels. And I will try to ask an old friend to measure 24h magnesium levels and ionized calcium as soon as possible. These whole array of tests should give us some insight on what is going on.And if I´m lucky I will end up with hyperparathyroidism ;) that would be the easiest one to handle...
But if everything comes back normal it could eventually also be something psychological. To be honest I have always dismissed this completly. But after the strenght test today I´m not so sure anymore.Because I was pretty convinced that I could not get stronger and therefore it couldnt be something in the psycho-category.But today tends to make me think that the mind can eventually be an extremly powerful mechanism...
but let´s wait and see.and wish me luck for all this diagnosis stuff...it will cost me a whole lot of money, that´s for sure ;)
As I said before, almost all disease is caused by:
1. Toxins
2. Pathogens (Infection)
3. Poor Diet (too little or too much of nutrients)
YOUR BODY CAN HEAL ITSELF IF YOU DEAL WITH THE 3 ISSUES ABOVE!
Oxygen Therapy deals with the first two almost perfectly. You should do the liver cleanse though on a regular basis, at least, to help with the toxins. The colon and kidney cleanses may be necessary too. There is an easy liver cleanse that works pretty well:
Go to the store and buy some Hydrogen Peroxide. Normally you should get "Food Grade", so it doesn't have any stabilizers in it. However, this is probably hard to find outside of the Internet. If you can't find "Food Grade", it's still fine because the pro's definitely outweigh the con's. It may have a small amount of toxic stabilizers, but the H2O2 is going to break those down anyway. (Or you can buy a Oxygen Therapy supplement like the ones I listed in my previous post).
Put 3 drops in a glass of water. The water should be distilled or filtered but again it's not necessary because the pro's will definitely outweigh the con's.
Take 3 times a day. The next day add a drop. So that's 4 drops in a glass of water 3 times a day. Then 5 drops in a glass of water 3 times a day. Keep adding a drop everyday. I don't know the maximum number of drops (search "Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy"), but you should eventually feel a strong amount of oxygen running through your system. And you should also notice some detox reactions. When you get to that point, then you may consider sticking with that number of drops. You could keep increasing, but you might get too strong of a detox reaction, and you may eventually upset your stomach.
As I said before, I now can eat large amounts of calcium and still not have any symptoms of hyperparathyroidism. Why? Because I cleaned myself out (toxins, pathogens) with Oxygen Therapy.
Your symptoms are much too strong for it too be psychological.
Hey, any updates??? Very curious about what you found out and where you're at right now.
If it helps you I have similar symptoms as you and was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism.... the PTH & Calcium can flucuate between normal and high... this is completely normal in hyperparathyroidism.
I also was diagnosed with lyme disease & sleep apnea. These two things might also be something to look into... the lyme disease more than the sleep apnea. Lyme disease can cause all your symptoms. All my neurological complaints were relieved by antibiotics... I still have muscle weakness which I believe to be from my hyperparathyroidism.
thx for asking about my situation.sadly there are not much news so far.my situation has become worse, cause I can´t even walk barefoot at the moment without pain in my feet and ankles. To me it´s like walking without tissue sorrounding the bone...sounds strange but that´s how it feels.
I will try to get my thyroid checked within this week to further evaluate this problem.hyperparathyroidism as well as hyperthyroidism or hyopothyroidism are suspected from my side because of elevated PTH and TPO levels. In case of something autoimmune I will have a heard time fixing all the problems and I can just hope that there is any possibility to reverse such a condition...
I have read a few opinions that this could be possible but it seems to be an extensive approach.
further, lyme disease got some new consideration.I have checked my papers and found that I had positive IgG and positive IgM values at least once during the last months.Have to find an expert to investigate that furter...
The hyperparathyroid tissue MUST be removed to reverse the symptoms you are experiencing. The longer you wait, the more damage that is being caused, and it will become permanent.
The calcium imbalance from the high PTH is causing the nerve pain and muscle dysfunction, as well as causing havoc with your bones, digestive system, and all body systems.
Get this treated NOW, waiting will only cause more problems and will affect treating any other issues.
Lyme is definitely something that should be at the top of your list to deal with, it sounds like classic lyme that you're suffering from and possible bartonella as well. Please see a lyme literate MD regarding this!
I'd ignore what the other person said saying that the very mild hyperparathyroidism you have is gonna cause permanent irreversible problems -- that is bs. There's absolutely no evidence that hyperparathyroidism can cause permanent disability.... however it can increase your risk of heart attack and strokes etc. but that is more in the severe stages of hyperparathyroidism... i highly doubt that you have severe hyperparathyroidism... sounds more like a chronic infection instead.
