    Today we have Dave chatting with his buddy Jim, who has also become a Raw Food Trucker!       Dave and Dan are awesome people. I've followed their channel on YT for some time. I love their message!

      I'm not 100% sure, but I do think that Dave went to the Tree of Life retreat to be with Dr Cousens as well as studying the books?

      If anyone has Diabetes - I or II (or any chronic dis-ease)- I highly recommend you watch the DVD "Simply Raw - Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days" - This features Dr Cousens Tree of Life retreat, working with 6 Diabetic patients. The results are amazing and a true testimony to raw living.

      It will give you enormous hope!

      What you will also see in that DVD is that healing is an inside job ... it's not all about the food, it's an emotional journey too. You will have to face your fears and work with them .... and if you are prepared to, you will come out the other end not only dis-ease free, but a stronger, happier and more balanced person.

        thanks for pointing out that error..I got it right in the body but not the title.

        Yes, Dan's videos really good you want to juice too. He looks fabulous.

        Yes, you are right. I remember him saying he spoke with them and think he did attend. If he did not go, he did speak to someone and got addition info/support at bare minimum on the phone.

        I did want to give the books that contained the diet and reasoning/info for those who can't go to the center for the personalized treatment.

        That phase 1 is the strictest and after 3-6 months most can switch to the next phase (usually skipping phase 1.5).

        This first phase is supposed to kill off candida and give one tons of energy and a sensation of well being.

        Dave fasted or as he calls it "juice feasted" about 5 of the 18 months and at the time of the last current video said he was on day 41 of his juice fast/feast.

        This caught my attention as I am planning on starting a juice fast this week and doing the incurables by Schultz and hope to make it 45 days this time which will be less than a week before Thanksgiving so not that great timing to shrink my stomach just to stretch it back again :)

        My longer prior juice fast was 30 days. I had great results.

        Yes, that is a good video--thanks for supplying the link. I linked that somewhere earlier in this thread and wish I could afford to buy it and see the whole thing but there is a hopeful sample one can watch that together with the book/s will be enough to get one's own healing miracle for this dread disease.

          I myself prayed the day after I was diagnosed 3 months ago and got some readings in the 400, 500 and 600s and lots in the 200 and 300 and panicked thinking of a bleak future.

          That day I found the hallelujah diet at hacres.com

          I read the diabetic testimonies and got hope. I goggled raw foods and diabetes and discovered it has much better results than the diet the American diabetic association recommends and of course the SAD.

          I did not trust my alternatively health minded doctors advice to eat no whole grains ans fruits and eat 6 balanced meats of meats, veggies and good fats. It did not seem healthy to me.

          I am now on a whole food diet, vegan and eating so far 50-85% raw and working to got better. I gave up all buffets, fast foods and junk foods and am exercising daily and losing weight.

          The day after I got hope of curing/reversing this thing, I happened to go back to the hacres.com website (they eat at least 85% raw vegan, whole food diet and also cure diabetes).

          I discovered that they author of the book hallelujah diet and the website was speaking in my state the next day free. I took this as a sign and answer to my prayers and drove the hundred miles doing some sightseeing and shopping at the coolest and biggest grocery store in the nation so it was a fun day that I learned a lot.

          I went to look the book up on amazon and started searching book finding these helpful books advocating a plant based diet (and lots of raw foods) for diabetes.

          I then began to commit myself to changing my lifestyle. I am not there yet but I have done amazingly well sticking to a very healthy diet. Giving up animal though I loved meat and other animals and eggs and cheese was not really that hard as there is so much variety in the vegan foods remaining and in the fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, legumes, soy and whole grains.

          I have, though, cut down on whole grains and fruits, given up honey and other natural sweeteners and trained myself to drink my formerly heavy on the honey tea (cause I cant taste it unless a lot due to a zinc problem caused by too much estrogen (or so my doctor said) to nothing (although stevia is safe for diabetics I find it has an aftertaste though in the past some brands were good just not the ones I have now I guess). I never thought I would go from that to unsweetened herb and green tea.

          I am also eating low on the glycemic index though once in a while I have something high like Watermelon or a potato but I eat small amounts.

          The hardest animal product for me to give up was cheese and learning how to make soups and stir frys good without the little meat I put in them before.

          But the hardest of all for me is giving up cooked, not necessarily cooked but my whole (health food) pantry is full of things that have been or need to be heated. But I figure if I stop buying that stuff, using what I have slowly, eventually I will improve my numbers on the raw foods.

          Although my blood sugar is still far from normal, I have gotten no readings in the 400, 500, 600s anymore and only maybe 5 in the 300s in the last 11 weeks, so I am hopeful as I improve the diet so will the readings improve.

          I wish I was more like Dave on that but I am proud of myself for doing all I have in such a short amount of time and believe I will keep improving. Fear is a great motivator too.

          Hopefully, someday I will be healthier than I was before I got diabetes even and then the disease which got me to do what I admired but couldn't before done and that is all good.

            You mentioned the emotional healing, Invincible

            Interestingly, much of this takes place automatically as a result of the live food.

            Years ago I read some Arnold Ehret books and he and this one lady I remember had a chapter on the effects eating a fruitarian diet (above ground veggies and fruits not sure if they ate raw nuts/seeds but mainly fruitarians do) and how this diet lead them to perfect health they thought they had before until they experienced something far beyond what their vegetarian diets gave them.

            some of the things I recall the women saying happened were all ailments and even small things going away. hair turning back from grey to black, more energy than when she was a child, perfect vision, walking up a very steep hill that had most everyone panting and scarcely even feeling she was going uphill it was so easy and friends/family commenting on her complete change of personality (joyous, unworried, happy).

            They both came to feel that this the diet intended for man..god's/nature's perfect diet.

            I also remembering Dr Schulze saying if all people gave up animal products, we would stop killing each other and love one another and wars would stop.


            Dave and Dan are, in my opinion, doing God's work in really helping people as are the good people on here.

                That's a lot of good information you're sharing KS - very good of you. I hope plenty who come to Curezone will read your threads and appreciate your sharing.

                I am not overweight or diabetic .. or suffering from anything, but I do advocate the raw/living foods diet for health. For me, it works hand in hand with emotional health - it makes everything very clear.

                My little suggestion is  - do not be motivated by fear - be motivated for love of yourself. I think that's where the healing really takes place, when you spend time to honour your beautiful self and realise how much you deserve to live happily in a good feeling body. Healing is really about self nurturing - giving ourselves the best so we can eventually serve others.

                As to stevia ... haha, yes, it's horrid stuff! However, I did have some "wisdom" brand stevia which didn't have much aftertaste. You can buy it from iherb.com: http://www.iherb.com/Wisdom-Naturals-Stevia - I bought the liquid stuff in vanilla creme and English toffee. It's not perfect, but not bad either - and you only need 3 drops in a cup of herbal tea to add sweetness.

                Another sweetener that is fantastic is Lakanto: http://www.bodyecologydiet.com/no-calorie-lakanto-sweetener.php which any diabetic can take and is absolutely great stuff. It's recommended on the Body Ecology diet which is for Candida. But you can buy it way cheaper in the form of Lo Han: http://www.iherb.com/Lo-Han and this stuff tastes just like sugar (for REAL!) and happens to be a fruit sugar. Do some research on these, and i think you'll find them helpful.

                Good luck with your juice fast! Although I do prefer to call it a juice feast -) Feasting is a time to celebrate YOU! So the word feast does conjure up some wonderful aspirations.

                I'm just finishing a 10 day juice feast myself, it's been fantastic and I think I could easily go on and on ... but I don't have any weight to lose, so I won't continue, as I need some fats and seeds and stuff to balance me out.

                By the way, I also like the BarleyMax that Dave was using for juice fasting - it's yummy!

                I know you're going to get there - stay focused on how wonderful you already are.

                  Thank you so much for the encouragement and knowledge, Maya.

                  I will check out those sweeteners as I do have a sweet tooth.

                  I have not heard of the one sweetener you mentioned. I am constantly learning new things.

                  It is just I got in the habit of calling it juice fasting so people know what I mean having just heard the term juice feasting for the first time from Dave. I guess if more people say it, eventually it will eventually come to be known more.

                  So I am on day 2 of my juice feast. So far not hungry at all which surprised me as the last one I did, I was hungry and craving the first three days or so then hunger left making it very easy, but tonight at the movies my stomach started growling :) for the first time in some time as I always stay well fed due to my love affair with food. Maybe the diet changes I made prior helped on that score??

                  The more I learn, the more I am starting to think living foods are the answers to mankind's ills even the so called incurables ones. The testimonials are so overwhelming.


                  I haven't tried barley max but have tried several similar greens type products and find mostly all of them yummy, I don't think I did at first but I do now, but some are better than others certainly. Maybe I will try that sometime when I get some money. Seems people like the barley max. I made Schulze's superfood and it is not that tasty really.

                  I hear what you are saying about loving oneself but I never did all these changes before the fear hit me, so I do appreciate that fear or see it's silver lining, but I think my self love needs some work and I am definitely in need of some emotional healing and I do believe in holistic healing and know that how we think definitely does affect us spiritually and emotionally and physically and very much so. As Schulze says all our cells are listening to our emotional dialogue via I forget what kind of receptor they were in all our cells. Likely that is why love and forgiveness, gratitude, trust and all that are what we are told to strive for.

                  I think even though I do love myself, all the rejection I have gotten in life and the many, many stressful events I have lived through have affected me negatively. I feel like life beat the crap out of me..somehow I went from being super happy as a child and teen to being very unhappy etc for so long, it feels like forever.

                  I know Dr schulze says our emotions and attitude have a lot to do with people's healings and sometimes one's emotional stuff interferes with people getting well.

                  I am sure I could learn a lot from you as I have this tendency to be so nurturing to people and not to myself. I often put the needs of others ahead of myself to the point it harms me and my life but can't seem to do well at it.

                  I give so much it leaves me without the time and energy to help fix my own life. I am addicted to the computer and my kids feel it is due to my lack of support and trying to find it online which they tell me is not a good place as many nuts are out there and that the distraction online keeps me from solving my own problems by sometimes creating new problems to focus on to distract me form how crappy my life really is and they tell me that I could better find support from looking for it via where I live in real life and also use that time spent on the computer to better solve some of my problems and thus feel better.

                  My one son was really helping me but now he works all the time up to 80 hours and has no time anymore to ever call or see me.

                  I am ever so messed up, but I feel that I am ready to try to change at least some of that. Not even sure where to start or how to stop the self sabotage and poor use of time due to distraction stemming from sleep apnea induced ADD and the sanguine part of my temperament being naturally disorganized and totally non aware of time.

                  I do not believe one can only help others if one loves themselves first but do think one can do it better that way and help themselves as well as others. I have a lot to learn there I think but not sure where to start being more self affirming. I think my character and good heart have helped me still have self love in the face of massive family criticism on all fronts as I had to stick up for me as noone else did, but recognize all this has damaged me. I feel utterly alone.

                  I never guite feel good enough or enough in general so this naturally does make it harder. In fact, my grown children feel I self sabotage myself and am invested in being miserable. I don't feel it is conscientiously done but they may well be right as they are quite insightful and way, way more emotionally healthy than I am.

                  They do not hang on to slights and hurts from family for 20 years like me, don't do things they don't want to do out of guilt if they don't, really love themselves and don't always think they are selfish when they are putting themselves first or being self protective etc and, in general, astound me with their emotional health and happiness.

                  I am so unlike them. I worry chronically, get consumed by hate at times, can't take things in stride, am very self critical, see the glass half empty and see life as a horrible place and much more. They told me they never met anyone who worried like I do and say I am a chronic, compulsive worrier.

                  Do you have any suggestions on how to reverse all this?

                  I have literally been told by hundreds of people in my life that I run into that I am kind, sweet, have a heart of gold and and very, very nice and I don't do this stuff of being kind for self gratification but because I am genuine to who I am inside and very empathetic by nature and highly sensitive (the highly sensitive child and indigo child are descriptions and traits I strongly identify with though I am nearly senior status age-wise very rapidly and these things were not discussed back in the 50s and 60s and since indigo nearing age 60 are rare, I have always felt different from the world. My high IQ isolated me further as they, by nature, have many divergent traits form the world at large), but yet though I do so much for others or have so many wonderful traits people say they admire, I feel it is never enough and put my self down for not doing more or 2nd guess myself.

                  I feel I am emotionally damaged to be honest and am told I am extremely hard on myself though to me it seems normal. (I am being very honest and putting myself out there in revealing all this), but I am hoping for help maybe as sometimes I feel at the end of my rope. This is the least stressful year I have had in almost 25 years of continual problems, so maybe this is a good time to try harder to do better on the emotional front.

                  If I was half as nurturing to myself as I am to others, I would likely be very happy or spend as much time on helping me as I do everyone else, and I might be well now. I was always told how selfish I was as a kid and reared during the 50s as a catholic taught if I was not perfect I was going to hell and think in very black and white terms which are not realistic I now believe, but it is hard to break habits that old.

                  Even typing this makes me ashamed to say it all and so much more is even left unsaid. I have been told and recognize I have an abundance of wonderful traits but also have an equal number of bad traits but I tended to only focus on the bad until the last several years so most of my life I felt like such a sinner even though I am pretty much normal or in some ways better than average as a human being.

                  I am too much a perfectionist in some things and focus on the bad more than the good. Like I did with my kids unfortunately, I or they might get and did all A's or 100s in school but I focused on the one b. Might get a ton of complements but hyperfocus on the one criticism etc.

                  Is there hope for someone like that?

                  My son once stopped me when ever I said something negative about myself or others and he was stopping me every minute...oops did you realize you did it again. I was shocked.

                  I had no idea how negative I actually was or my self talk till he pointed that out to me. He made me replace each negative with a positive but I soon fell back into he old rut that was so habitual.

                  Surely in your work you run into some of these things right? How do you advise people like me and how can I add this to my healing program.

                  I want to get better and become more self loving and appreciative.

                    Dearest KS

                    First of all, I want to applaud you for your courage and honesty. Thank you also for your PMs to me. You are incredible, I really mean that.

                    Do I think there is hope for someone like you? YES!! YES!! YES!!

                    Diabetes is actually very easy to heal. I don't mean to say this lightly ... but I have seen it many times over and over again ... and as long as the person truly desires to release what is at the root of any dis-ease then everything is reversable. I have a feeling that you already understand this - that your thoughts and emotions have ultimately given you a lifestyle which attracts the label "Diabetic".

                    Diabetes is a symptom of the learned thoughts that lead to disabling emotions, that in turn lead you to act out (eat) in a certain way. The body is a wonderful vehicle to manifest symptoms to realise consciously what we are doing energetically (via our thinking and emotions). What we eventually choose to eat is a symptom. What manifests as bodily dis-ease is a symptom.

                    Diabetes is all about running out of Love. You can change the word Love for Sugar and you will understand why those that feel so attracted to sweet things are really trying to nourish themselves with Love. Diabetics are unable to accept love and absorb it. It's only learned behaviour, and that can be easily changed when one is willing to do so.

                    Do I think you can be helped? ABSOLUTELY!

                    Do I think you can have a complete healing in mind, body AND spirit? YES - COMPLETELY!!!

                    I am going to help you. I am going to teach you how to love yourself.

                    When you truly love yourself, you will find that you naturally choose the right foods to eat for the uniqueness of your body.

                    I'm not here to advocate this or that diet. I have found what works for me but I am not here to push any type of lifestyle choice, other than the one that will feel good for you. If right now, you are inspired to juice feast, then do that.

                    Right now, I have a major project I want to complete. It will take a month or so. After that, I will take you through all the steps to create the change you seek. I will support your process in becoming healthy AND happy. We will do this via the Diabetes forum and this way, many others will also be able to tap into what we share.

                    I am sending you a package via the post tomorrow (expect it in 1 week from the UK). It will keep you going for a few weeks. 

                    I will be back in contact and we will do the 'Inner Work' together. The outer merely reflects the inner ... so the Inner Work is a healing of the root of all dis-ease.

                        KS, I will be relatively brief, but I will add a few insights ...

                        Can you when you have time explain what you mean by dis-ease and it being the root cause of every disease.

                        'Dis - Ease' = when we are not at ease with any aspect of life - anything that causes negative emotion.

                        A negative thought attracts more negative thoughts, until they cause an emotional upset and that transfers itself into a minor/acute bodily condition (headache, migraine, aches etc.) If the emotions are not dealt with efficiently, they accumulate to critical mass, and become chronic conditions - what people refer to as cancer, diabetes etc. 

                        It really is that simple. I will give further explainations at a later time.

                        I guess what I am trying to say is I feel other things may be involved and not just emotions.

                        It does seem that way. It seems that way when people don't understand the vibrational and attractive nature of all matter. Every thought we think emits frequencies, and we attract to us perfect matching frequencies. For example, a bully and victim are perfect matches. They both emit the frequency of insecurity and fear.

                        Chronic health conditions are just a result of long term chronic patterns of thoughts and beliefs.

                        The more disabling the dis-ease, the more disabling the thoughts and emotions have been. Those who may have accumulted a lot of self criticism, guilt, fear, rage, anger, worry etc = disempowered thought patterns ... are emiting frequencies that attract all types of chronic ailments.

                        This is good to know, because we don't have to take a lot of physical action to turn our lives around - we only have to review our thinking and belief systems and change them to reflect a higher frequency that we will eventually emit. When we emit certain frequencies, like a state of hope, appreciation, love, joy (and I'm not talking about the slap a smiley sticker on it version) ... then it becomes easy to release anything that is no longer part of us and we start to attract an abundance of all good things - all the things that we want for ourselves - good health, happy relationships etc.

                        Better still, we do not have to change anyone but ourselves. We become the Peace we seek and then Peace is all we attract.

                        I know it does seem like life happens to us and it is not our making. But there is a borader understanding of how we really do create every circumstance (mostly unwittingly) ... and that is what I will teach you, so you can become conscious and deliberate in how you think, in how you feel, in how you emit your frequency, in what you attract ..

                        And the wonderful truth is, we do not need to cover the past, we only need to work with the here and now and move on from there.

                        I will be back to cover things in detail with you and give you many processes to work with .. in a few weeks/1 month.

        Stay in shape after weight loss

        Regular work-out helps your body by tightening and toning up the skin and your muscles. It definitely improves and shows up on your appearance.
        For stomach, the best option is to maximize the metabolic rate. In trivial terms, metabolic rate is defined as "how fast we burn the calories we consume." Our body burns calories 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Our individual metabolic rates depend upon factors like whether we are at rest or we are active, and when we ate last. The way to maximize the number of calories we burn each day is not to give up sleep but to maximize our metabolic rate while we are active.
        Every study pertaining to weight control has laid stress on the fact that the people who are most active are most successful in sustaining weight loss. Most scientists agree that exercise is the single best interpreter of weight maintenance success.

          hi yes I think exercise is very important.


          the only time in my life that I did not experience the yoyo symptom after weight loss was when I went on Dr Richard Schulze 's entire incurable program (email me if you need more info on the save your life incurable program by schulze) with a 30 day juice fast.

          I lost 60 pounds and though that was 10 years ago I still only gained 30 of it back which never ever happened in my life. I always gained it back--plus more.

          I noticed this tendency long before they termed it yoyo syndrome and that is why I quit dieting. I think the colon cleansing is what helped with that Yoyo as Dr Christoper said after several Colon Cleanses he went from 4 large meals a day to 2 and had less hunger and more energy. I believe this was because with the mucoid plague removed, the body was better able to absorb the nutrients and wasn't ravenously hunger all the time for starving for nutation that the plague was blocking.

          Amazingly at hacres.com, some people lost hundreds of pounds (as Dave the raw food trucker did) with a mainly raw food diet and find that unlike most people losing that much weight, there skin is not loose. Dave said on one of his videos that he went to a skin surgeon who did not believe he lost all that weight as his skin was not that loose or saggy.

          I also read there or somewhere that someone who was left with a lot of loose skin and no money for the surgery to remove it, went on the hallelujah diet (or any raw vegan diet would do the same I suspect) and within 2 years her skin tightened back up due to the skin which is an organ regenerating from the high nutrition.

          I would also considering adding an astringent herb externally like witch hazel tincture/ointment as these help tighten the skin and consuming apples which I read once helped and doing daily skin brushing to help with detoxing the skin.
