You've misunderstood my post, spud. ZI meant that baot with asylum seekers, putting out the 6 year old kid, "speaking to Au politicans", begging to be allowed to come into Australia. That ws a low act. that kid was told what to say. Who's heart wouldn't melt at a6 yar old? Exactly, your daughter has "only" two children and a comfortable life. Try that with 8-10. that is what I'm talking about. Obviously, if that was the case, your daughter, son-in-law would never need to and would not work. Why would they? Welfare benefits would be higher than salaries. Not into an argument, just saying what I see, here, in Melbourne. Working in Community Care, I can tell you, I've seen a lot more of rorting the system. Clients actually do say, the only reason they come to this country, because no other country gives in benefits what they receive here. Regardless where they come from. Believe me, they don't come here for the beautiful scenery.
I'm going back to my native country, Poland - probably the one of last few countries where 99.9% of citizens are born here, are Christians, are educated and are white...
Are you sure? I am from Hungary, and yes, it used to be what you've just described. Then in the 90's the Asians came, then Indians, black, Muslims, the country has been sold to foreigners. The Jewish ahs an area where no other can enter. It is a great mish-mash now, never "THe Great Hungary" again. I do hope, you'l find what you're looking for. For me, Australia is much better, peaceful, serene, it is home for good.
What are the requirements to get a work visa in Australia? I thought it was quite difficult. I did not know I could just fly there & start working. Since the average pay for unskilled workers is considerably more than here in the US, I'm surprised to here people talking about flying over there like it's an option. I read that you have to have a special skill to be able to get a work-visa there, like being an MD...
As the economy of the world continues to collapse, there will be a sort of "window" of opportunity for those seeking to transplant themselves in whatever country of their choosing.
All countries will no doubt be shifting their available manpower from immigration to dealing with social unrest.
Australia in particular will no doubt see ever increasing numbers show up on their shores -boat people from Indonesia, S.E.Asia and elsewhere. Australia is a vast country with a sparse population in comparison to others.
I would say that some areas in world would be better off than others. The Pyrenees is a place that comes to mind with regards to Europe.
I agree with Turiya. There will only be a window of opportunity for a short time. We are heading into a One World government and when that happens there will likely a much harder time of moving to a different country. Right now some places in the world are better than others but I think the time for that is short, I'd be making plans and accomplishing them as quickly as you can.
As Trapper said, we are all in this thing together and the time will come where it won't make one wit of a difference where you live because the the NWO will be instituted.
America is already the poorest 1st-world nation, thanks Bush, thanks Halliburton... & of course, thanks troops. See? I support the troops!
The book of Revelation for-tells what will happen to the great whore of Babylon who corrupts all the other nations. Eventually, when the world realizes that we are plundering, raping, and killing off everybody, the world will unite and put an embargo on this country. No one will trade with us. Well, it's already happening with a good deal of our food. No one wants GMO contaminated food to eat.
I also look forward to the day when people put their morality before their wallets, and just quit investing in American companies, & all companies that exploit, or support governments that invade other countries so that they can maintain their monopoly on whatever commodity, whether it be opium(afghanistan) or petrol(iran/iraq).
It's going to happen soon, and this country that I live in is going to be so f*cked! hahahahhaha and there will be dancing in the streets, except for the nukes that will probably be released in retaliation. "If I cannot have her, nobody can." yells the nobles as the peasants form their phalanx and turn it against them. Oh the power-lust of the elites, oh the loss and the misery of the tyrant.
The peoples of the world will fight their battles, goaded on by "you all are not of our religion", "you all are not our skin color", "you all do not speak our language", & therefore you're not human, you're cockroaches and your threat to us, the good-guys, we will annihilate. Divide & conquer. The reality is that humankind, all over the world is one, God is one, religion's agree on most things, but most people do not see reality for what it is, & for some sick reason enjoy pretending that their kind is superior, and pick on the lower castes of society. God tried to teach them, but they would not listen. They turned their backs to Allah, the Great, and so, like a stubborn child, our lessons of life will have show the way, the hard way.
Yes, I'm sure. I kept visiting my country all those years because all my family is there. Poland is very homogenous country and don't like aliens settling in especially from completely different "culture". To spot a black or indian here it's almost impossible. And this has nothing to do with racism but all to do with good nationalism.
If you have an employer that will sponsor you, you can come and work in Australia, the employer will ensure your job for 4 years, after that you can become a resident and find other work if you want. Several businesses in my town sponsor people from other countries. In my state , there are still a lot of jobs that are hard to fill, particularly where I live, in a very isolated town. Country towns and farmers are always looking for workers. The pay rates are good and you don't necessarily have to have special skills.
My partner and I own a backpackers hostel, and we have many workers stay with us while they settle into town and into their new jobs. We have had a lot of trouble getting staff in town, many people here are picky about jobs because there is a lot of work around, the economic downturn has not really had much effect over here, compared to other countries, and the unemployment rate has risen, but not much, and not at all in most country areas.
I think we have a good immigration policy here, although I really think that no matter what country you may come from, if you move to another country you need to leave your fights and predjudices behind you.
man, go somewhere else and you'll see - sh$it is everywhere,
and more of these I haven't seen anywhere in the world then in US (especially bull one:) Don't judge watching the movies, go abroad and try to live there or in other country - then we'll talk, because I can tell you right now slums in Poland would be luxury comparing to some places in US...
Funny that, that the actual opposite occurs to what is being proposed.
Diversity is a propaganda program to allow more cheap labour in and to build the economy. I really am very cynical about it.
Australia is a very barren and dry country. We can hardly carry the numbers we have, let alone increase our numbers. The politicians won't tell you this... only the scientists will.
